How to edit a video in windows movie maker; dogs edition.
During this tutorial, I need to clarify that all videos were taken from Youtube, and I, nor the Youtube owner, owns these videos. They are free to share and are not our own.
As usual, to begin with, you upload all the videos you need onto movie maker.
I then created a title by clicking title on the home page, then changed the volume of each video to the maximum by double-clicking them and pulling the toggle to the maximum.
For one video, however, I wanted no audio, so I dragged the toggle to the minimum/mute.
I then double clicked on each video and trimmed each video down to the length I desired; and often used the little up and down buttons by the time to be more accurate with my timing.
In comparison to the other video tutorial I have made, I decided to instead put music on this one to add a lighter funnier tone. To do this, I went to ‘add music’ and selected a song from my files.
Once I added the audio, I made it fade in at the beginning so the music didn’t start off too harshly and suddenly.
I then edited the colour and font of the text in the opening by double-clicking the font and going to the top right of the application and selecting the desired colour.
I then wanted the end video to fade out to black, so I clicked the video, then went to ‘animation’ and added the fade on the video.
To match the video fading out, I then wanted the audio to fade out with it, so I double-clicked the audio and clicked fade out to medium.
This is when I decided I had edited enough, and wanted to save the video. I then selected ‘files’ and went to ‘save movie’ and saved for a high-definition display.
This is the final development of the video I put together through this method. In my next post, I will show the result of this method put together.
