MUN'S ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear followers and fellow RPers,

For those who were not able to see my announcement last night, I will no longer be roleplaying due to a lack of inspiration and my move to China to teach English for a year.

MUN'S ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear followers and fellow roleplayers,

It is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye.  I am no longer going to be roleplaying; my inspiration has completely died and I will be taking up a teaching job in China. 

To those who followed me, roleplayed with me, and stuck with me through tough times, I honestly can't thank you enough.  I will truly miss roleplaying with all of you (you're all such amazing writers!) and I'm so sorry to those who've been patiently waiting for me to comeback and pick up from where we left off.  Life has been rather chaotic and stressful as of late, and teaching full time will make it harder for me to roleplay.  

I will be deleting my account in a week or two; in the meantime, if any of you would like to keep in touch with me, please feel free to add the following:

An Unexpected Reunion || Closed with @howling-blood

"Oh…"  Connor gave his daughter a look as she made her observation of him and her mother.  Even though she didn’t quite know of Connor’s true identity, she certainly picked up on how the Assassin felt about Joanna.  "I…i do like your mother.  Very much.  Unfortunately there was a time in which I was separated from her for a long time.  I missed her so much."  

With those words, Connor gazed at Joanna with a softened look, his words very much so being heartfelt.  ”But now that we have found our way to each other again, everything has been wonderful.  And I certainly assure you that we won’t be separated again.”  He gave his daughter’s hair a soft ruffle.  ”I hope you do not mind…if I stay here with her, Mireya.  As I am very fond of you as well.”

"Of course you're welcome to stay," Joanna said softly, smiling at Connor when she heard the words.  His return to her was still so unreal, so unexpected, and everything that she'd ever wanted for herself and for Mireya, was starting to fall into place.  She pinched Mireya's cheek softly, chuckling as she looked at her father in slight confusion about what he'd said.

"Mommy says you can stay, so of course you can!"  Mireya chirped, smiling once more.  "I am happy that she says you can stay because I really like you, Mr. Connor!"  With that, Mireya reached over to hug Connor's arm.  

Witnessing their conversation from the cash register, Joanna's mother couldn't help but smile.  She walked over to their booth and began to collect the dishes.

"I'm guessing you want your ice cream now, do you Mireya?"  She smiled at her granddaughter.

"Yes, please!"  Mireya's face lit up.  "And get some for Mr. Connor, too!"

"I have my men watch there whereabouts. I usually try not to get involved in too much but once I saw Ja- that man in pain, I sent myself and my people in. I would’ve intervened sooner if I had known what they had done, but alas, going in there is practically suicide and it is not something I can even get out of." Robin crossed his arms and smiled at the woman. "I’m sorry, but I wasn’t able to catch your name? Or his? If you would care to share them I would be grateful as you are staying in my home."

"Mmhmm," Joanna nodded slowly, still skeptical of his claims.  Still, he had saved both their lives, so he couldn't be all that bad, she reasoned with herself as she studied him.  Though it was still rather confusing and mysterious, Joanna shrugged, feeling very tired all of the sudden.  The adrenaline rush that had given her the energy to escape back at the cave was starting to wear off.  

"I'm Joanna," she gave him a half smile.  "And that's Jason," she gestured over to him.  She sighed, remembering her sprained ankle as she watched the men tend to her companion.

"My apologies, but would one of your men be able to tend to my ankle?"  She asked.  "I sprained it earlier..."

"How long have you been there?" ((because why not? xD))

"Excuse me?"  She looked up, caught off guard by the voice.  "Oh um, here?"  She gestured at the empty bench she was sitting on.  

"Since…a few hours ago," she said.  "Why?" ((XD))

"Absolutely!" she agreed cheerfully. "Might gain a few pounds overnight, but who cares? I rarely indulge myself like that, so when I actually do, it’s nice. Besides, I end up losing it anyway. I have a rather high metabolism." Granted, Alsoomse was always on the move at the hospital and she went to fitness as well as combat classes in her spare time.

"Well, if you're worried about the weight gain, you're always welcome to join me at the gym," Joanna offered.  Though she preferred working out alone, it did get lonely from time to time, and she had taken a liking to Alsoomse.  It would be nice to have a gym buddy, too, she thought.  

"If you're up for it."

"Oh!"  Joanna stirred from her sleep when Pierre laid his head against her shoulder.  "Welcome home," she smiled, planting a soft kiss against his cheek.  "I’ve missed you…"

Smiling, Joanna wrapped her arms around the little girl as she snuggled up against her.  ”Everything alright, Rosina?”  She asked, smoothing some of the hair out of her face.  ”Can’t sleep?”

"Eli," Joanna repeated, stroking her belly.  "I like it," she smiled at her niece.  "I’m sure uncle Pierre will like it too!"

Rosina smiled, sitting up. “Really? You think so? I also liked Timothy too!”

"They're both great names," she nodded at her niece.  "Maybe we can ask uncle Pierre and see what he likes better," she suggested, looking at Pierre who was snoring.  

"Once he wakes up, of course," she chuckled.

The men dragged her without saying a thing. One of them apologized before putting a bag over her head and restraining her so she couldn’t get out her knives. They brought her inside their hideout where they placed Jason on a bed where one of the men tended to him as they pulled the hood off her head. The mysterious man saw that Jason was in good condition before approaching Joanna. 

"Sorry for not introducing myself before." He stated as he lifted off his hood. "Robin Hood, at your service." He said as he held outhis hand for her to shake. "I apologize for putting the sack over your head earlier, I however cannot allow anyone to see where I live."

"Mmf!"  Joanna let out a muffled cry as the bag went over her head.  As she was about to reach for her knives, a pair of hands had restrained her, causing her to cry out once again.  Without her knives and being unable to see, Joanna began to panic.  

Are they going to torture us too?  she thought as they continued to walk.  Heart thumping in her ears, she reluctantly complied to wherever they were walking her.  Once this comes off, I will take action, she told herself.  

Relief washed over her when the bag came off her head.  The mysterious men were tending to Jason and he was, to her relief, looking much better than he did previously.  She watched warily as the mysterious hooded man approached her.

"A pleasure?"  Joanna cocked an eyebrow at him before reluctantly taking his hand and giving it a firm shake.  "And how did you know just to show up when I needed help?"  She blurted out.  "It honestly seems to good to be true."

"Excuse me?"  She looked up, caught off guard by the voice.  "Oh um, here?"  She gestured at the empty bench she was sitting on.  

"Since…a few hours ago," she said.  "Why?" ((XD))

"Perfect!"  Joanna grinned, jotting her number down in Alsoomse’s phone and handing it back to her.  "I agree with the hot men part," she added with a laugh.  "It’s the perfect way to unwind and relax after a week of hard work."

Alsoomse slipped her phone in her pocket, nodding again enthusiastically. “It certainly is,” she agreed. “And there’s nothing like a bowl of ice cream in the evenings too. Regardless of the ice cream I’m eating, I always pour a little Hershey’s chocolate syrup on the top.”

"I totally have to bring some of my snacks over!"  Joanna exclaimed, her eyes lighting up at the mention of ice cream and the thought of any other sweets the two could munch on.  "We'll eat ourselves into a food coma and it's going to be the BEST way to end our busy week!"

“You should see the other guy.”

“I fought them off singlehandedly, all fifteen of them!”

“Is that blood?”

“Do you have to walk around with tissues shoved up your nostrils?”

“Ouch. That is not a pretty face.”

“They must have knocked all the sense out of you.”

“How many brain cells are you down to now?”

“Is there anything you need?”

“I’m sore in places I didn’t even know existed.”

“How long was I out?”

“Why did you hit me?”

“I didn’t mean to hit you that hard.”

“Look on the bright side. You’re alive, aren’t you?”

“Can you walk?”

“Why didn’t you call me?”

“Is it as bad as it looks?”

“I think I see a light…”

“You should have told me sooner.”

“I had him on the ropes!”

“Sit still and let me look after you.”

“I don’t need you to treat me like a baby.”

"I’m not too worried about that," Joanna winked back.  "But I’ll probably have to pass," she declined, despite wanting so much to do anything other than the work she had to follow up on tonight.  

"Maybe next time?"  She suggested.  "Next time you see me sitting on a bench again?"

"Ah, that’s fine," Alsoomse assured Jo with a shrug. Well, it’d be easier for her to get to sleep that night, anyway. "Next time’s always good. We’ll have to plan something. Which means I should probably give you my number so that we can text, yeah?"

"That would make things a lot easier," Joanna chuckled, not believing that she’d forgotten to ask.  "My next weekend looks free, maybe we can try something then?"  She added, glancing over her phone’s calendar before handing it over to Alsoomse.  

"Hope you’re not too busy then."

As she jotted in her number, Alsoomse nodded. “That’s be great!” she stated, handing Jo her own phone so that she could get her number as well. “I’m pretty sure I’ll only have to work all night the night before. I can crash for a few hours and then we can feast on carbs and movies starring hot men.”

  "I’m not American," Joanna reminded him for the umpteenth time now.  "But that doesn’t matter.  The gym is a healthier and cheaper way to de-stress."  She walked over to her desk and piled her textbooks neatly before pulling out her planner to check the dates. 

"Well," she started hesitantly, glancing over her shoulder at Edward.  An hour wouldn’t really hurt, she thought, knowing that she was going to regret the decision later. “Perhaps we can compromise?”  She offered.  ”I’ll go to the bar with you for…an hour at most, and then you come with me to the gym?”

     ”Whatever…”

          He shook his head once again, rolling his eyes once more at her words. As he listened to her words, his face contorted to disappointment. He had to go to the gym? He already went this week. He didn’t want to go again.

     ”I’ll go… And I’ll stand in the corner… I’m tired of the gym. Stop being a stick in the mud… Gettin’ tired of it…”

          He muttered the last part though. He didn’t want to hurt her feelings, but it was true. She was…boring sometimes.

"Perfect!"  She attempted a smile and walked over to him.   "It isn't so bad!"

I'm really going to regret this, she wanted to say, but she knew better. He had promised to go with her to the gym now, as long as she kept her promise of going out to wherever with him tonight.  Better to get it over with too, she thought. 

"So," she took a deep breath before asking reluctantly.  "Is it a bar or a club this time?"

Jason lie there in the leaves his face growing pale before a hooded figure dropped down and pushed Joanna to the side. He carried the front of Jason but realized he couldn’t do it alone. He started to drag Jason away from the cave and pressed a piece of cloth to his wound, knowing that Jason wouldn’t last long. He whistled and some men came out, one carrying medical supplies. The mysterious figure looked at Joanna, his face hidden by the shadows and nodded for her to come with them. ”Come on. Hurry!” He whispered loudly. “Unless you want to stay with the cannibals.”

Shoved aside, Joanna watched in slight confusion as the mysterious hooded figure dropped down from out of nowhere and dragged Jason aside.  Before she could question him or draw one of her weapons, more men appeared, some of them carrying some curious looking objects.

His nod and warning prompted her to move forward, though she was still slightly confused.  He had just shown up when she needed the most help.  

This is all too good to be true, Joanna shook her head as she followed.  It just DOESN'T make sense!  

"Who are you?"  She demanded.

  Joanna made a face at the suggestion.

"You know how much I hate going out," she said.  "I have a bad feeling that you’ll suggest the club or the bar again," she added, sighing when she remembered the last time she went with him.  It was not the best of memories, and Joanna tried her best not to remember the details of that night.  

"Besides, there are other ways to relax," she continued.  "Why not hit the gym?  It’s healthier."
