@hospital00000
âjust torrent it! just pirate it! streaming sites exist!â (proceeds to give absolutely zero clear instructions on how to do any of these things)
hokay well first you need adblock and antivirus, obvs.
I canât give you much advice on streaming. if you want to stream, you can probably just google it and dig around a bit till you find a site. I donât know a lot of good streaming sites because itâs a hassle and I donât like doing it, but thereâs less risk of viruses or your isp getting pissy. So if you donât mind extra legwork for less risk, streaming is fine.
Now, if you want to torrent, thereâs some initial set up but after that getting what youâre after is a lot easier.
Step 1: first you need a torrenting program.
thereâs a lot of options but right now I use Tixati. Go ahead and get that installed. This is what allows you to download torrents.
Step 2: Now you probably want a VPN. This helps prevent the previously mentioned âisp gettin pissyâ problem. some torrents will have trackers that tattle on you to Comcast or whoever provides your internet. A VPN disguises your ip address to make it harder for them to figure out where you are. In my experience, if youâre just torrenting the occasional game or movie and not like, guzzling terrabytes of just-released content, the worst that will happen is your isp will shut your internet off till you call them and apologize and make some excuse about your neighborâs kids using the wifi. they canât actually do shit besides that. But if you want to avoid the hassle, use a VPN and torrent smart. Only get torrents from trusted sources, avoid brand new or leaked content which is more likely to be being watched, and donât leave the actual torrent file (not the downloaded content but the torrent itself) sitting on your computer longer than necessary.Â
For VPNs, thereâs a lot of options. Tunnelbear is generally well respected service. But itâs not free, and I donât think something that heavy duty is really necessary for casual torrenting. If youâre messin around in the dark web and shit or torrenting on a daily basis, maybe. But for casual use, I get by with the free VPn built into the Opera web browser. Important note- Opera is basically the lite version of Chrome, itâs owned by google. Companies can buy their way through its security. Itâs not perfect. But like I said, if youâre being smart and only torrenting occasionally, itâs a decent free option.
Step 3: Now that youâve got your torrent program installed and your VPN running, itâs time to pick a torrent site!
The Pirate Bay is the oldest and best option when it comes to torrenting sites, imo. In particular because 1. you can sort results by number of seeders (the more seeds, the faster it downloads) 2.they make it easy to identify trusted sources. Look for the pink skull next to the link. These torrents will generally be safer than any others.
Unfortunately, pbay is also the most well known pirate site, so it goes down pretty often. if you donât feel like waiting for it to come back up, you can check out other sites like Kickass Torrents or  EZTV. If you find one or all of those is always âdownâ it may be that your isp is blocking your access to the site. Google a proxy, most of these sites have several, and use a vpn.
So, first lets search for gomens on pb.
Bam. There you go. Pick the third one down. The others have more seeds, but the pink skull means this one is safer.
click the green âget this torrentâ magnet link, and itâll ask if it can open Tixati. Let it do its thing. Tixati will take a minute to download the basic info about the file, then ask your permission to start.
you can see the files included in the torrent there, and where they will be saved. If it all looks good, hit start and wait. Depending on your internet speed, it may take a while. When itâs done, hit stop and remove to get rid of the torrent file and go enjoy your content. And thatâs it! Youâre done! Itâs much less complicated than it seems.
Have fun, torrent responsibly, support unions and Fuck Amazon.
Iâm an avid pirate myself and I use rarbg.to, thereâs a lot of rumors that pirate bay is a honeypot so Iâm a lot wary of it and really do not use it without a VPN get a VPN!!!!!
yall look at this shit ad*be is tryna pull now on ppl who have outdated software:
(note for context: iâm all for piracy, but in this case my copy of CS6 was downloaded years ago when they were giving it away to students. i got it totally legally.)
so here is what NOT to do if youâre a loyal fan of adobe who has the cash to shell out for a newer and shittier version of the product you already paid for.
1) DONâT use your search bar to find and open the Run app
2) DONâT type in services.msc
3) DONâT find Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Services and right-click to get a dropdown menu, and donât select âpropertiesâ
4) if you happen to click properties, DONâT use the startup type dropdown to locate the option to disable the program. be sure you DONâT click apply to finalize that change.Â
5) DO NOT do the same thing in order to also disable Adobe Genuine Software MonitorÂ
if you do all of these things, this WILL disable adobeâs ability to monitor the software, and you will be forced to continue using the same older software that you already paid for instead of having to sign up for a newer, shittier version and pay more for it. so if you have lots of cash to spare and are cool with putting it the pockets of racketeering capitalists, definitely donât do any of these things.Â
however, you SHOULD reblog this to spread the word, as we certainly want to make sure lots of people know what NOT to do :)

#should have done the blonde anime girl in the red plaid
you mean
yes that one exactly
wake me up inside
That first image is an edit of HUGZzz by Irene Strychalski. Sheâs improved tremendously in the past nine years, and you can see her current work on her tumblr, reniedraws! She has done backgrounds for Archer and Unsupervised, backgrounds and character designs for Chozen, and pencils and inks for issue #1 of Deadpool Family. Sheâs currently making a webcomic called Shaman Child. Hereâs some of her current art:
[girl with scarf] [deadpool] [wedding commission] [hair and water]
As for the anime girl in the plaid skirt, I braved the hellscape that is early â00s anime websites, exploring endless gif-covered Gaia pages and vampire-filled roleplay forums, traveling across seas of unsourced DeviantArt edits and low-res hentai, to discover that she is an original character by Hiro Suzuhira. She has done work for Shuffle!, Ef: A Tale of Melodies, Akikan!, Phantom Breaker, and We Without Wings, among many others, and she is also a prolific freelance illustrator. Here are some examples of her art:
[chronicle cover] [misa] [soul eater] [higurashi] [phantom breaker] [leo]

i did something similar to this a very long time ago but i wanted to do one on my own base instead of someone elseâs base code
it has no css in it so it looks kind of terrible in that âold webâ kind of way so this is for people who are into that kind of thing.Â
thatâs not to say you canât go in and add css on your own because you can definitely do that but please donât claim it as your own or anything
it feels like i missed something but i wanted to get this thing out so that i could start working on something more serious, lol. enjoy

i made this to fulfill my latent dream of a geocities tumblr theme, but one thatâs still functional and easy to read. another notable thing is the sidebar icon doesnât use anti-aliasing so you can use pixel art without it being fuzzy and squished! itâs not supported on every browser, though.
features:
700px posts
custom favicon/optional custom cursor
5 custom links
200px or 100px sidebar icon, crops to square & has no anti-aliasing so pixel art isnât fuzzy when resized

hey guys psa regarding hospital bills
donât just pay it. do not automatically pay the hospital bill when you receive it. call your health insurance provider and POLITELY say, âexcuse me, i just received a bill for $1200 for my hospital visit/ER visit/etc., is that the correct amount iâm supposed to pay?â because hospitals bill you before your health insurance and they will take your money no matter how the amount due may change based on your health insurance looking at it. 90% of the time, if your health insurance is in any way involved in the payment of that bill, you do not have to pay as much as the hospital is billing you for. call your health insurance provider first, and POLITELY request clarification, always remember that the person you are talking to is human and this is just their job, and then you will very likely find out you actually only owe $500.
donât shout at anyone about it, donât get mad, just understand that this is The Way Things Are right now and call your health insurance provider before paying the bill your hospital just sent you. thereâs a chance the hospital bill might be correct, true, but call your health insurance provider.
THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT. after my car accident last year the hospital billed me ~$8000. They sent me letters asking me to pay, and I called them back saying my insurance was processing the claim. This is also what I told the collection agency when they kept calling me about the $1000 emergency room fee (billed separately from the hospital fee, mind you). Once everything got straightened out, all I was actually liable for was my $200 emergency copay.
!!!!!!! things my ass didnât know !!!!!!!!
Yes this is a life lesson my adulting ass didnât know I needed and Iâm out 80 bucks for an anti-nausea pill. đđđđđ
Reblogging for American friends.
Also, it is important [for people receiving medical care in the USA] to carefully read all of the items on the medical bill and look for errors and overcharges. I know that the normal feelings of avoidance and dread can make it hard to look at scary hospital bills, and thatâs okay! But as the OP mentions, private orgs like hospitals donât monitor overpayment of bills - they are motivated to charge you extra - and it is basically impossible to get your money back. Read the bill carefully and make sure that the charges are correct, using the links below for help if you need. If they havenât sent you an itemized list, you can ask for one. Sometimes you will be charged extra for items or treatment you didnât receive. Most people donât know that you can dispute medical bills! But in 2009, Consumer Reports stated that 8 out of 10 medical bills scrutinized by a watchdog had errors, and generally you are not obligated to pay for someone elseâs error.
You may be charged for using medication that you actually brought into the hospital with you - thatâs easy to dispute! You may be charged for the consumables used during your stay such as sheets, gloves, gowns, etc - the hospital should actually cover that under its running budget. You may be charged for a brand name drug if the generic was available for cheaper - the links below explain how and when you can dispute this. You may be charged a surprisingly expensive âoral administration feeâ (where a nurse puts pills for you to take in a little clean paper cup and then hands it to you) but thatâs worth disputing if you were actually able to take the pill out of a bottle and put it in your own mouth. And so on.

@thesecondcomingofkobe
I got a $900 charge for an anesthesiologist with my first child. I had a natural birth with no epi. Why that charge was there was never explained, but basically he showed up as I was delivering & stood around so I guess he thought he could bill me for being in the same room.Â
OKAY NO BUT THAT LEGIT PROBABLY HAPPENED!!
When I was in a car accident and had two of my friends with me, they tried to bill each of us the FULL AMOUNT of the ambulance ride, as if we had taken three separate ones even though I was the only one on a stretcher with an IV start in me.
ALSO! My mother-in-law once gave birth in the car (it was like her 3rd or 5th kid she was a pro at it already) and despite her not needing it, the hospital still put her in the delivery room and recovery room before giving her a normal room. Keep in mind THE KID WAS ALREADY BORN when they arrived at the hospital. They literally only put her in those rooms so they could charge her for themâŠ
IMPORTANTE!!
