a few years ago i sat down with my grandfather and talked to him about his wife, my grandmother. my grandpa is now not nearly as coherent as he was when i talked to him back then (maybe four years ago), but was in the early stages fading and forgetfulness. i have written a few poems about him and my grandmother's relationship and this is by far my favorite.
