Danny glanced at his phone, at first prepared to let it go to voice mail, when he saw the number that was calling, and hastily finished up the fight he was in, lashed out with a few precise moves and answered the phone, grinning when he realized his message had been received.
"Hm…I might be available,” he let out a small moan, almost a ‘purr’, as he heard Olivia’s voice go to its low, sultry tone, loving it when she did that, “Let me just check…” his eyes darting around the room, making sure that everyone had been taken care of, “I suppose I can stop by. Where are you?”
”On a rooftop, near the corner of 8th and Mason. If you’re quick we can try out some new tricks with the handcuff arrow.” It may have been a simple phone chat, but you could almost hear her winking at him. “Don’t leave me hanging, Pretty Bird.”
"8th and Mason. Got it," he nodded, about to head back to his bike but then stopping in front of a store window, straightening himself out, making sure his nets were straight, running his fingers through his hair, then heading to the bike then towards the street location, climbing up the fire escape to the rooftop, "Am I in time for the handcuff arrow or do I need to lower my standards for traffic laws even further?"
The question was answered by an arrow whistling past his ear, only to stick dead center into a heart carved into a telepone pole. A pair of handcuffs were released from a spring-loaded pouch upon impact, and dangled from the arrows shaft. From the roofs shadows, girlish laughter echoed.
