Plant of the Day
Thursday 25 November 2021
To celebrate 3,000 Plant of The Day blogs and the plants that have inspire them here is the work of artist and sculptor Zadok Ben-David at the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of Botanical Art at Kew Gardens, UK. This 360-degree installation ‘Blackfield’ is made up of over 17,000 etched metal plants, individually installed by hand. Each plant sculpture takes its form from Victorian botanical illustrations. There is a surprise element as one walks around the installation; what initially appears to be all black reveals itself as colour on the other side.

and if i look at anything for too long it starts to become a metaphor for love
The feminine urge to bite things you find attractive.
“Be confused, it’s where you begin to learn new things. Be broken, it’s where you begin to heal. Be frustrated, it’s where you start to make more authentic decisions. Be sad, because if we are brave enough we can hear our heart’s wisdom through it. Be whatever you are right now. No more hiding. You are worthy, always.”

"Youre already halfway to worthless"
Thanks for that.
Went to a pretty cemetery this morning. Atherton Cemetery, IL.
This is the 4th night ive cried myself to sleep
I am homesick for a place im not even sure exists.
What if this time my body isnt strong enough to pick myself back up?
What if this time my bones break and do not heal?
What if this time I do not make it through?
What if i am not meant to?
