                 Well, umm… This was WEIRD. In fact, this was weirder than weird… Like what the heck is going on? What kind of crazy world he popped into this time? 

        There was this guy… A hedgehog who looked like him, sounded like him… But yet they were different. The other had a different sense of style - a lil’ too goofy for his tastes - & his arms are BLUE (including the fact that he was much taller, which aggravated Sonic to the brim… Like dang! Can’t he be the tall one for once?).

            “I’ll have ya know… Any plan like that will jus’ blow up in his face,” he commented, a smirk of his own forming on his face & placing a hand on his hip. “Soooo whaddya supposed to be? A twin? A guy in a costume? In that case, it’s waaaay too early for Halloween.” Yeah, he knew the other was a real & not some guy in a costume, but he couldn’t help but toy with him.

"   Oh   I KNOW-----   and that's exactly why I thought Eggbreath would pull it.   "   Came humorous reassurance to his previous statement,   Sonic honestly had   LITTLE TO NO FAITH   that that 'Doctor' could come up with any scheme that wasn't   HALF---BAKED.

"   Wha-----   TWIN   ?!   Hey-----   I'm nobodies twin  !!   "   Comedic tones now completely fissured by the others teasing and was now entirely replaced by a   QUICKLY STIRRED IRRITATION,   the hedgehog probably would've been able to catch the others teasing tone if he wasn't so fast to react.   WITH A SLIGHT HUFF   gloved hands placed themselves firmly at slim hips,   tapping a foot against the grass as he settled slowly. 

"   Besides,   if anyone's the fake around here   IT'S GOTTA BE YOU-----   I mean,   you're tiny   !!   "   Sonic was grinning again now-----  raising a furry brow and wagging index finger to and fro in an 'ah---ah---ah' styled manner.   "   Bet'cha can't even  RUN AS FAST,   your legs are so stubby.   "

Fast feet had to be accompanied by even faster eyes and a keen sense of hearing,   THE ABILITY TO BE ABLE TO PINPOINT   any incoming obstacles before something bad happened,   and as emerald hues caught the   BLURRED AND GROWING VISION   of a being the hedgehogs pace immediately changed,   worn heels of his sneakers skidding against the ground and digging in to stop his forward momentum,   stopping just shy of a collision.

"   WHOA-----   you look like your not from around here.   YOU LOST or somethin'   ??   "

———— ANOTHER ‘crack’ at his armor was well anticipated- a “TYPICAL”  scientist wasn’t known to wear a MACHINE atop their frame, but such observations he’d grown indifferent too. n. tropy had endured EVERYTHING he could think of: nothing but a furrow of his brows & a scowl was RETURNED, as was expected.

THIS USUALLY WASN'T HIS JOB   -----   Sonic was well aware of that by constant mentions of a moustachioed man who was sure to already be well on the case,   but he happened to be   PASSING THROUGH   and had heard rumours on the wind of a   CAPTURED PRINCESS,   and the hedgehogs heroic and justice   -----   loving heart couldn't just run away from such a golden opportunity to   HELP SOMEONE IN NEED   -----   So that was how he had ended up here,   spin dashing a couple guards off their feet and rushing into the previously protected cells with keys in hand,   twirling with ease around a gloved finger.

"   PRINCESS   -----   !!   "   With a sure grin and a wink Sonic was fast to unlock the door and step aside,   giving a slight bow.   "   Hope ya weren't waiting too long,   YOUR ESCORT AWAITS.   "

For a moment there Sonic thought he was peering into some kind of miror,   A VISION OF THE PAST   maybe   ??   They looked   ENTIRELY IDENTICAL   -----   except for the parts that,   you know,   didn't.   The other was smaller,   in height at least,   and there were slight differences with their fur but,   other than that.....

"   Whoa,   OKAY,   THIS IS WEIRD.   "   The hero deadpanned before crossing his arms and giving a playful smirk,   glancing over at the other him.   "   Did Eggface try and mess around with some kind of   CLONING DEVICE   or something this time   ??   "

  His interest excited the pink hedgehog, before she realized that the other had no idea what she was presenting. In her hands was a container, holding her recent creation— healthy snacks, ones that wouldn’t suit a blue speedster in the slightest. Still, she couldn’t help but be proud of what she put together. Even if she’d be the only one enjoying it.

  “If I told you, you wouldn’t try it” she offered it to her blue friend, in hopes he’d try it. Collared greens surrounded every other color of the rainbow. Vegetables were in her diet, not so much his. 

NARROWING HIS EYES INSPECTINGLY   at the strange mix of,   what Sonic could only assume to be,   leaves Amy had found lying around the place and a bunch of weird exotic foods she surely must've gotten out of town.   Whatever it was supposed to be,   it looked   DANGEROUS,   like it could   KILL YOU   with just one bite.

"   Hmmm.....   "   Sonic raised his gaze back up to the pink hedgehog's face,   he could easily tell this was a trap,   some kind of   CHALLENGE   to get him to do something-----   Too bad the hero's   PRIDE AND EGO   were both far too high for him to even   CONSIDER   the possibility of refusing.   "   THAT'S NOT TRUE-----   I so would   !!   C'mon,   tell me   !!   "
