There was a possibility that Jonghun could grow uncomfortable since he could become greatly shy in a short span of time but they’d deal with that if they ever came to it. With this thought, he wasn’t even sure if he was ready himself since he wanted everything to move at a reasonable, natural pace with Hongki. He’d actually think about everything before acting so he wouldn’t ruin what was important to him. “I like cuddling too.” Doing this would be a perfect end to their date and their day. He leaned into Hongki as his cheek was kissed and then he gently nuzzled against the baby. Then he allowed his boyfriend to get comfortable against him although he doubted it felt that nice since he wasn’t exactly that pudgy. “You should go to sleep then.” Jonghun giggled softly at the squish and squeezed him tightly.

Surprisingly, even though Jonghun didn't have a squishy body and was actually quite muscular, he was still comfortable to Hongki. Likely because he was warm and the way his boyfriend's arms felt around him made him feel safe. Humming tiredly, he nestled closer and pecked an innocent kiss to Jonghun's neck before following the gesture with a childlike whine, beginning to shake his head as he was told to sleep. "I don't wannaaaa. Not yet." In reality, his eyes were practically closing on their own, but he was fighting it as best as he could because he wanted to stay near Jonghun and spend more time with him like this before he simply went to bed. Though, after some thought, he decided that getting more comfortable wouldn't harm anything. "We can move to the bed and cuddle there, though.." They weren't even paying attention to the movie anyway, and there they could lay down and get under the warm blankets and it just all-around sounded very inviting.

Actually, it was typical for Jonghun to get overexcited about something but then suddenly withdraw from the idea entirely based on his own nerves and paranoia. This was a special case though since he was solely thinking about his boyfriend and nothing else when he decided to wait longer. At least he could recognize the apparent relief on Hongki’s features when he called everything off and suggested they try some other time. He blinked at the other and worse a blank expression as he mulled over this since he hadn’t considered Hongki would be interested. Yes, they were rather affectionate when they were both in relationships but there wasn’t much besides brief kisses. In fact, they’d only ever done more the first time Jonghun had initiated their first kiss. Now, they could actually do whatever they wanted without severe consequences. Of course, everything had to be in the privacy of their apartment since everything would basically be over if they were to be caught doing anything. “We can do anything you want.” If Hongki was ready for sex before his birthday then Jonghun would happily agree. He’d be interested in anything as long as Hongki was comfortable with it.

Pleased that Jonghun was pretty much leaving everything up to him so that he could move things at his own pace and maybe initiate or give his boyfriend a little nudge as he felt he was ready for new things, Hongki smiled and relaxed considerably. The pressure to have sex and try acts he was still wary about was now off his shoulders, and he could enjoy their relationship even more, knowing Jonghun was being patient with him and actually loved him instead of dating with the expectation that he would get sex from it. His arms still around the boy's neck, he hugged him tightly to show his gratitude, before he kissed Jonghun's cheek. "Good. I like cuddling right now, though." That was rather obvious, because he was being much more cuddly tonight than usual.. which was saying a lot, because he could be pretty cuddly at times. Grabbing Jonghun's arms, he pulled them tighter around himself as he leaned against the guitarist, resting his head on his shoulder before nuzzling into the crook of his neck and announcing in one of his cutesy voices, "Jonghunnie, I'm sleepy."

Honestly, he’d only suggested something as serious as sex in a joking manner and he hadn’t imagined they’d be together when the time even came. But everything changed when Hongki insisted he’d give Jonghun what he wanted when Christmas came around despite them not being an official couple. Now, he wasn’t completely positive that it was the right time or moment in their relationship to try something like that and he just knew Hongki wasn’t ready without asking. “Let’s just… wait a bit…” To him, this wouldn’t be disappointing to Hongki since he’d never felt like the other had been fully on board in the first place, “Maybe we can try on my birthday?” That was quite some time from now and, really, it was surprising that he was surpassing this opportunity when it was right in front of him. If it were anyone else, he wouldn’t hesitate but Hongki was special and important to him. Besides, maybe Hongki would be somewhat relieved since he literally had months to prepare himself.

This was actually a surprise to Hongki, because he never expected Jonghun to be the one to suggest they put off sex. Once they had decided what the roles would be in their sexual relationships, Hongki had become rather hesitant about the entire idea, while Jonghun reassured him it'd be fine and he would get used to it. But now, Hongki was offering a chance to try things out, and the other boy was growing nervous and telling him they could wait. And not just wait, but wait for months. But Hongki would be lying if he said he wasn't relieved, because it was true, he wasn't ready. It was why he kept using words like try and experiment, because he couldn't guarantee he wouldn't get scared and put a stop to things before they carried it out. Realizing he had time to prepare himself and get used to the idea, he let out a breath and nodded quickly, pushing closer to Jonghun and nuzzling his cheek. "Okay, that works for me.. we can wait and try on your birthday." Pausing, he bit his lip and asked quietly, "We can still make out and stuff though, right..?" Hongki was, after all, a very physical person, and just because he didn't want to have sex yet didn't mean that he also didn't want to kiss and touch his boyfriend at all.

There was a moment of silence between the two of them, although the background noise of the movie made it less tense. The way he was reacting after simply informing Hongki he had a question must’ve been a dead giveaway as to what it included. “Well….” The guitarist trailed off before he flushed shyly and adverted his gaze from his boyfriend. Even if they didn’t try anything it didn’t mean he wasn’t curious as to what Hongki was thinking. They at least needed to address it further than they already had since Hongki had been insisting a few days ago. So, after a while, Jonghun picked up the subject where they’d last left it and started over again, “You remember what else I wanted.” It wasn’t necessary to ask if either of them remembered since they’d already established that the thought still existed.

Seeing Jonghun's face flushing, Hongki tilted his head curiously and let his gaze scan over the boy's profile as he looked away. Then, he nudged his cheek with his nose a few times to try and get his attention again, jutting out his bottom lip in a pout while his fingers reached up to brush through the black strands on his boyfriend's head, twisting them around his fingers idly. He had a feeling what the subject matter was, but he was doing his best not to get shy too, since Jonghun was obviously feeling awkward enough for the both of them. So, hearing the next words to leave his lips, Hongki simply nodded, since asking questions and beating around the bush really wasn't necessary at this point. "Yes, of course I remember." Then, sensing that Jonghun wanted to address this further but was obviously not sure how to get it out, Hongki added softly, "We can try a few things if you want, but if not, that's fine too. I don't mind either way.." He was still a little nervous, but there was no harm in experimenting.

Over the years, Jonghun had learned that a sleep Hongki was basically the equivalent to a squishy and adorable version of a drunk Hongki. He’d purposely found tricks to make him like this whenever he was craving attention or affection in the past. “I love you too, muffin.” He replied in a whisper, letting his fingers twist idly in the other’s hair for a few moments until he noticed the baby becoming distracted by the film again. That hadn’t been enough loves to last him so he whined softly and nudged Hongki with his head like a puppy and stated, “I have a question.” He’d probably have to drop the cute act when he officially brought it up but at least this would have Hongki’s focus instead of the movie that he’d grown bored of awhile ago since his boyfriend was much more interesting.

Admittedly, as much as Hongki loved this particular film, he had seen it so many times that he knew each scene by heart. So, it actually made for excellent background noise, because he didn't need to keep his attention on it the entire time or even at all, really. So Jonghun's quest to get his attention worked, because the moment he heard the other boy had a question, Hongki took his gaze away from the screen and looked to his boyfriend curiously. The fingers playing in his hair made him rub his head against Jonghun's hand in a feline-esque way, kitty nuzzling closer to the touch before he inquired in the same soft, sleepy voice he'd probably be speaking in for the rest of the evening, "What is it?" Luckily, Jonghun had gotten Hongki to the stage of tiredness where his usual obnoxious personality was long gone. When he was like this, he was nothing but mellow, affectionate, and surprisingly honest, because being tired made him lower his guard and stop the stubborn acts.

When you thought about it, Jonghun wasn’t above stupidly trying whipped cream on top of tea but everyone should just assumed he had common sense. It was impossible not to notice the mess the baby made on his face from drinking the cocoa, but Jonghun just smiled to himself and ignored it since there was a high possibility it would happen with every sip if he even bothered to clean it. Even though they didn’t have a huge collection of movies, they had enough that Jonghun hadn’t yet seen each one since Hongki had selected and bought his fair share. There were a few they’d gotten from fans too although they were more innocent and appropriate than that special one they’d received. So, this happened to be a movie that Jonghun hadn’t seen or heard of. This didn’t matter much though since, like he’d predicted, he doubted they’d finish it. Eventually, his own hot chocolate had cooled enough to the point where he could drink it freely but it wasn’t too cold. He made a point of drinking every last drop quickly after he noticed Hongki was finished. This was just because he wanted more cuddles than just this so he tugged the other onto his lap and nuzzled his cheek.

Once he'd finished his mug of hot chocolate, Hongki was predictably much more tired, because he was like a little kid; Once he got something hot in his tummy, he was sleepy. And coming in from the chilliness of the outdoors to relax in the warm apartment didn't help, because he had an all-around cozy feeling that made him wish to curl up and sleep for a few days. But it also brought on the urge to cuddle, as he craved affection when he was sleepy, so a lazy smile formed on his face when he was tugged until he'd moved onto the other boy's lap. Closing his eyes and leaning into the touch as his cheek was nuzzled, Hongki hummed a noise of approval before his arms snaked around Jonghun's neck and he pressed himself closer in order to cuddle against his chest. "I love you," he confessed quietly, the words still exciting despite the fact they'd been exchanging them in private for a while now. Now, it felt more free though, being able to say such words without confusion or guilt. Pecking a kiss to the corner of Jonghun's mouth, he let their heads lean together as his gaze flickered to the television screen to go back to watching the movie for a moment, though he was gradually losing interest in it as his main focus was Jonghun.

Since tea wasn’t the best pair with popcorn, Jonghun made them some special cocoa instead and added extra whipped cream and marshmallows to Hongki’s. Once everything was all ready and yummy, he brought everything to the living room and handed Hongki his mug, “Be careful. It’s hot.” Then, he placed the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table so it’d be aside and out of the way so they could cuddle. Things weren’t exactly awkward like they were during the beginning of the date but, after the thought Jonghun had brought up before they got in the taxi, their conversation would surely dwindle. So it was smart of Hongki to suggest a movie. “What are we watching?” Jonghun wondered, balancing the hot chocolate in his hand as he carefully wrapped his arm around the other to bring him closer. Anything would be fine since he realized he rarely paid attention to the movie whenever he was around Hongki. They likely wouldn’t finish it either.

Spotting whipped cream at the top of the mugs as Jonghun brought out the drinks, Hongki easily identified the beverages as hot chocolate. Which was a favorite of his, really; He loved tea, and he loved it year round, in any weather, but cold temperatures made him want hot chocolate. Pleased by this, he smiled and clapped his hands before reaching out, heeding Jonghun's warning by taking the drink carefully so as not to spill it or burn himself. "Thank youuu!" Immediately, he brought it to his lips and blew on it carefully before taking a sip once he deemed it cooled enough, whipped cream getting on his upper lip and nose without him knowing. Scooting closer as soon as Jonghun was settled beside him, he continued to sip from the mug and smiled to himself once the arm wrapped around him to pull him closer, happy that the boy wasn't opposed to cuddling during the movie, since that had been what he'd hoped for. "Love Actually. I didn't feel like watching a movie that was all about Christmas, but this one still has a Christmas theme." Nodding as he spoke, he nuzzled against Jonghun and stayed close to his side, bringing his legs up onto the couch to comfortably curl up.

Even though they’d been alone the majority of the time on their date, Jonghun was only completely comfortable once they were both in their apartment with the door shut and locked. “Um…” He blinked and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, “I’ll go make us some stuff to eat while we watch movies… You can go pick some out?” There wasn’t anything he could think of to bring it up again and he assumed it’d find its way into their conversation eventually. So, with that, Jonghun headed for the kitchen.

Realizing Jonghun wasn't going to bring the subject up again, Hongki simply pouted slightly and nodded his head at the instructions, figuring it was best if he let the topic go until the other boy felt comfortable bringing it up again. It wasn't like they'd be doing about it right this second anyway. "Uh, yeah I'll go pick out a movie." Nodding, he watched Jonghun as he moved towards the kitchen, before Hongki himself started into the livingroom. Their DVD rack was fairly well-stocked, but Christmas movies weren't something they owned a lot of, so after browsing for a few minutes he finally picked out Love Actually. It was one of his favorite movies anyway, but it had a good Christmas theme.. and Jonghun sometimes had a thing for romantic films, so he doubted the boy would protest. Putting the DVD into the player, he took the remote and went to sit down, getting settled on the couch as he waited.

It was fairly awkward to just casually talk about it alone but it would probably be unwise while in a taxi. So Jonghun dropped the subject there and waited until the got home, secretly playing with Hongki’s hand in his lap idly. Once they arrived, he didn’t waste time since each second they were exposed to the cold the higher possibility Hongki would get sick. Maybe that wasn’t quite his reasoning but it was a good excuse.

Realizing the driver of the cab could easily listen in on their conversation, Hongki accepted that it was better to be quiet and simply sat in silence with Jonghun, letting their fingers tangle together as he played with the other boy's hand idly. They weren't too terribly far from the apartment, though, and once they reached the destination he was quick to get out of the taxi with Jonghun, sensing the bit of urgency in the other's actions. So, once they were heading into the apartment, he fumbled to take out the keys, wanting to unlock the front door for them quickly.

Since the two of them probably had no idea what time the bus ran, they were lucky enough to have a taxi pass right when they reached the bus stop again. “Remember the other thing I wanted to do…?” They hadn’t talked about it yet that day but Jonghun had been thinking about it… a lot. He helped Hongki into the car and followed in behind, giving the address.

Relieved because taxis were much more convenient at times, and it would be warm inside the vehicle, Hongki crawled into the back quickly with Jonghun's help and settled beside his new boyfriend once they were both in and the taxi was moving again. Hesitating when Jonghun mentioned the other thing they'd discussed, he hummed quietly in confirmation and tilted his head, nodding after a moment. "Yes.. of course I remember."

Feeling better once they were off the ice and he wasn’t worried about slipping from how overwhelmed he was, Jonghun held onto Hongki’s hand tightly to keep himself grounded. “We can do whatever you want…” He was honestly kind of sleepy but this was Hongki’s date. “No. You’re only not cold because you have my jacket.” Jonghun giggled again and leaned in to kiss Hongki’s squishy cheeks because he was cute.

Worried about Jonghun getting too cold, and also feeling a bit tired himself, Hongki suggested a revised version of the date after some thought, "Let's go back to the apartment, get warm and watch movies.. and tomorrow when it's not so late we can take our walk. The lights will still up even if it's the day after Christmas." Nodding his head thoughtfully, he blinked when his cheek was kissed, the unexpected affection making him giggle softly.

Another sniffle was produced but this was mostly because he was relieved now, “Okay.” That was all he could say at the moment because he was suddenly overcome with emotion since he’d been nervous the entire date. “Do you want to stop skating now…?” They still had a lot to do and Jonghun needed to calm down somehow.

Seeing that Jonghun was becoming overemotional, Hongki realized that maybe moving on and doing something else would probably be a good idea. Nodding, he dropped his hands from Jonghun's face to instead lace their fingers together, holding on as he turned and began leading the way off the rink. "We can go for the walk or something next.." Really, he would be willing to do anything, even if Jonghun just wanted to go back to the apartment and start watching movies. "Do you want your jacket back..? I'm not actually that cold.."

His eyes widened when he began to get yelled at. In turn, his mind tuned out the first half of the sassy outburst because he was rather frightened. However, when he heard the last half, Jonghun blinked in confusion and sniffed some more, “What?” None of this made sense because Hongki was screaming at him and rejecting him and wanting to be together and what.

Letting out a huff in exasperation, Hongki advanced forward, moving along the ice carefully until he'd closed the distance Jonghun had put between them moments before. Cupping the other boy's face in his hands, he stared him in the eye and repeated himself, making sure to speak clearly to try and avoid any further misunderstandings, "You are an idiot, but you're my idiot and I love you. I want to be your boyfriend. I want us to be together."

Somehow, in his head, Jonghun had imagined Hongki rejecting him and this voiced over the actual response. So his expression immediately dropped and he struggled to prevent his lower lip from wibbling in misery. “Oh…” He sniffed, unable to control this, and hesitantly pulled away and put a large distance between them.

A little surprised as Jonghun began to sniffle and pull away, Hongki stood still and stared at the other boy for a moment. But since he knew the boy was a bit dense at moments like these and tended to mishear things, he folded his arms across his chest and spoke with a bit of his old sassiness returning, "Do you even listen to me when I talk? I said yes, and that I'd love for us to be together."

“…Really?” Jonghun ended up stammering a bit nervously when he asked this but his expression brightened up a bit. The next actions by Hongki were probably what pushed him through and made it possible for him to get to the point. “I just… want to…” His eyes met Hongki’s shyly and he flushed a bit, “Do you want to finally be together…? I promise I’ll do my best to make you happy.” To him, it sounded like he’d asked quite weakly compared to what he’d planned so he quickly mumbled, “You don’t have to, of course.”

Nodding in reply to Jonguhn's 'really', Hongki smiled but stayed quiet, giving an expectant look as he watched the other stumble and stammer his way to finally getting the question out. He wanted to help coax it out of him more, but at the same time, the shy behavior was endearing and Hongki really wanted Jonghun to do this on his own. Once their eyes met and the question finally came out, his smile brightened and became more warm as he nodded his head eagerly and leaned in until their foreheads were pressed together. "Yes," he replied, finding himself to be oddly calm in comparison to Jonghun's nervousness. "I would love to finally be together."

The reaction wasn’t horrible and, if nothing, a bit encouraging so he continued, “I’m not quite sure how to ask this…” Even if they’d talked about it previously he’d never really understood what he was supposed to do at this point. So, Jonghun just stated a few random things since he was nervous. He adverted his gaze from Hongki’s face and lowered his voice as he spoke, “I want to be with you… You know I have for awhile now…” This sort of led him to trail off, not knowing how to just ask such a simple question.

Seeing that Jonghun was still nervous and thus was stalling, Hongki decided that it would be a good idea to help him along by urging him on. After all, Jonghun was the more shy out of the two of them and really, Hongki wasn't surprised that he was having trouble getting to the point of actually asking him. "And I want to be with you.." Nodding, he slid his arms up slowly until they made their way around Jonghun's neck, and he nudged the boy's cheek with his nose a few times before nuzzling, giving one last little push as he prompted, "So... what are you going to ask me, then?"

While he found himself significantly colder without the warmth of his jacket, Jonghun couldn’t help but smile despite shivering a bit. “Hongki….” His voice suddenly became nervous and he bit his lip in uncertainty for a good few seconds before figuring it was now or never. “I have something I want to ask you.” He assumed the other would guess what it was automatically and that could lessen his nerves.

Hearing the change in Jonghun's voice when he said his name, Hongki became serious and blinked, going quiet until he heard the next words to leave the guitarist's lips. Realizing the moment he'd been waiting for had most likely arrived, his eyes light up and widened a bit, but so as not to get his hopes up, he didn't immediately jump to a conclusion and instead simply leaned a bit closer as he asked in a quiet voice, "Yes..? What do you want to ask me, Jonghun?"
