Isn't it common sense that trans men's statistics are heavily underreported? Because our data gets incorrectly bucketed with cis womens'?

How many trans men were forced into marriages, forced to be pregnant, forced to become mothers before they ever got to transition and establish themselves as men?

How many died due to lack of access to reproductive healthcare? How many were trafficked and/or resorted to sex work while being seen as "women"? How many were buried and memorialized as women against their explicit wishes, because that's how their transphobic family handled it?

my hot transphobia take is that frequently harmful things happens to trans people because they are percieved, by cis people (particularly cis women) or other trans people, as being male/masculine in some way, and that is used as justification for their poor treatment, explicitly or implicitly because the trans person in question's perceived maleness/masculinity means that they have something to make up or apologize for to cis women/trans people who are for whatever reason not tainted by maleness or masculinity.

this exact thing happens to trans men, trans women, nonbinary and genderqueer people of all assigned genders and socializations. i just think, perhaps, it may be to all of our collective benefit to question why this exact thing happens over and over and over again to trans people in queer/feminist spaces. why are we constantly fighting with each other over who is truly Tainted by Maleness and thus is not oppressed enough be a Pure Victim deserving of care. radical feminism will never save us !!!!!!!!

all language is inaccurate because in order for us to talk about the world we must simplify it. some language is more accurate than other language, and we should always strive to find/create ways to use language that describe the world better. but we must always maintain a sense of humility about our ability to truly understand and discuss the world. we can create infinitely closer approximations of reality but we will never reach it.

I hate seeing posts where someone is being condescending about misogyny while talking to "the TMEs" and use the phrase, "uwu valid," and suggest that gender is a "fun conceptual jaunt" to "the TMEs." I mean obviously cis people aren't the target audience for this.

Like, it sounds like this one thinks transmasculinized people are stupid babies who get to fuck around in the sandbox while everyone else is off at war. It's disconnected from reality and blatantly infantilizing. It's obvious transphobia, and it's exhaustingly familiar to anyone who's been treated like this consistently due to systemic transphobia.
