Today is the official last day of my visiting research position at Bielefeld University, Germany after spending two months on site and one month remotely. Resumed at Bielefeld Universität, Germany earlier this week after postponing severally. To co-lead an interdisciplinary project with Prof Meike, an intersection between theoretical biology and evolutionary ecology, mathematics, and statistics. I will be here till winter. I was at Munster, Germany the whole of last week to deliver a talk on “The analysis of two bridges: mathematical and statistical modeling of viral infections. A distinguished and progressive professor in his golden years - 50 I met professor Longe six years ago, and we've evolved from being my boss to family, brother, and friend. He has always believed in me and provided me with the necessary support and mentoring. He is one of the giants I refer to when I say I stood on the shoulders of giants to become who I am today.
