i should really take inventory of the simple things in life that i’m grateful for in a time like this.

i wish i could fly as freely in life, as i do in my dreams at night

it’s so easy when i’m asleep

just take off

find a tall tree

my mess i could see

and the beauty below me

from way up there

feeling fragile but full of clarity

hiding in plain sight

listening to sad girl indie music on the drive home

unable to speak

or feel inside my body

human form of a rain cloud

should cough up this feeling

at least i don’t feel hallow

this poem sucks

i miss my cat

i’m so sad today

all i can do is laugh
