I FINALLY finished watching this new series and BOYYYY I loved itttt 😭😭😭 for those nostalgic bitches hating on Can Yaman cause "he's nothing like Kabir Bedi" please, go touch some grass.

The characters are really good. Yanez is the most Yanez I have ever seen, he's funny and I love him so much; Marianna is crazy, she knows it and she will make it a problem for everybody (+1 point for the spider YEETING himself in episode one); Brooke is handsome, complicated and I FUCKING HATE HIM, but I understand why he's so angry at everybody; and Sandokan, of course, AURA FARMING EVERY 5 SECONDS, Can Yaman did a very good job I have to say OwO

The digital effects are insanely good for an Italian TV show, like EXTREMELY GOOD, I was impressed 😮😮😮 the scenes with the boat and the open sea are my favourite

The costumes are immaculate, they feel like someone REALLY wore them, they feel like they have stories to tell you. In a world where all the costumes in TV shows look brand new, this time they put effort in "ruining them"

The music. GODS THE INTRO IS SPECTACULAR, they took the original one and made it better, Idk how they managed to do it but they did it

In general is a very good show, I grew up with the old live action series and the cartoon (even tho I never read the books, and I really should read themmmm ajdkshdksjs) so seeing a new adaptation in THIS era feels weird and at the same time it was so funny and colorful and Idk, really, give it a try, it won't disappoint you 🥺❤️ you can find it on Netflix, Disney+ or Raiplay for my Italian fellas

P.s. there are some "cringe" moment here and there, that feel straight out of a romance book of some sort 😂😂 but trust me, they're really minor moments and in general they feel okay with the tone of the series

Sandokan : The Pirate Prince (2025) was DELIGHTFUL. I highly recommend. I feel like its been so long since I've seen a show that effectively used visual storytelling, creative cinematography, and visual symbolism in a compelling way. I'm so totally enamored with Sandokan himself, Can Yaman is so freakin gorgeous in the roll and the character is an absolute sweetie while maintaining the roguish attitude. He actually reminded me of that comedy song about a "half-good half-bad half boy" XD. He's like almost not even morally grey at all, which like hey, fine by me!! I like my men actually good guys. Give me my pirates of the Will Turner variety.

The plot is also nice, not just Sandokan's wardobe (Omg wait guys the WARDROBE).

Please do yourself a favor and watch it if you remotely like pirates.
