The Real Monsters are reborn!

Upon getting so much attention for my previous designs, I wanted to redesign the monsters and develop the concept a little more. You’ll notice most of the monsters have subtle alterations and the descriptions have been changed to better reflect my original concepts.

Over the coming weeks I will release more (never seen before) monsters and will also release concept sketches and developmental work for each monster shown here- So stay tuned! (They may also be little animations…)

Disclaimer: The artwork is not at all intended to make light of these conditions but instead is intended to give these intangible mental illnesses some substance and make them appear more beatable as physical entities.

Doctor Dawson? There's a young mouse wandering about in 221 1/2b. He keeps saying his name is Basil, but... He can't be, can he?

"Yes?" He asked, looking startled before his brows furrowed, "I'm sorry, I've been away for the weekend... You say he's calling himself Basil. Oh dear, I leave for a weekend and already Basil has gotten himself into something." He murmured, toying with his mustache before he nodded. "Yes, thank you, dear Anon. I'll shall look into this immediately."

Dawson stared at the figure, eyes narrowing ever so slightly before he shook his head. "I believe, dear Anon, it's time you see yourself out. I don't take well to people such as yourself." He stated sharply, "Now see your way out."

Dawson raised a brow in mild surprise, a smile once again tugging at the corners of his lips. “Has it? I’m rather impressed you’ve not changed it to some room for your experiments.” He stated, shaking his head slowly. He cleared his throat again before he looked to Basil, “I was hoping so. To return. Again. If you shall have me.” He finally murmured, looking flustered.

"Well," he chuckled lightly, “Mrs Judson wouldn’t stand for more of the place being filled with equipment…" He smiled with a softer expression than usual, nodding. “Of course, my dear fellow. You’re always welcome here on Baker Street."

"Wonderful. I found I've quiet missed the comfort of Baker Street and it's companions. Loneliness is an ill feeling I will be pleased to say goodbye to." He stated softly, his attention fading from the present before he gave a sharp shake of his head and looked to Basil. "Forgive me, I found myself lost for a moment. Dreadful business." He murmured before he was quick to give Basil a smile. "Beside for your cases, how are you?"

“Yes. I do remember those times.” Dawson responded, nostalgia filtering into his tone before he gave a slight tilt of his head and small warm smile. “Don’t fret so much, dear Basil. As always, another case will come and occupy your time.” He stated, giving his old friend a mild look before he caught what he was doing and cleared his throat, shifting awkwardly in the chair.

“Yes, yes, of course.” He replied a bit absently, shifting from foot to foot. “And you… you’re returning here to Baker Street, then? Your room has been kept much the same…” He cleared his throat and folded his paws behind his back, trying to keep the nostalgic hope from his voice with only partial success.
