I thought it might be a good idea to make some sort of reference/suggestion list for radfems or for women&girls who wanna learn about radical feminism. I’m not an authority of course but these are some of the articles and videos I’ve read and watched. Feel free to add anything!

hey i read soemthing abt u saying nobinary identities are fake, and it'd be nice if you would consider that that is racist. identities diverging from the binary have been present in many native & non-white cultures for centuries, and to dismiss that is quite harmful. some examples are tritiya-prakrti, quariwarmi, two-spirit, ashtime, mashoga and many more. The binary is quite a modern concept.

Sorry, your postmodern relativist bs just won’t work on me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I really and truly do not give a fuck if other cultures have/had their own special ways of alienating gay, gnc, infertile, intersex or castrated people. Have you considered the fact that most of these classes are only accessible to males? That females around the world have never had the option to identify out of their role of baby factory? Or how about the fact that many of them are essentially akin to words like “f*ggot” or “queer”, used to separate gay people (typically men) from the rest of society?

Do you think these cultures are enlightened because they had such strict gender roles that anyone who stepped outside of them was considered some kind of third sex? This is simply patriarchy manifesting in different ways around the globe. I know that because in all of these cultures women, female people, are still oppressed. Do you think the fact that there is a special word for gnc people in Hinduism has any impact on how females are treated? Do you think it changes the fact that Indian women and girls are married off to men they don’t know who abuse them with zero consequence? Does it change the fact that India has one of the highest rates of sex selective abortions in the world, to the point that some places have no female children?

Have you talked to people from these cultures? I have. I have friends from all over the world, from across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, and we have talked extensively about these roles. In fact, I am currently sat in a room with two people from a culture that have one of the categories you mentioned (first one, tritiya-prakrti). They said “they are men who apparently have women’s souls. People are disgusted by them but everyone is too afraid of them to say it. They’re like witches or blackmouth*”. Notice that they are still considered men, just gender non conforming men and are therefore hated and rejected.

And you know what else? Female rights in their country are practically non existent. The majority of women are malnourished because they are only allowed to eat when the men have finished. 52% of women there are illiterate. They are made to stay in tiny, suffocating sheds when they menstruate because they are deemed too impure to even see the sun. So tell me why I should care about third gender categories when gender continues to be a tool of women’s abuse. Why should I give a squirt of piss about their “non binary genders” when it only benefits men, when women are treated like dogs regardless?

They know which people are male and which are female and the females are the ones who are oppressed in every corner of this earth because of their reproductive abiities. Don’t come here with your “the noble Pee Oh Cees didn’t know the difference between a dick and a pussy until white people showed them!” because it erases the suffering of the global majority of women throughout history and into modern times. It erases the fact that men of all cultures perpetuate patriarchal ideals.

I am against gender in all forms because, essentially, it is a hierarchy that places men on top and women on the bottom, with people who step outside of it being punished. It is used to control and abuse. It is undeniably a product of patriarchy. You can dress it up differently or call it by some other name but male supremacy is male supremacy.

*Not sure what blackmouth is. I think they might have meant blackmail (like they’ll blackmail you)

Stop comparing black womens struggles to transwomen. FUCKING STOP. Black women are NOT INHERENTLY MASCULINE. STOP IT. I used to back the trans movement because I thought everyone deserves to live the way they want as long as it doesn’t harm people, but you guys keep comparing 2 completely different things because white and non-black libfems are hooked on putting us(black women) down. Every time I hear the words “prison abolition” from now on I’m just going to start screaming and not stop until they actually fucking address what their plan is for rapists. 

I know prisons are fucked.  I know they are built out of racism and classism.  I know our current system of dealing with rape is fucked.  But if you want to destroy this one small deterrent to potential rapists, you better have a fucking plan or I’m not interested.  Empathy and education are not a fucking plan for male violence and entitlement!

THIS. and if you say “well we wouldn’t have no prisons, they would just be rehabilitative,” then you better have an answer to recitivism, especially knowing that most rapes go unreported and so current stats are likely underestimated. and you better be able to answer to the victims of rape and to every woman, because we are all disproportionately vulnerable: is any rate of recitivism, like the one of 30% for “treated” sex offenders, acceptable? and you also better have an answer to the victims who do not want society to rehabilitate their rapist. do you know better than they do?

and this is only a discussion i’m willing to entertain for level 1 sex offenders. if you honestly tell me to my face that child rapists, serial rapists and killers, femicide perpetrators, etc. can and should be rehabilitated by and released into society? then we have nothing politically in common. at that point i believe you straight up do not care at all about women and girls
