I thought nothing would leave me more devastated than S2 finale. Well-

SPOILERS!!!

I’ve been swinging back and forth between “well, i liked it and the ending was kinda cute”, “i’m really upset and probably about to set something on fire” and somewhere in the middle ever since i watched it and i’m afraid i’m still there.

I know many people hated the theory of Aziraphale and Crowley becoming humans but i was never really against it, i mean when i used to think about it, i thought there might be better endings for them but that one seemed fitting. That’s why I believe that the ending made sense for the characters and the story, but still i’m upset about it being an “and it was all a dream” kind of ending. Like, why go on and tell us the centuries long story of these two characters and make us love them just for taking it all away in the end? I get it’s not exactly as if it had never happened, regardless, it kind of felt like it because if it’s a whole different universe and no one remembers what was even the point? I wouldn’t have minded if they had become humans in a world where angels and demons didn’t exist anymore but they were still “them”, so they could’ve had the happy ending together they deserved.

Nevertheless I’m happy we got a finale. Sure, some parts were a bit rushed, it could have been better but at least it is something cause there was a time it definitely looked it wasn’t happening at all. And i really loved some scenes (the crossword moment and Aziraphale and Muriel going to hell were peak).

I’m a rather new Good Omens fan (i’ve been a fan for more than 2 years now but i know some people have been here since 2019 or even 1990), however, this show has been a huge part of my life for the past few years. So well yeah i’m still processing it and i’m probably gonna be for a looong time but it is what it is. In the meantime, have some fanart i made to cope 🥲
