hi there! astrea here, and i present to you my child HONEY. magnolia's second-in-line who is full of rage and thirst for justice. some info about her can be found under the cut!
this also serves as a PLOT CALL! so please do give this a like and i shall be skipping my way to your dms for plotting.
this has been your psa, honey is coming for you.
tldr of her acceptance post / backstory;
tw: mentions of kidnapping, violence, child neglect!
hani's family was envied by their neighbors and didn't really help after her parents were kidnapped and their house was robbed of anything of value.
she has two siblings who were taken in by a distant relative, and her brother's last words to her was that she needs to survive at all costs.
she worked as house help at a former classmate's home for five years. envious little brat couldn't stand that hani was good at everything that she stole hani's doll and hid it. this caused a huge fight between them.
later on accused as a liar and a thief which she was locked and beaten for a week. this has led to hani to be claustrophobic.
she was only ten when she was thrown out of the house with nothing but the clothes on her back and the doll she protected with her life.
adopted at age 12, she was finally adopted. hani's goal has always been to know what happened to her parents, where her siblings are, get back at people who have wronged her, get the people who looked away and didn't help them on their knees, and make sure no other child will ever suffer the same fate as she did. however, she needs more power than just being second-in-line to be able to do all of that.
plots i crave for hani:
her advisor whose goal is to ensure that hani gets a shot at becoming the one to wear the crown.
a best friend who has been the first and only friend she trusted since she was adopted.
her betrothed, this can be purely political or one-sided. totally up for discussion on this one! just that total partner in crime style of engagement.
yeonsu tries to catch himself again, managing to land on his forearms. however… his lips crash against the startled female, and yeonsu is left feeling nothing but mortification.
-
honey, at this point, didn't know which was more embarrassing. the fact that they were tangled up in public or the fact that she was too shocked to do anything she was just on the ground, wide-eyed, almost starstruck as she looked at the man before her. it was weird how she was looking at him and his movements seemed to be slowed down by time.
she watched him struggle, in fact, she would've struggled too and would've landed on top of him like a baby giraffe who is trying to get some steps in with their weak legs. she could only blink in pure embarrassment, her heart racing, and before she knew it, he was falling all over again. but this one was soft, the landing of his lips against hers, she couldn't say he crashed his lips on her own but she could definitely say the words what the heck.
one kiss, it was all if took.
honey gasps loudly as he pulls away. no words, but her body language was very much screaming. with her cheeks flushed red, her lips agape, her eyes trembling in sheer mortification and her hands to her chest as her heart raced like it was going to fly off somewhere.
"i..-" she shouldn't be stuttering, she's usually calm and poised, a perfect image of what someone in her house should be, but right now she's a mess trying her best to calm her heart down while it continuously bangs against her chest like a drummer boy. "sorry!" she blurts out, pushing herself up in panic, only to bump her head with his, and falling back down to the ground. earlier, only the back of her head was hurting, now? it was also her forehead.
it’s a sight to behold, seeing the number of pieces displayed together in one room but there’s only one thing that rivers is truly there for that night that keeps him sticking around a little longer than usual.
-
someone like her, with a face and a name well known, in such a place was to be expected. for she loved art and has been an avid collector of pieces that just intrigued her. she enjoyed pieces that call for a fresh perspective whenever she looked at it. one that asks you a question, calls for a place, makes you long for a face. these are the things that pique her interest and one piece of art has gotten her standing there, idling a little longer than usual.
it may seem foolish of her, there are far more outlandish pieces that someone of her status should be interested in, some would probably think, but she cares for no name, she cares for the attention and the emotions that such art can bring.
she whispers as if talking to the art piece itself. "who are you?"
she lingers, eyeing the piece fondly, frowning a little as she tilts her head. she slowly backs away, then returns, shaking her head as though she feels that the painting itself was fooling her. something about it makes her sigh in both bad and good. "you seem like you're about to say something, and yet at the same time you hide behind the flowers? what do you want to tell me?" honey asks, sighing heavily as she shakes her head once again.
"it must be hard. for an artist to create beauty that hides itself from the world."
it doesn’t help that everywhere he turns - everywhere he looks - there seems to be a mistletoe hanging at the ready for any two unlucky people to run into each other.
-
she shouldn't be here. of all places to be in, hani found herself closer and closer to the friggin' mistletoe lane. one wrong move and she'll have to probably kiss a random stranger, and in her defense, she's not really interested to be here. but they were told socializing is important in upholding their image.
"sasha!" she called out for one of her friends. "mari!" she calls for another while she continued to walk around, almost aimlessly as she looked for them. her footsteps grow rushed, her hands felt like freezing, and her cheeks grow red as the bitter cold bites her skin as she continues to wander around.
maybe she should find her siblings instead. they'd be much easier to find, considering people would flock around them and whatnot.
she sighs, rubbing her hands together and trying her best to keep herself warm. "well, that's it. i'm going home." she gives herself a firm nod and takes a sharp turn, bumping into someone. were they pushed? were they always there? she didn't know. they appeared out of nowhere. that's for sure.
"oh! ow!" hani exclaims, seemingly entangled with someone, as she tries to pull away, however, the cold slippery ground causes her to lose her footing. then there was a thud and then she was on the floor.
"ow.." hani tries to rub the back of her head. "that hurt." she says before she opens her eyes. lo and behold, it seems angels do fall down from the skies because one seems to have landed here.. however, of all places to land.. why did it have to be on top of her?!
