ARCHIVED BLOG NOTICE

i’m pretty sure everyone knows by now how finicky my muse gets, and the last few weeks (months) i haven’t been in-character at all. mostly it’s because of that, but it’s also the physical manifestation of my brain kicking my ass. i need to take some time off to get my head in a better place, and catch up on the schoolwork i’ve missed.

the only reason this blog isn’t being deleted is because i don’t want to lose the character i’ve developed: archiving leo does not mean i’ll be returning, though perhaps once i’m better, it could become a vague possibility in the future.

as i’m taking an extended break, all threads will be stopped and inbox/drafts deleted.

hbfjghbf i got a blast of leo’s muse for a sec long enough to get salty about the fact thaT LEO’S LEG INJURY DOESN’T JUST GO AWAY!! BECAUSE GHOST SPLINTER SAID IT’S ALL IN HIS HEAD !!

in eye of the chimera, the kneecap literally slid out of place. a dislocated patella can often lead to further pain and arthritis ----- even if leo’s kneecap miraculously slid back into its groove with little to no medical treatment, it’s extremely possible leo would continue suffer from more pain. dislocated kneecaps usually take six weeks to fully recover from, although sometimes it takes longer to return to strenuous activities or sports. assuming that vision quest takes place 2-4 weeks after season 3 started (according to day &&. night cycles within the episodes), leo would still be unable to walk without a crutch or brace.

even with mutant healing (taking into account how leo was essentially on the brink of death and beaten into a bloody pulp), a dislocated joint must still be set properly to heal properly ----- otherwise it will set improperly and you can risk losing all mobility in that leg, or have to re-break it to be able to use it again. both of which would take more time to recover from than if it had been properly set in the first place. the fact that he was off his crutches so early doing strenuous activity (see: fighting the swamp monster, the chimera, essentially everything else he’s done in the season leading up to vision quest) would make it even harder for it to properly heal.

tramping through the forest with a half-healed, out-of-place kneecap, and then going to the spirit realm to climb mountains and defeat shredder? it’s the icing on the mcfucking cake.

leo’s knee is always going to physically pain him ----- a supposedly-dead splinter apparition saying he’s making excuses isn’t going to change that.

YES. ALTHOUGH          he doesn’t usually engage in rough-housing with the rest of them, leo is still quite fond of it  :  it’s how they bonded as kids, and they weren’t really taught to talk about their emotions / openly talk to each other, so the main way they communicate is through physical touch. so  –  instead of telling his brothers he’s proud of them, he’ll give them a friendly nudge  ( ie : bullrush the f uCK outta them )  to avoid an awkward conversation. when he does verbally show he’s proud of them, though, it’s something immense.

♪⁽⁽٩( ᐖ )۶⁾⁾ ₍₍٩( ᐛ )۶₎₎♪          HOW ARE THEY LIKE WHEN THEY DANCE ?  ARE THEY STIFF ?  FLUID ?  A GOOD DANCER ?  DO THEY PREFER TO DANCE WITH A LOT OF OTHERS, WITH ONE OTHER PERSON, OR ALONE ?

NOT GOOD,          but not bad. he’s better when his dancing isn’t considered dancing  ( eg. katas that move a lot like contemporary, etc. ),  but mostly when he tries he can be decidedly average at b - boying. it depends if he’s really into it or just doing it for laughs  :  for laughs he’s obviously exaggerating it / making it funny, whereas if he really tries he can do some PRETTY COOL THINGS. he prefers b - boying with other people, esp. his brothers, but if he wants to try something else he’ll stay by himself until he’s perfected it.

(´∀｀)          DO THEY LAUGH WHEN THEY GET NERVOUS ?

IT DEPENDS :          usually he will, but it depends on whether he has to sell a convincing lie &&. how much is riding on the success of said lie being believed. after a few weeks of being leader, leo knows not to show he’s nervous in the face of danger  :  not only does it make him appear weak and inexperienced to the enemy, but also to his brothers. he tries to be strong and level-headed but when the situation is too much for him to handle, he will revert back to his old habits before leadership  –  such as laughing when nervous.

ಥoಥ          HOW ARE THEY LIKE WHEN THEY CRY ?  DO THEY JUST STREAM TEARS NON-STOP ?  DOES THEIR NOSE GET CLOGGED TO THE POINT THAT IT’S HARD TO BREATHE ?  IT IS EASY FOR THEM TO SPEAK WHEN THEY ARE SOBBING ?  DO THEY HICCUP WHEN THEY CRY ?

LIKE MOST          things with leo, it all depends on the situation  :  if it’s over something minor such as a broken / stolen item, it’s quiet tears that he’ll get over pretty quickly. if it’s something major, such as essentially anything that happened in the usagi arc, it’s deep heavy sobs and stuttery breaths. he’s an ugly crier, absolutely  --  that’s why he tends to hide his face in his elbow / curl up until he’s stopped. when sobbing he doesn’t tend to produce many tears, but he does hiccup &&. struggle to talk.

Signs Of A Bad Apology

Sometimes we fuck up, it happens to everyone..Sometimes we fuck up so bad there needs to be a public apology. There have been some appalling apologies and there will definitely be some more so here are a few signs of a bad apology.

1. You’re only apologizing for forgiveness: You need to very carefully reflect on your actions and why and how they upset people when issuing an apology. Are you embarrassed of your behavior? Did you hurt people you care about?  Are you receiving unwanted attention as a consequence for your actions? Why? Lastly are you apologizing to resolve the problem and the consequences at once? A sure sign you are only apologizing for forgiveness is not being prepared/understanding if an apology is rejected and or your actions unforgiven. 

2. “I’m sorry if you felt that (way)”: If you’re including this in an apology you’re implying that the person you’re apologizing to possibly overreacted when taking offense to your actions,and that there was nothing wrong with the actions warranting the apology in the first place.When you use phrases like this you are putting the blame on people you have hurt. 

3. You’re not taking responsibility: It’s important that you actively take responsibility for your actions when apologizing. You can explain your emotions during your actions, but should not attempt to justify or excuse them in any way if you are apologizing sincerely. You need to accept personal responsibility and not shift the blame on anyone but yourself. “I’m sorry ____,that I did _____” Accept fault and responsibility for your actions you guys. Address who you are speaking to and what you have done. 

4. Your apology is an explanation:  If your apology is just a long paragraph of why you did what you did, it is not an apology and can even be taken as an attempt to justify your actions by the receiving party. If you are in the wrong just admit to being in the wrong. 

5. “I’m sorry for what I did, but”: Don’t do it please see above. 

6. Your Apology wasn’t meant to be replied to: All great apologies involve conversation between yourself and the people you are apologizing to. You cannot write out an apology and then imply that this is the last you want to hear of the topic or your actions. You will always have to take responsibility for what you have done, and you will have to listen to and accept what the person you are apologizing to has to say in return. Again, if you are not ready for your apology to be rejected or your actions unforgiven, and then react badly to this-you are not apologizing because you are sorry. You are only trying to placate those you offended. 

PS: When it comes to apologies you are not apologizing to cope with what you did, you cannot forgive yourself..and then move on that’s not how apologies work. If you are issuing an apology and ignoring the other party because you apologized (and therefore it doesn’t matter to you anymore) you’re being very inconsiderate, selfish, and you are not sorry at all. 

7. You’re only apologizing because you’re being prompted to. Not because you mean it: If you’re only apologizing because you feel obligated to and not because you’re actually sorry your apology is shitty by default. It’s not sincere, you won’t learn from your actions, you don’t care. 

8. You’re apologizing for your entire existence and not your specific actions:  While making a mistake might feel like the end of the world to some of us, it’s not. Apologize specifically for what you did, not for living. That won’t make your apology a true apology, only an attempt to illicit forgiveness through guilt. 

9.  You at any point in your apology shift blame to the other party: You cannot apologize and then tell someone that they should have handled your emotions/reactions better. Do not victimize yourself in your apology. Do not try to get the other party to sympathize with you in order to get them to understand where you were coming from when you made your mistake. Do not refuse to take responsibility/fault in the situation if you are apologizing. 

10. You make no attempt to change your behavior or make amends: If your apology is true, sincere,  you will do your best to change and learn from your mistakes. Your apology by no means excuses your past actions nor sweeps them under a rug never to be brought up again.

🐢 he quietly watched what he did, unsure what he was feeling or if he was even angry at him at the same time && he didn’t like it. it was moments like this, when he went from feeling everything others felt to nearly nothing when he couldn’t figure them out that made him anxious. ESPECIALLY now with decisions he made hours prior. he started an argument && finished an argument by RUNNING AWAY .. it hadn’t been real tactful.

he nodded a little when leo spoke up about having to clean it when they got home but .. by the way he wasn’t moving immediately .. he knew he was going to be STUCK on this roof for awhile ; if he liked it or not ; seemed like leo had a lecture planned for him. or was simply gonna wait enough for him to spill beans which .. he was REALLY PRONE to doing if he felt guilty. 

glancing off he nibbled his lower beak, wracking his head for a possible excuse —- a possible way to AVOID this whole interaction. he didn’t like it. he didn’t WANT to talk about what happened. he just .. wanted to forget about it && possibly paint about it later if it honestly stuck to him like things had in the last week or so.
