It's like they have some sort of radar the moment you've begun to move on, right? I've polled so many women while writing this last book and it's some crazy sort of phenomenon that occurs the moment we begin to move on and inch toward happiness. Why is this? Why do they come waltzing in the moment we learn to dance alone or with another partner? ⠀ What can you do? 1.) STOP LOOKING FOR SIGNS. By this I mean stop overanalyzing their words, texts, and timing so that it fits the mold or equation of which you told yourself you would take them back. 2.) IGNORE IT. IGNORE THEM. You moved on. There was a reason you once took steps back and began to walk away. Has that reason you parted ways gone away? Probably not. If it has...3.) LET TIME GO BY. Relationship experts say it takes at a minimum a YEAR to see if someone has truly changed. 'After a year, time becomes the best indicator of continued change' (PsychCentral) and while you're waiting...LIVE WHOLLY and COMPLETELY. Live your life in the meantime. Stop typing their name in the search bar and for the love of God, stop watching their Instastory. Life waits for no one. ⠀ ⠀ #quoteoftheday #30tb30 #author #authorsofinstagram #book #bookquotes #hopealcocer #qotd #advice #inspiration #wisdom
