I never planned to post this publicly. In fact, I had completed this piece back in Spring of 2024 as an independent study capstone for my undergraduate degree. I was just scared of posting it back in the day due to the sensitive issues that inspired this piece. So what was happening- well in short I was stuck dealing with an inappropriate dynamic with a mentor figure. It was awful and confusing and even years later, I still wonder if it was my fault. I have zero desire to talk about it or relieve it. But that inspired this video- I was thinking about how the dynamic of Lionblaze and Ashfur is so slept on canonically. There's so much to having an abusive mentor that you look up to only for them to hate you for something that has nothing to do with you. There's so much confusion and guilt. There's self blame. If you relate to any of this then I'm deeply sorry. This isn't a ship video. This is a vent piece about being attracted to an abuser. I will probably remake this someday because there's a lot that I have outgrown between this video and now. Anyways thanks for reading ig.
