Okay, overthinking things about characters per usual, but I just made a connection today about Dick Grayson

Dick grew up in the circus, right? So that means he was surrounded by acrobats, elephants, the big top, and clowns. These people were like family to him, they were a safe space, and his normal. Clowns were probably just an everyday thing he saw and a source of joy

So when a tiny Robin first saw the Joker, he probably wasn't scared of him at all. After all, he looked just like those he used to be friends with...so when he finally sees how terrifying he is, it leaves him confused and shaken to see something he's so used to suddenly turn into a nightmare

Anyway, this made me sad but I also had to share the connection...I wonder if the original writers ever thought of the similarities???
