damn. so it's been 10 years already?!? I remember the day this album came out & how excited & sad I was at the same time thinking this would be my favorite rapper's last LP (but of course we know life in hip-hop wouldn't be the same without hov). it's hard to pick just one favorite from this album but, I'd probably have to go with "Allure". it's hip-hop perfection. even the opening lines are alluring: "the allure of breaking the law/ was always too much for me to ever ignore/ i've got a thing for the big-body Benzes/ it dulls my senses/ in love with a V-Dub engine/ man, I'm high off life, fuck it, i'm wasted/ Bathing Ape kicks, Audemars Piguet wrist.." just reciting these lyrics gives me a rush & makes me miss a "game" I was never apart of! and not to mention, Jay on a Neptunes track is almost a guaranteed win. but I digress...congrats to one of my top 10 favorite hip-hop albums turning 10 today (I feel old as hell).
