folks:

if you’re reading this my queue is dead, which means i obviously have no capacity to reblog new content, and this blog is turning into a functionless void, useless aside from chronicling my adolescence/development into a young adult. for a long time i thought my life would be incomplete without a blog like this, but again, i’ve turned around and my queued posts have all but disappeared, so obviously the time i used to want to allot to reposting content has left my life.  i think it’s time to let it rest.

i would like to thank you for joining me on this wild journey which began with me reblogging tumblr LGBTQ content and cats, and ends with visuals that belong on the side of a van from 1978. in that time i came out to my parents as bisexual, navigated high school and college, and reblogged a LOT of pop culture bullshit and the occasional tumblr gold. i’ve met folks who have changed my life and in some ways become a more educated person, and i think the greatest thing i learned was to not discount individual’s perspectives when it comes to conflicts. i’ve seen some great art and fostered my interests and overall consider myself lucky to have had a void to shout into throughout some really fragile years , from which other struggling people would always resurface to say, hello, you’re not alone. cannot emphasize the importance of that enough.

Whoever writes People magazine captions deserves a Pulitzer. Solid prose. I spot four hyphenated words and three adverbs (loathsome things in grammar) and somehow I just believe in this sentence entirely. Mostly because I have a sense that the person writing this really believes it too. And that’s what’s getting me out of bed every day—that someone else believes in what they do as much as I do. I have a job, you have a job, we all have a job. Do your job well. That’s why we get out of bed. We gotta pay the bills. If you’re not feeling up to it, my advice: take two Aleve® and keep it moving (in your low-key bomber). Fake it ‘til you make it.
