hey. they have not revealed jack shit yet. they were most likely just using the g4 song because its the most recognizable fucking version of the theme song and they just wanted to get peoples attention to say there will be pony news. do you really think they would reboot a show and reuse the exact same fucking theme song with no changes. You can have your hopes, fears and opinions about g6 but god its very annoying seeing people judging when NOTHING has been revealed yet. we dont know anything stop pretending like we do okay

I love my fakies. Some are more recent than others, like the articulated G4 fakes, but a few of the ponies in this video are actually the first ponies I ever got! The tall yellow, big purple, and tiny pink ponies were a christmas gift to me when I was 2 1/2, and kickstarted this WHOOOOLE pony thing for me! So we gotta give some credit to the My Little Phonies out there that still gave children an entry into this magical equine world.

As soon as I heard this audio I thought of them. I feel like this could be a canon conversation between Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash in an epsiode of Friendship is Magic. Okay, maybe not, since they PROBABLY wouldn’t talk about losing a body part… but then again, in Feeling Pinkie Keen, Pinkie proposes the idea that Fluttershy exploded. So, honestly, she probably WOULD say this, just not in front of the TV-Y camera.

🌙 Princess of the Night 🌌

There is no pony as dark and regal as the magnificent Princess Luna. A dreamwalking alicorn with the power to move celestial bodies, a troubled past, and a heart full of guilt and resolve to do better, she is mystifying and enchanting all the same. She feels more real than a cartoon character, like you might meet her dreamwalking in your own dreamscape. The lessons she brings to us are very tangibly real, and perhaps this is part of why she feels so real herself.

I love forboding, brooding ponies, as they take this cute, safe medium and use it to explore life’s harder emotions, while maintaining the pony design philosophy. I would like to see all manners of ponies designed around the trials and tribulations various people go through, personified. One reason I love My Little Pony is the morals— having a lesson given to you is a gift, so that you are more armed to combat mistakes and problems than you may otherwise find yourself. Sometimes we can only learn through experience, but it helps having fables in our heads to guide our moral compasses.

What should this pony’s name be? I imagine the other ponies view her as rather morbid.

I considered trying to repaint the eyes but the socket is sculpted, so to look right they’d need to be equally tiny and I didn’t wanna do all that. Maybe I’ll change the eye color though 🤔

I wish I could have recorded the rooting process! But unfortunately that’s a two-handed job and I only got my phone holder yesterday, so most of this video is recorded by hand like all my previous videos. If I do more reroots though, I should be able to include rooting footage next time :) I only have a few hair colors to choose from for now though, so I’ve gotta work with what I’ve got.

My art may have changed a lot in the past 14 years, but the subject matter has certainly stayed consistent!

When I was just six or seven, I decided it was part of my life’s dream to work officially on My Little Pony. At the time, I wanted to animate for G3– but my mom realistically informed me that G3 wasn’t likely to continue into my adulthood. I still wish Hasbro would go back to it, the same way it goes back to G4 and G1 for nostalgia merch. Plus, imagine if we got remasters or continuations of G3’s stories! That world still feels so full of fun to share.

These days, I’m not thrilled with how Hasbro’s been moving. We’ve seen them dip their toe into AI usage for packaging, and I haven’t heard good reports from their employees, current and former. They also seem to just kinda be tossing the MLP IP around without much of a plan, or at least that’s what it looks like. I have hopes for this upcoming SDCC panel with Lauren Faust— even if they stick with G4, which isn’t what I want, if Lauren has anything to do with it we’re in much better hands. Hasbro’s best decision was putting the showrunning in the hands of a woman who grew up giving her ponies adventures. The best thing they could possibly do for the brand going forward is try that again. Even if I’m less antsy to get a job at Hasbro given their poor management, I still love My Little Pony and it’s still my dream to be an official part of the team someday.

Rainbow Dash THINKS she’s being subtle.

Ok but honestly I love fangirl Rainbow Dash. Sonic Rainboom is one of my top favorite MLP episodes ever, in part due to Rainbow’s adorable squealing over the Wonderbolts combined with her over-arrogance turned stage fright. I just can’t help but feel that S1 RD is a great representation of a young person who believes a show of confidence will get them where they want to be, only to find themself in over their head. I’ve definitely been in that situation when I was younger, and I love to see a pony going through a Relatable Situation.

I kind of wish Rainbow Dash spent more time as a fangirl and less time as a trainee/wonderbolt. I still want her to get into the academt, I still want her to achieve her goals, but I feel like it happened too early in the show. A common critique of G4 is that all the mane six’s arcs seem to complete long before the show itself ends, lending to a feeling of aimlessness. I think Rainbow’s induction into the Wonderbolts would have held more weight if they had gone about it differently. Plus, I mean… her first episode as a Wonderbolt is pretty painful. Poor pacing, jokes that don’t hit, and lots if intentional cringe-humor which… is not very widely palatable, at least not to the kind of audiences that watch MLP. I get that they were trying to show that just because you achieve your goals, doesn’t mean you won’t still have problems, but it just has the same problem of lots of mid-late show does in that it’s just not fun to watch. Compare that to Sonic Rainboom, where both Rainbow and Rarity are making poor, even cringeworthy decisions, but the pacing and cause-&-effects from it are all so gratifying in response. Yeah Rarity looks awful in her gaudy outfit, and she’s acting selfishly, but it feels good then to watch her pull an Icarus and plummet to the ground. But then of course since we don’t want to watch Rarity actually get hurt, it was extra satisfying to watch Rainbow Dash overcome her fears and go straight into superhero mode to save her friend, also winning her the Best Young Fliers competition. I think Lauren Faust and her season 1 team really GOT what made Rainbow Dash and her flaws so interesting. I view the progresion of FiM’s writing sort of as an unfortunate game of telephone as the years wear on.

But do you think differently? Perhaps you love the late-show episodes and see them in a different light than I do. I’d love to hear differing thoughts!

Important conversations at Sugarcube Corner

All the ponies love Pinkie, but she’s definitely got some qualities that the other ponies can’t quite relate to. They don’t MEAN to disparage her interests, of course, they just don’t realize while they’re saying it that it’s something she cares about.

I can imagine after this conversation, Pinkie Pie would be determined to give their friends a good clown time— probably by BEING the clown herself! You can’t get scared if you know it’s just Pinkie, right? I bet she’d put on five or six different clown routines, for each of the mane six and Spike, each with a unique makeup look and silly gags specifically catered to the humor of the pony she’s performing for. By the end of it, she’d surely get her friends to admit the entertainment value of clowning!

We’ve all either GOT that one friend who will write our messages for us with no filter, or we ARE that friend.

I’m glad there are no cell phones in G4 Equestria. We see how it plays out in Pony Life and in G5, and it’s just not entertaining, it feels immediately dated, very “how do you do fellow kids?” and overall poor messaging to give children. I never want to see a canon internet influencer pony again— at least not a MAIN character, good grief!! Because what we need MORE of these days is to encourage kids to go public online 🙄 honestly I’m extremely disappointed Hasbro didn’t take Pipp’s opportunity to be a ROLE MODEL, and to actually teach children about internet SAFETY. Instead it encourages children to become parasocially obsessed with internet personalities via the Pippsqueaks… just really horroble decisions overall for that. But hey at least I have a tiny MLP smartphone now! I may hate it in canon, but boy it’s fun for play. So I’ll take it.

It’s stated that Pinkie Pie from Friendship is Magic has the power to break the fourth wall; she’s aware of the fans, and aware of previous generations’ existence.

We know Pinkie doesn’t always feel like she’s taken seriously by her friends, and for good reason— she often isn’t. G3 Pinkie Pie, however, never had to deal with this worry. All the ponies in her version of Ponyville are about as frivolous with parties as her— and that’s just the way she likes it! So one could reason that, G4 Pinkie, the one who keeps written records on everypony she knows just to throw them perfectly-tailored parties, finds herself missing the camraderie of G3 Ponyville. I’m sure G4 Pinkie wouldn’t trade her life for anything, but everyone has the right to wonder. Wouldn’t it be nice for Pinkie to feel less othered by her pony peers?

This isn’t filmed as smoothly as I’d like but eh consider it proof of concept 😅 I’d rather make it shaky than not at all!
