There’s someone in France who made a BD that is literally Ben, Thatch, and Edward, and they gave them different names lol. Ben was even referenced, get a load of this

And rather curiously, Ben never showed up in the comic, when they even had a small montage with Teach’s death and Bart shows up briefly. Really makes you wonder (when there’s a guy walking a round with Ben’s style in the comic). My advice to these writers: Just make a comic about the actual pirates and mess with history a bit. Would have been much more entertaining and actually given them freedom to make even larger than life characters.

“Now there’s a friendly face!” Ben dropped the quadrant to his side and swept across the deck to Abby, smiling warmly to her. “You find anything you wan’ in the loot?” He gave her a wink on the sly. There was plenty of that, from the string of local, Spanish, and French vessels boarded across the Caribbean.

“Perhaps you don't qualify for a full an proper share yet, but as captain of this vessel, I think I can make an allowance for a special passenger...you gonna show me what?”

“Well well, haven’t seen you around these parts before. Welcome to Nassau.” He rested his tankard down and seemed comfortable speaking to the new arrival at the tavern.

“A word of warning - things get a bit rough by dusk ‘round here, but you’ve got some hours ‘til then. So what’s your poison?” Ben nodded to the bar. “First drink’s on me.”

The crew of the Benjamin were still transferring cargo off of the merchant vessel, and it was already past noon. His captain calmly observed the exchange aboard the boarded (and surrendered) vessel, while smoking a pipe. The majority of the merchant vessel’s crew and passengers were locked below for their own safety, allowing for a smooth transfer of goods, but the redhead was another story.

At last, the captain of the pirate vessel took a break from his pipe and turned to the lass.

“After some consideration, I’ve decided not to take you to Nassau or thereabouts. Not safe for yeh, and there’s ship’s articles to uphold. When we depart from here, your captain’ll continue on to Kingston.” He slowly pushed off from the taffrail and approached her in no great hurry.

“But since you’re up here, if you’d be so kind, it’s time to hand over any pieces of jewelry or baubles you’ve got.” Captain Hornigold held out his hand to Caroline and gave her a rogue’s smile.

Updated rules a bit, but not much. I’ve changed my mind on other media. Might make a few other changes, not that I think this matters at all:

I do not write/play versions of Ben from Black S.ails, Net.flix’s The Lo.st Pirate King.dom, and O.ur F/.ags M.ean De.ath. I can bring you my version of him to play with your pirates from those ‘verses’, but I will not be writing the ones established there. My Ben is interpreted in his late 30s, not an older man like in those media.
