welcome to the blog! <3 i'm a 24 year old jewish socialist of polish descent living in scotland.
i made this blog as a companion to my irl journey of reconnecting to judaism and jewish culture. my goal is to continue the reading and learning i've been doing over the past few years, and this blog is a nice way to discover new ideas and keep track of my own readings/findings. i especially want to engage with diaspora thinking, history, and culture, as well as reform/progressive jewish religious ideas. i also want this to be a nice space for fellow diasporist jews to connect!
as a postgraduate, i worked on anti-colonial solidarity in eastern europe, and a lot of this organically involved quite a lot of jewish history and thought. however, i am not a historian, i'm a politics/sociology scholar - i make mistakes, and i greatly appreciate added context or corrections made in good faith. in general, please feel free to message me about anything, i love talking to people! that being said, i don't reply to provocative or hate asks, they go straight in the bin.
much of this blog runs on queue - if i don't reply to your messages but keep posting, that's why! i also have adhd and forget to reply sometimes.
