Why Sakae calls Haruka by his first name (Thoughts) [Spoilers for chapter 207]
[From chapter 205]
Okay so when chapter 205 dropped, I assumed (in this post) that this scene was foreshadowing something related to Sakura's name. And in context, it's obvious that on Sakae's part, he simply wanted Haruka to feel seen. This was a way to show he wanted to get over their differences.
[From chapter 207]
But after chapter 207, I wondered why Sakae would keep on addressing Sakura by his first name. Saying it in class was surely to show their blooming friendship to their classmates, but I still felt like I was missing something, and it's when I re-read chapter 200 that it clicked.
[From chapter 200]
It meant so much to him that she called him Sakae, and obviously it was because it meant she remembered him for a second, but he also probably hadn't been called Sakae in a really long while..
Haruka told him he lost his mother, that his father abandoned him, and that he lives alone... did Sakura ever have someone that loved him enough to call him 'Haruka' in the first place? 😭😭😭
