Ares: This is Apollo. :D He made me want 10 more little brothers. Ares: This is Hermes. He made me good with just two. Ares: And this is Dionysus. He came out of -- fucking nowhere.

Thinking about Will Solace in the Pitt and the fact that Micheal Yew and Lee Fletcher's are deaths that define who he is. Lee's death put him in charge of the infirmary and Micheal's death made him head counselor.
Thinking about the fact that Micheal died close to when the Doors of Death opened. And he may not have gotten a proper funeral so his soul might not have been able to cross the river styx.
And then one day a man comes into the ED with his little kid. The kid has some injury, maybe an illness. and Will glances at the kid and his gaze softens because wow does he remind him of his little siblings. And then he looks at the man and freezes. Because he knows him.
Or he did once.
Black hair, brown eyes. Still short as hell, but not as short as he had once been. Probably 5'2, 5'3. He had the same worried expression that Micheal always used to get when Will or one of his little siblings got hurt. The same scowl of annoyance that hid concern.
He introduces himself as "Mike Davis, and this is my kid William. He goes by Billy"
And Will feels the floor drop out from under his feet.
okay i have enough followers for this (twenty-four) so favourite toa quote go
HARRISON AS A DEMIGOD??????
Yesss.
I was thinking son of Apollo. McKay and her ex-husband got married rather quickly because they assumed that he got her pregrent. and it turns out haha just kidding it was Apollo. Not of course that either McKay or her husband know this.
Harrison never met Will before he started working in the ED. But he had heard stories. So many stories. Will Solace the once in a generation healer, the best one Camp had seen in a hundred years. Will - who was alive, older than most demigods and living his life in the mortal world. The amoutn of hero worship Harrison has is unreal.
Will on the otherhand sees a mini him in and it hurts. It hurts so bad, that there is nothing he can do to change that, to protect Harrsion.
Ancient Greek hairstyles and headdresses
Sometimes I just daydream about all the cool ways Apollo could fight.
Top picks:
- levitating and shooting his arrows without the bow. Arrow rainnn 😍🔥
- wolf transformation (also werewolf transformation?!)
- phoenix (this is just my personal indulgence)
- Griffin!!!! Griffin riding! Griffin form!!!
- swan!!
- summoning massive crow flock, enough to block the sun. In the same vein, summoning bunch of rats.
- yeeting a giant fireball that looks like a miniature sun.
- bare handed blocking object 🔥
The hermes mentality is like. So like you know when you open LinkedIn and see all your colleges and peers and other ppl you don’t really know lying their asses off on the internet and using the corporate speak to announce their 101th accomplishment this year, or recruiters promoting the new round of job openings that you’ve applied to three times and have been rejected one after another but fourth time’s the charm and maybe all that networking will pay off, or that one random guy you don’t really know who’s telling everyone about his first place win in the competition you were never even in the running for? And you are filled with a special mix of rage and jealousy and spite and anger that drives you to lock the fuck in because maybe this is the time it will be different
yeah so that’s hermes whenever he sees apollos face LOL
I feel like we don’t talk about Dionysus’ human side and him being a demigod enough. He probably went to CHB. And more importantly
He’s from the Theban royal family of all families.
As in the family that started of with Cadmus and Harmonia. Who turned into snakes. Harmonia’s necklace is a cursed necklace and was involved in the end of the royal line of Thebes later with it being used to influence a person to a certain side of war during when to brothers where fighting over the crown. You know the family with ODEPIOUS in it. No wonder Dionysus is the way he is. On one side is the Greecian pantheon; on the other the Theban royal family. He never stood a chance.
Thinking of the role of psychopomps and how Hermes has probably seen thousands upon millions of ghosts; countless mortal souls who he has guided to the Underworld, their hollow-eyed faces melting and shifting into each other until no one can tell where one ghost ends and the other begins. They are always sad, always confused.
The only exception is Luke.
Luke, who looks just like he did in life, short blond hair gleaming gold in the sun and face clean of blood, blue eyes untouched by death. Who stares at Hermes from afar, looking at him an expression that Hermes cannot decipher.
"I don't understand why you're like this," he says. "You never seemed to care for me, when I was alive."
Something old and hurt surfaces in his eyes, then, jagged like the scar that splits his right cheek, and Hermes wishes he could comfort him, take the pain from his expression. He wishes he could tell him the truth — that he would do anything to bring him back; would beg on his knees before Hades, would tear down Olympus brick by golden brick if it meant Luke would be alive.
But even in death, it seems, he's fated to disappoint the son he loves most.
"You won't speak to me," Luke murmurs. "Won't even look at me."
His gaze turns baleful. "Guess I should've known."
Hermes wants to — he so desperately, painfully wants to. But he cannot. He is a psychopomp, one who leads the dead to the Underworld — if he looks at Luke, speaks to him and acknowledges him, he will have to take him to Hades. He must; it is his duty, even if the word tastes like dust and ash on his tongue.
It is selfish, he knows. But Luke was taken from him too young, too young — is it any fault of his, to want to keep him in death? So Luke lingers, always at the corner of Hermes' eye, and Hermes pretends he does not see him, does not hear him.
They're not too disimilar, Luke and the other ghosts that cross Hermes' path. Like the other spectres, Luke haunts his every waking moment; always staring, always wanting something Hermes cannot give. Another sin to add onto his shoulders, another debt he can never repay.
The only difference is that, on his bad days, he'd welcome it from Luke.
Saw the below tags by @sunfang (not sure if this is how you respond to tags on reblogged posts, sorry if it's wrong!!) and oh my god I love this take so much it's so tragic....
The parallel to Orpheus and Eurydice's story also hits so much harder when you remember that Hermes, as a psychopomp, is probably intimately familiar with it (iirc some versions mention Hermes being the one to guide Eurydice back to the Underworld, or the one who bars Orpheus from entry after he looks back) — he goes from being almost a 3rd party observer in the original myth to someone intrinsically connected as the "Orpheus" in his own story.....him wondering if this is what Orpheus felt when he was leading Eurydice out of the Underworld, being told not to look back but doing so anyway....
The last tag destroyed me because we do know how the story ends. Hermes knows how the story ends. And it will destroy him too, when it finally happens, when he finally looks back — because just like Orpheus, there is no version of the story where he doesn't.

Never love an anchor by The Crane Wives is a song for all the godly parents who love their kid/would've liked to be there
On some level, I think I always understood That a ship could never really love an anchor So, I did the only thing that I could And severed the rope to set you sailing from my harbor

There are times when I still wonder about you You are someone I have loved, but never known And you'll never see the reasons I had For keeping my claws away when they were close enough to hurt you

Ver 1 of my Phoebus X Amyclae animatic to the song 'Wine Red' by the Hush Sounds
Im having so much fun W this so far, no concrete plans on how much more I'll do but I do have ideas :D
Ok ok so, these two are Phoebus (long haired scientist) and Amyclae (short hair W scissors). Phoebus is the embodiment of the light of knowledge, a cosmic eldritch entity who likes to play humans cause he thinks they're neat. Amyclae was a normal human guy who was in a relationship with Phoebus a long time ago (ancient greek).
Something happened and Amyclae died a tragically young death, Phoebus was burries his body in the hill of his home, Amyclae.
Anyway while Amyclae was busy decomposing under the dirt, Phoebus lived alongside humanity all the way up until the end of the world came and humanity started evacuating en masse via generation ships.
Phoebus, (still not over him) decided to take Amyclae with him dirt and all, and eventually burried him again a couple of centuries later when they finally found a suitable planet. Cept psyche the planet has a big hole and the hole basically manipulates and corrupts all that feels it's 'vibes' And some how through this, Amyclae was brought back to life, except since all that's left of him is bones, he is essentially animated by a bunch of plants.
Amyclae, in ya know post-resurrection zombie head blank, got picked up by a cult (essentially) worshipping the big hole in the planet and want to usher in an apocalypse to bring about a new, better world. He is indoctrinated into this cult and many uh, 'tasks' for them, before, on a mission, coincidentally seeing Phoebus again.
Phoebus who has been working as a researcher at the government organisation for managing ghost and ghoulies (they have a problem) is living a normal life when he inexplicably receiving files of various crimes and murders (mostly badly taken pictures) and the distinct presence of a stalker. So of course he tries to find out what's going on eventually getting his hand on a photo of the culprit, who looks very very familiar.
To double check he goes grave digging the grave he burried and confirms that yup, bones are gone. Realising that his bf has not only come back to life but also became not just a wee bit insane, he resolved to kill him and put him 6 feet under (again) so that he may rest in peace.
Of course Amyclae who's at this point dreaming of a spring wedding with Phoebus is trying to convince him to his side of 'lets make a new world' much to Phoebus' dismay (current situation is not perfect but hitting the hard reset is not the answer).
So they fight, Phoebus tries to kill him but he can't. He can, if he wanted to, literally burn his essence into nothing but despite what he preaches, he can't handle killing Amyclae, even if Amyclae would be ok with it cause it's him.
So now they're in a situationship of I love you but I can't condone what you've done, but to stop you I need to kill you and I can't do that either.
They're my tragic toxic doomed yaoi 👍
imagine if lester papadopoulos was an actual person that was just, y'know, possessed by apollo for a few months
and then he wakes up with his drivers license stratched up in his pocket or something and he has a bunch of scars and injuries and every movement is a dull ache for some reason
but he can't remember anything.
