The day within Lumiose City was bright, sunny, and warm. Serena was currently within the city limits looking around as everyone walked past or waved hello to the female. The city had not changed since Serena took a break from the bustling life as her feet just carried her wherever.
The female took breaks and traveled through Kalos going back and seeing the old places she had seen, she did settle at Laverre City for a bit letting the place wash away her worries and anxiety. The place was just so peaceful that it was just what she needed.
As she stopped she looked where her feet had carried her and realized she was in front of the tower. Staring up at it her mind began to wonder to a certain someone. How was he doing? Was he okay? Was he even... alive. No, he most certainly was, he couldnât be taken down that easily.Â
Hands were clenching and unclenching as she continued to think about her childhood friend.
           How long has it been?
               Four?Â
                 Five years?
The brunette lost track after the calls stopped coming and she heard less and less from him. Closing her eyes she had to shake the thoughts from her mind. As much as she wanted to see him again and hear his voice she needed to stop wishing for it to happen.
Cursing herself mentally she started to turn away from the Tower before her sights spotted something - or someone. Stopping in place she felt her chest clench as her heart started to beat faster. It looked like him, was it him? No.. why would be come back to this place again?
It looked so much like him though. Her feet walking towards the direction eyes never losing sight of him as she got closer she felt her mouth go dry as she wanted to speak out. When did it become so difficult to talk. âCalem?â Her voice was hoarse as she spoke hoping it wasnât an illusion being played on her. Oh for the sakes of yveltal. Please donât let this be a joke on her.
Violet sits across from Charles, her dirty boots braced against the expensive mahogany desk. Serenaâs red-faced manager is trying to sputter through the rest of the interview questions, and sheâs trying not to laugh at his indignation. âWill you pleaseâŠâ Charles pauses to press two fingers to his temples, ââŠget your feet off my desk? For Arceusâs sake, how unprofessional can you be?â
âVery. Also, no,â Violet shoots back, a smirk finally emerging on her lips as Charlesâs face purples with anger. She leans back in the polished wooden chair and yawns. âWhy are we even doing this? Iâve got the job alreadyâquit wasting my time.â
âYou had the job, untilâŠthis,â Charles retorts, grasping onto the last straws of his authority. âShowing up in those clothes. Stinking of alcohol. Lack of respectâyouâve insulted me at least thirty times since your arrival. As far as Iâm concerned, youâre not even the slightest bit qualified to protect Ms. Lang!â
Serena was currently getting Charleâs favourite tea considering she had a feeling that his nerves would be shot with the interview with Violet. It was then that she heard a sound that indicated that she was being called for. He actually lasted longer then she was expecting. Gathering the tea and kettle on the tray as well with three bottles of water she picked it up and headed for Charles office.
Knocking on the door she opened it up and was greeted upon Charles in her face before she could even enter the place. He started spewing sentences towards the female as she stared at him unsure of what to say.
            Not like she could.
Serena was about to say something to Charles when her ears perked hearing the whistle. Blue orbs directed towards Violet as a blush dusted her cheeks hearing her words. Staying silent as she quickly walked past the two she set the tray on the desk and placing the tea and kettle on Charleâs desk.
Charles was thankful with Serena giving him his favourite tea as he made his way back to the chair and sat down. Facing Charles she was about to ask something but closed her mouth instead. Gathering by the interactions between the two the model could take it that her manager had said the amount she would be getting paid.
Letting out a sigh she picked up the two water bottles and headed towards Violet and setting one down for her as Serena took a spot in a separate chair. âI will personally be paying you.â Pushing some of her hair behind her ear Charles could be seen pretty much having a heart attack as he heard Serenaâs words.
Ignoring her manager she continued. âI do not doubt your abilities Violet, but could you... try to cut back on the alcohol?â Staring at Violet as she spoke she cocked her head to the side. Serena wouldnât lie, she was curious about how well Violet could protect her when she was under the influence.
âYou do realize that she could have been endangered! Iâm not going to be hearing anymore, you are relieved of your duties.â A sigh escaped the male's lips as he leaned back into his chair as she rubbed his temples in frustration. The honey blonde female kept quiet for a bit letting the silence linger as the door shut with a click.
Serena Lang was a famous model and currently, her manager had fired another bodyguard due to their failing duties. Gathering her thoughts the 20-year-old opened her mouth after the silence settled. âDo I say Iâm not attending the show?â The question hung in the air before once again her manager let out a sigh.
Shaking his head side to side he spoke. âNo, you are the important guest after all. Besides everyone from all over the world will be there.â So, in the end, she was to be expected on being there.
Shifting through the other candidates that had applied to be the new bodyguard she came across one. Picking up the paper the girl skimmed through reading over. Slender fingers picked up another one and then kept going through the list of papers till she set them all down - except the first one she picked up. âSa.â She set the sheet down on the table in front of her manager.
Normally, Serena didnât have a say in really who was to be her bodyguard. Though, considering the past few choices her manager had made... well, she decided to have a say. Hearing the chair creak as the male sat up and read the paper he perked his eyes up in confusion. âExpensive...â He slowly mumbled but Serena shook her head side to side as she stayed silent.
It was as if she was walking on water, that she made her way towards the door. Knuckles tightening around the doorknob she looked behind her. âPlease give her a call. We are out of options, and sheâs the best one.â Which was true. hues had looked through the other candidates and Serena really didnât like them.
âI am willing to pay the expense for her.â Before fully leaving the room she glanced back at Charles. âWill we tell her about the issue?â Charles shook his head so quickly Serena was afraid his head would snap from his neck. âNo, absolutely not. We wonât mention it unless we really have to.â Biting her lower lip Serena was about to open her mouth to protest but Charles gave her a stern look. With that, she left closing the door indicating that she would like the phone call to be made.
      Violet Norgard.
The name that everyone knew. If people didnât know her, they sure as hell heard the stories about the female. Serena would be willing to pay the fee if it meant she wouldnât have to deal with going through any more bodyguards.
Beaming a devilish smile the honey-colored female tipped her sunglasses down. âWell, thatâs such an easy answer for an easy question!â The female swiped her glasses off as she beamed joyously. âMy clothes of course!â
