An Ithnan Blog
hostiaglacies:
Setta had seen enough of this new world to know it was different from the home he was familiar with. There seemed to only be sentient humans, and nothing like the other species that had dotted his home. But there was also no church, no towers, and nothing like the divine staffs from what he had gathered. That and the fact that he had no idea what pretty much anyone was saying here.
He slumps slightly at hearing what she has to say about their time here. Of course it had to have been rough, it was just as bad for him, wasn’t it? At least they had found each other, and he had eventually found them. He blinked when her tone changed and she mentioned fate, a look of confusion coming to his face. “I suppose?” he did not really understand the underlying tone there, but he could hear it. He shifted slightly and nodded once again. “That’s why I’m here, Arba, because you all are here.”
A plastic smile formed across her scarlet lips. “We are happy having you here, Setta. We can get through this together just like the old times, right?” She said, a slight hint of sarcasm in her voice. The genuine feelings of friendship had become alien feelings. She didn’t need any friends. It was a nuisance and a waste of time. She only needed loyal minions at her side. She only cared about their loyalty and if they had enough guts to fight for her causes. If not, useless beings they may be and death was the only option left for them.
“....Right.” it was hard to ignore the tone of her voice, the discreet sarcasm that laid there. Golden eyes inspect her for a moment before they look somewhere else, at the area around them, if only to chase away the lingering doubts and negative thoughts. Everything was fine, he had to just be over-reacting, right? The male took in a breath and held it for a moment before letting out a deep sigh. Even if he wasn’t just over analyzing the situation he still would stay, if only for the promise that he would see Ithnan again. That’s all that mattered to him right now, was that his brother was safe and here.
After some thought — looks like I’m doing this after all.
For the sake of the new year, and because it’s gotta happen eventually—please LIKE or REBLOG this post if you’re a Magi rp blog still truckin’ around in the fandom; regardless of whether you’re a canon character, or an oc!
They’ll all be added to an eventual masterlist that’ll be set up much later, so I’d appreciate it lots if you helped out~ ( or else this place will feel dead lmao )
{ As I finish drafts I have to say again that the day an Ithnan is made is the day me and Setta both die of happiness }
{ Holy fuck I just realized I never replied to shit on Setta }
{ I will in just a bit sorry @notre-sauveur and @joseiten }
hostiaglacies:
Setta got an odd feeling for but a moment, but it was easy for him to ignore it. He was probably bringing up topics the other did not want to think about, what with how obviously split apart their group was. He tried to imagine that, but thankfully he had not been awake here long enough to probably feel half the loneliness or pain the others felt. Especially his brother. He felt secondhand guilt just thinking about what he had to have done to Ithnan in the time he was gone. Sure, they had been apart before, but never without the certainty that the other would be greeting them soon enough, and he could not imagine his life without the other. How cruel. He felt cold at the thought, and was glad that that would not be an issue for much longer.
“I just, I’m trying to but I cannot imagine it, how all of this must have been for you all. I’m sorry.” as if this was somehow his fault. He was kind to a fault and he knew it. That fact only was confirmed in his mind by her plain out saying it, and a small smile came to his face. “I’m just glad to have found you all, it was just as bad for me as I’m assuming its been for you all, especially with all the changes that have been made to this world.” he listened to her explain thought and nodded, offering a slight smile yet again. “I’m sure it’s wonderful, even if I don’t quite understand it all yet.”
Arba had been quite adapted to the new world. Spending many generations preparing new host bodies and taking them over when the time was right, surviving and gathering as much strength as she could muster. She was not as powerful like back in Alma Torran, but she had collected enough followers to make her plan successful. Adding Setta to her organisation was only a new bonus.
She nodded with her head. “It was very rough. We were confused and lost especially with everyone else gone. We hoped…hoped we would find our friends again and that hope only skyrocketed more when I saw you, Setta.” She giggled a bit, but her voice suddenly went low and a bit dark, though the sweetness in her voice still overmastered them as not to give away any suspicious. “It must be faith guiding us, right?” She continued. “You’ll be alright, Setta. Give it time and you will feel more at home. Rely on us, your friends.”

hostiaglacies:
“A universal language? That’s weird.” okay maybe that was a bit cruel, but it was unfamiliar. It would be useful though, not having to learn other languages once you knew the other one. Though he was sure he would prefer the one he already knew to some new language.
“So there’s a place for magicians?” he frowned and shook his head, brushing the subject off. He did not want to make the other uncomfortable, or, anymore than he already did before. He was curious and a bit disturbed by that though, a place like that did not sound very good.
“That’s odd, I wonder what it is though. What do you think so far?” he was lost honestly, though considering it was no wonder he was.
“I think…it’s some sort of holy ground…”
Ugo himself had journeyed in these same woods with one of the villagers at some point in his travels, holding freshly picked flowers and old religious scriptures for the group of people making their way to the site. He had no idea what he was doing back then, other than doing as he was told, watching
Most of the Torran villagers were essential shamanists, and devoted their lives to nature, and their homeland. Whilst Ugo had only been there for a little, he was no stranger to how much they’d still yearned to return to their true home.
“I have found that they tend to leave behind certain things to make sure they are brought back to ‘Alma Torran’…even if it doesn’t exist anymore. Aside from animal sacrifices, there have been records of human sacrifices, as well. By dying in such an environment, they believe they will be reincarnated someday.”
“Holy ground...?”
Religion had always been an odd street for Setta since he had joined the resistance. He still believed Ilah, but at the same time it did not hold the sway over him it had as a child. He understood religion and still prayed, but he was not close to it anymore.
He felt an odd sense of ache at hearing why Ugo thought the villagers did what they did. He frowned for a moment before nodding slowly and shrugging his shoulders awkwardly.
“I suppose that is one way to look upon life.” human sacrifices just sounded wrong in general to him though, but he let that thought stay quiet. He did not want to say the wrong thing after all. This was their culture, not his, and he had learned by now to respect other’s culture.
hostiaglacies:
Setta honestly was hoping to hear about everyone, but his brother was, and always would be, the most important thing in his mind. He watched her curiously as she seemed to think about it, but he did not suspect anything, trusting to a fault of those who he called friends. He just hoped they were okay, that’s all he could expect right now, especially when he was confused and as lost as he was.
Instant relief showed on his face when she mentioned Ithnan, and he nodded slowly, the look fading when she mentioned not knowing about the others. “….That has to be hard on Falan, if we do not know where Wahid is.” he began, looking down. As much as they bickered those two were nigh inseparable, and he felt bad for it somehow.
“…and I cannot imagine how bad it is without Solomon around.” he finished, looking at her with what was best described as concern. He knew how close she was to their leader, and he hoped that she was faring well. Of course he expected them all to be able to handle themselves alone, they were not children who needed guidance- but everything was easier with comrades around, right? “I hope I can ease any worries Brother has had then, since I’m here now.” he added, trying to be positive.
“I’ll offer my help in any way I can though, with or without the others.” he felt the need to quickly add that it, smiling faintly yet again.
When Setta mentioned Solomon’s name, Arba felt something rising inside of her. Solomon was gone, but the whispers of his name still remained. Her grudge and hatred for him was still ever so strongly even after a thousand years. She wondered, however, how Setta would react to all of this when she told him her story. The betrayal and the fall of her home world. Would he be just as angry as she? Or would he not believe her and refusing it was Solomon’s fault and blame everything on her? The latter seemed more likely considering Setta’s personality, however she’d like to keep the truth far away from him because as long as he was convinced to believe nothing had changed, then there’d be no problems.
She narrowed her eyes. “Yes, the poor girl. She still has it very hard and every day she hopes to find him.” Lying was one of Arba’s specialties and just one few simple lies couldn’t be harmful, could they? She noticed the gaze he gave her when he started to talk about Solomon. She disliked the way he looked at her, so she tried to ignore it. She grasped his hands and gave him a small smile. “You’re as kind as ever, dearest Setta~ Knowing you’re alive helps us more than you think. Ithnan will be the most thrilled of us all, I’m sure.” A problem she was going to solve later. “This new world may seem a strange and unknown place, because it’s different from ours especially with most of our friends gone. However once you’re used to it, it doesn’t seem all too bad. So let’s look it at a positive way, shall we?”
Setta got an odd feeling for but a moment, but it was easy for him to ignore it. He was probably bringing up topics the other did not want to think about, what with how obviously split apart their group was. hostiaglacies:
“I’m just glad they are not gone.” it sounded oddly nice, that they were still here but not in the same way. He would not have been able to accept it if they were gone, if they were then what had they fought for all that time ago?
“I’m glad they have a purpose that suits them all.” though part of him wondered if that was what they spent all that time fighting for, but that did not matter now. “How is the rest of this world different then? There is more than one language?” he could manage multiple communication without knowing the language.
“A strange occurrence, like what?”
“Quite the opposite, actually. This world utilizes a universal language, so there isn’t a lot of diversity within that aspect. Toran is the only other language around, taught either to nobles of other nations, or spoken by the villagers themselves. Some have also learned Toran, but only a little. As for the nations themselves, I can recall a couple from memory—and then, some that I’ve heard of, like Magnoshutatt: a place where a good handful of the world’s magicians all live. …It brings back bad memories for myself, though.”
Ah, but this wasn’t about him. He should focus.
“During this time of year, I began to notice that the atmosphere here feels heavier than usual. Villagers have come and gone, as I’m studying, and leave sacrifices and gifts behind to a certain spot in these woods. I guessed before that it was a spirit, but…I think there’s more to it.”
“A universal language? That’s weird.” okay maybe that was a bit cruel, but it was unfamiliar. It would be useful though, not having to learn other languages once you knew the other one. Though he was sure he would prefer the one he already knew to some new language.

hostiaglacies:
Setta had never been big on things involving rapid movements or teleportation, but he trusted that nothing would go wrong here. Seems he was right, as they were suddenly within what seemed to be a larger forest area.
He looked around curiously, about to question when the explanation came. A small smile came to the male’s face and he nodded slowly. “Well, you were right, this is a very nice place.” he judged after a moment of silence. The concept that the people spoke a different language made him curious, but he did not want to think about multiple places in what was probably a completely foreign world yet.
“This makes me feel better about all of this.” he added, looking around still. At least not everything was gone, and that face was enough to ease his worries.
“Are there still other species here, or just humans?”
“…It’s…a bit complicated. Save for the Red Lions that lie in the Dark Continent, the only other species you will physically find are normal animals and insects—none like the ones from before.”
He had briefly explained what this entailed, noting that some stayed in the dungeons that emerged from the ground ever so often, and others surviving by other means ( some morphing into even the most common of creatures now ). Ugo couldn’t exactly get them all to coexist again, but he tried his best.
“Some offered to become spirits, and assist the new world purely through nature. Paimon’s people, for example, have become the winds that blow all around us—Focalor’s, becoming birds, guiding their kind during every migration. Dantalion’s became the stars, and group themselves together to become constellations. They’re still here, but…it’s hard to find them, sometimes.”
He could feel them, though. Always.
“The villagers live in complete isolation from the other countries…but in recent events, I have come here to study a strange occurrence that’s starting, now…”
“I’m just glad they are not gone.” it sounded oddly nice, that they were still here but not in the same way. He would not have been able to accept it if they were gone, if they were then what had they fought for all that time ago?
“I’m glad they have a purpose that suits them all.” though part of him wondered if that was what they spent all that time fighting for, but that did not matter now. “How is the rest of this world different then? “A strange occurrence, like what?”
hostiaglacies:
“…Right, show me then.” he corrected himself, chuckling nervously and offering another smile. At least he could do that, he was the master of that. He watched the other fumble around with his things with slight interest, his curiosity beating out the dark cloud that hung over the ice mage for now.
He put his hands back behind his back, wringing them together out of sight. He quietly wondered, as he had many times before, how the other knew where anything was in such a large clutter of things, but now was probably not the best time to be asking that.
He looked down at the object quietly before taking it and hesitating for a moment before putting it on.
“Alright…” he trusted this wouldn’t blow up in his face– literally. He was seriously hoping it wouldn’t literally blow up. Ugo had always been reliable before–
But then again it seemed like a lot had changed, what was to say this hadn’t too?
Oh, it wouldn’t blow up—the most that would’ve occurred is a slight burn or two, but Ugo had already fixed that long ago in his prototype…after the 4th time.
Regardless, he wore a copy of the same one, snapping his fingers as an envelope of rukh circled around his palm—light emerges from the center of the palace, raising both men up to the ceiling before their own skin seemed to dissipate in the air…
…And when it recollected again ( the spirits as old as time returning to their proper place ), they were in a much different area—surrounded by forests, woodlands, and heathens of creatures. Trees mounted the area in canopies of shade, bearing ripened fruit and mossy entrails. Far off from where he stood, Ugo could spot signs of other people; smiling, of course, once Setta arrived.
“These…are the Torran villages. Or, at least one of them. They were the humans that previously existed in Alma Torran, moved here in the new world to preserve their culture. People still speak Toran, rather than the universal language everyone else speaks…”
Setta had never been big on things involving rapid movements or teleportation, but he trusted that nothing would go wrong here. Seems he was right, as they were suddenly within what seemed to be a larger forest area.
He looked around curiously, about to question when the explanation came. "Are there still other species here, or just humans?”
I’M DYING SQUIRTLE
hostiaglacies:
Setta looked around their surroundings curiously, it was a nice place, but it was not his home, not their home. He had fought for that place and he felt weird being here, as though he was intruding on something he should not have been. Despite that she seemed comfortable here, so he forced that feeling down and kept the smile on his face, well-practiced enough to not seem as uncomfortable as he was. He shrugs hi shoulders and looks around one more time before focusing on her again.
“It doesn’t surprise me that you’d help make something so great, Arba. You’ve always been the kind of person to help create greatness.” he praised, humming softly. He stopped when she asked if he had questions though, and he asked the obvious one. “Are the other’s around here too? I have not been able to find any of you until now, s’not very cool.” or productive.
Arba pondered what to say to him. What would happen if he found about how much she and the others especially Ithnan had changed? She had no idea how even Ithnan would react if she told him Setta was alive. It was Setta’s death which led Ithnan to fall into depravity and join her side. She knew Ithnan still cared about Setta deep down despite he didn’t say a word about Setta for as long as she remembered.
She wanted to have Setta at her side because he was someone she considered a ‘comrade’. Though what kind of affect would this have on Ithnan? She didn’t want him to go back to his old self because he was one of her few most trusted and loyalest followers and that was something she didn’t want to lose, however Setta might bring the possibility of ruining this. She figured she would only tell Setta half-truths and half-lies for now and she would deal with the problems later, if they arose.
She giggled. “Why, thank you~” She was being very careful with her choice of words. One wrong slip might make him suspect her. “Ah, yes, a few of us are here. Fallen was the first one I found, and the second one is Ithnan. Oh~ I’m sure he’ll be very happy to see you~!” She smiled, however she kept her gaze downcast acting as if she felt sad. “Unfortunately the others are….still missing. I’ve been trying to find clues of them, but still nothing.”
Setta honestly was hoping to hear about everyone, but his brother was, and always would be, the most important thing in his mind. He watched her curiously as she seemed to think about it, but he did not suspect anything, trusting to a fault of those who he called friends. hostiaglacies:
Setta felt like he should have been more happy, but my mostly felt a large sense of relief. He had missed his friends a large amount since he had arrived in this new place, and finally finding someone was like a weight off his shoulders. He couldn’t stop the small smile from staying on his face, thank Illah she was okay if anything. He wanted to ask where the others were at, but that could wait. He was happy to just have one person back for now if anything.
“Not really, just a lot of wandering and confusion, completely uncool.” he knew this place was a lot different than what he was used to though. Seemed like she was well adapted at least, since she had somewhere to stay. “That sounds nice, lead the way Arba.” honestly he had no solid residence since waking up here. It was something be knew but something he still hated.
Clearly Setta had absolutely no idea what happened after his ‘death’. She assumed he’d probably thought they were all here being still friends and all. She despised the thought of it. The past not a subject she’d like to bring up, because she remembered how weak her former self was and the feeling of hatred for the arrogant’s king betrayal. She couldn’t forgive for what he had done even after so many years. Wherever Solomon was now, she hoped she would never see his face again and if she did, she would show how much she had missed him.
“I’m sure you don’t really no where you are, do you?” She walked besides him, her eyes glaring at him. “You’re in the Kou Empire.” She flashed one of her most charming smiles. “You can say I’m one the few who helped build this empire to whats its day.” She continued. “Is there anything else you like to ask me, Setta?”
I have not been able to find any of you until now, s’not very cool.” or productive.
hostiaglacies:
He almost wanted to say that he did not want to know about it.
That was a selfish thought, and as much as he wished it away it would not leave him. He did not want to learn about something else if it implied never speaking about what he knew already. The other had a passion for this though, and as much as he hated to admit he was very weak to getting swept up in other’s excitement and visions– wasn’t that why he was here in the first place, stuck in this sort of situation?
The look on the younger’s face obviously doesn’t mirror Ugo’s excitement, but he nods, probably as close to an agreement to learn as the other would get from the brooding magician.
It was like he didn’t understand, or maybe it was Setta who didn’t understand.
“…..If its changed so much, then tell me about it.” he said finally, finding words again. He was not sure he wanted to hear it, but it was best that he did. If everything had happened how the other had described it then he was right, there was no way it could be changed and dwelling on it was only going to hurt Setta more than it already did. So he did what he had always did when faced with things he did not approve of from people he cared about– he simply accepted it.
“You must’ve not heard a thing I said… I said I would show you, not tell!” Where was the fun in wordplay, when you could hardly keep up with the explanation about the spirits? Like any scientific experiment, observation was second to none for a full-blown adventure waiting to unfold…
And he knew just how.
Unlatching their hands, Ugo scrambled about the room to score along contents on a table drenched with research papers, and untouched sheet metal. There were a few rings left sitting nearby, and he picked up the few he’d figured would work well with his newfound study.
He knew he wouldn’t be able to completely convince the other, as his uncertainty still rang true throughout their time together—but Ugo would certainly try.
“H-Here, Setta—wear one of these: it’s a magic tool I’ve created that allows instant transportation to anywhere in the new world, directly from the palace. I’m going to take you to a place that may bear some familiarity to you…”
“...Right, show me then.” he corrected himself, chuckling nervously and offering another smile. At least he could do that, he was the master of that. He watched the other fumble around with his things with slight interest, his curiosity beating out the dark cloud that hung over the ice mage for now.

But then again it seemed like a lot had changed, what was to say this hadn’t too?
