I love how it only took a simple kiss to the forehead for Mo to let his guard down and for things to deescalate immediately. As I thought, when He Tian said "my turn" at the end of the previous chapter, he wanted to give Mo affection in contrast to Mo's frustration. Of course. In the end, I think this is something they both truly desired regardless of how tense everything was just earlier.

I think the thing that gets me about Tianshan is that regardless of how freaky or rough they are in their day-to-day lives, whenever they actually do something intimate it's always so soft

They start slow, their touches linger, caress, and there's always so much trust in it, that the need for words disappears. The scenes physically show how much comfort and love they find in each other.

And even now, years later, that's still so apparent.

It's in how soft He Tian's touches are, how he kisses Mo's forehead, and how Mo melts at that. It's his expression of "fuck I've missed you so much, I've missed this love, this comfort", and how HT doesn't even start kissing his lips after this look, and rather just calls out his name, hugs him, and rubs his head against Mo.

Slightly in contrast to their personalities, Tianshan's intimate scenes are always so intimate.

He Tian's robe, Mo's shirt and boxers strewn around the bed? The red marks on Mo's mouth, ear, and neck??? His red eyes from crying???? The scratch of He Tian's shoulder?????

He tian even dressed Mo up with one of his shirts, fell asleep holding onto him and then moved closer once he woke up 😭

Just realized something. He Tian gave Mo a forehead kiss right before he left. The forehead kisses are symbolic for TianShan.... was this He Tian's way of saying, "I'm here, don't be upset, I've returned to you"

Now it makes a lot more sense to me why Mo halted, melted entirely because of this gesture, the looks they gave each other, and even why it also eventually lead to them having sex. Everything is connected, and intentional. Old Xian is a genius.. TianShan is so beautifully expressed and written.

I thought He Tian and Mo just made out and then literally slept together in the same bed, that's why Mo woke up with hickies and dry lips. It wasn't until I saw everyone was saying, "OMG, THEY SLEPT TOGETHER!" "IT HAPPENED!" "IT'S CANON NOW!" That I went back to reread and saw the scratches on He Tian's back—

Whenever I feel sad about the current (non-extra) chapters, I remind myself that we've already been shown that at some point they actually understand how their insecurities play off one another in a very casual manner.

Mo acknowledges He Tian's fear of being forgotten and tries to make amends in his own way.

Even though open affection and PDA don’t come easily to him, he still accepts and shyly reciprocates He Tian’s embrace, knowing that’s probably what will probably reassure He Tian the most. (He even calls He Tian "handsome"! Okay okay. I see you, Mo!!)

This chapter has a lighthearted tone — He Tian’s probably hamming up his offended, kicked-puppy act — but it’s endearing how one tiny gesture from Mo makes him just fold, and then he straight-up admits it’s his own fault for being so hopelessly gone on him.

Now we know how deeply Mo fears being left behind by He Tian. Those words are surely embarrassing for him. However, they also ease the guilt of being late to their date.
