An Update

Seeing as neither Aevar’s or Cerridwyen’s blogs were very active due to a lull in their story development, the two blogs have been combined to create one joint blog. Both @flutiasong and @mp-guard have access to the blog and will occasionally update with new inspirational pictures and stories.

Due to the change, there will be some things appearing on this blog in order to maintain the presence of both of their stories.

Cries of pain had kept most everyone up that night. Lucas was the only one able to find sleep, though that had evaded him until about six in the morning.

Cerridwyen’s water broke shortly after dinner. The midwife had arrived about an hour later.

Cold cloths had been draped across Cerri’s forehead and chest. Tears had left her eyes red and puffy. She was sure that Aevar’s hand must be aching from her grip on it, just as tight now as it had been when the whole matter began. Yet he had voiced not a single complaint the whole time.

Despite the constant reassurance of the midwife, Cerri was terrified that this meant the worst for their daughter. It wasn’t supposed to take this long, was it? Did this mean the baby wasn’t viable? Was she stuck? Was there something more serious wrong? The fear raced through her mind, only helping make her more nauseous and worried of losing the child she had carried for so long now.

It was nearing hour eighteen when the midwife cried out in glee. “I see ‘er ‘ead!”

The baby girl had cried herself out by now, curled sleeping in her father’s strong arms. Despite all of her best efforts, Cerri was too weak to hold her for longer than a few moments at a time. She felt absolutely drained.

“My lady, there is just one last matter to take care of.” Quinn had been working on the girl’s birth certificate, carefully ensuring everything was to standard. “The matter of the girl’s name. I know you two had not officially decided on a name together…”

“Anwen.” The name came from her lips without second thought.

She could hear Aevar’s breath catch in his throat for a moment before he spoke. “My mother’s name…”

Cerri nodded. “Lady Anwen Cassandra Leighton. In memory of your mother, and my sister.” The idea had been forming in her mind for months now, though she hadn’t quite found the courage to discuss it with Aevar. She was worried he may call it silly and dismiss it. But now, looking at the child, she knew it was the right thing. All her doubt that he would dismiss it had vanished.

Her husband nodded, a smile forming on his lips as he looked down to their daughter. “Lady Anwen Cassandra Leighton,” he repeated, words barely more than a murmur.

Quinn chuckled gently. “A perfect name for the young lady.”

Rare Post - Apologies

I don’t post on here often, normally i just like scrolling up and down reading the things the people i follow post. Good way to kill time and read and see some cool stories, and interesting things. So a post for me, whether on this profile or any of my character profiles is rare. It is not that I don’t like posting, just Sometimes it takes a lot for me to work up the motivation to post, not that I am lazy…though i sort of am…more i tell myself I will….then i forget.

Any who, the reason for the post. I want to apologize to all the people that follow me on this profile, and my character Profiles for Blaire, Davmir, Aevar, etc etc. I haven’t been in World of Warcraft much lately for quite a few reasons. I am hitting a point in my life at the moment where I am SUPER busy with school and the military….which is me going to a school….so lots of school. Plus being in a leadership role i have those extra responsibilities for things I have to do during the month to get ready for the following month. Needless to say…the past three months have kept me busy. I have had to break a lot of commitments I made to friends and guild mates because of the hole i have dug myself and it kills me every day inside a bit because I hate going back on my word. I can bet i will get some messages from this saying its okay, but regardless I am making myself do this because inside I feel like I need to.

Secondly, this part kind of ties in with the first. Due to me being so busy, I have been extremely stressed out and for the foreseeable future…most likely the next three months at least…it probably won’t change. I normally pride myself on handling the stress I get. But lately…it has been getting to me. Numerous nights have had me breaking down, a couple of friends that read this can attest to this because I have probably worried them a few times. It is a feeling i hate, not because I am man and I am not allowed to show emotion or pain, or whatever the stereotype that fits that is…its more because I show emotion and my mind curses at me for showing emotion…which makes me break down even more…and then get more angry….rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, etc etc until i eventually exhaust myself so much that i am depleted of any energy and pass out. In addition to all that jazz….I just feel like my mental stability is suffering to the point where I have had no control of my own dreams at night sometimes. I have had dreams that have scared the living shit out of me and it worries me to death that they have underlying meanings. As someone in the military…Having these kind of thoughts, and these dreams…yeah its a no go. I am just hoping it is because of the stress.

I guess what I feel like I am trying to say is….I feel like I am loosing control of my life at this point. And i know the best suggestion I will get is to take a step back, take a deep breath, take some time to myself. But I will tell you… I want to….oh for the love of whatever higher power that exists I want to, but with everything that I am signed up for, the things I am trying to do, networking, volunteering, school, military…mainly school and military right now, I physically cannot.

I am really writing this post for two reasons. One I am trying to see if writing out my issues will help cope with them, I hope it does. Secondly I want to apologize to my friends for being a shitty friend and not being around much lately. I know everyone has their times that real life kicks in and i guess mine is kicking in right times ten. I want to apologize to those I have been worrying. To those that I may or may not, i don’t remember at this point, have offended or drawn ire from. I am just covering all bases at this point.

At the end of it all. I am sorry. I truly am. As an anti social person who is slowly trying to work his way into a social world, i value every friend i have whether i have met you in person or we have only been friends online, and i cannot risk loosing the few that i have so i am the kind of guy that tries to make amends even when I did nothing wrong.

That is all for this announcement, and a rare look into the current life of me. I will go back to my corner of the internet to lurk some more. If anyone wants to message me, feel free i won’t ignore…but I cannot guarantee immediate responses, mainly because my memory is shit.

Name of your muse: Aevar Leighton (Formally Stenwulf)

(Will be 100% Honest, my girlfriend picked this gentleman out and I liked it so this is what Aevar kind of looks like.)

Two headcanons you have for your muse that you never told anyone:

1.  Aevar is an only child born to the combination of a Ranger Commander (his father) of Alterac and his Mother who was a Lady of the courts from Stormwind. Aevar’s family were exiled from the alliance and lost everything because his father was part of the leadership of Lord Perenolde’s decision to let the Orcish Hordes run rampant. (Although his father was against it and had the right mind to warn the Alliance of what was happening, but his families safety was threatened unless his father did as he was told.)

2. While on the quest to restore his families name and prove his father innocence as a conspirator of Lord Perenolde’s group of betrayers, Aevar, while at the same time saved the village that surrounded his ancestral home, burned it down so it could no longer be used as a base of operations of the bandits in the area, most of which he killed in the process while leading an uprising. Essentially he saved his village and destroyed it, all in the matter of a few days. It was not for nothing though as he found the proof he needed and proved his familys innocence and was restored his noble title, but since the land he once called home was under Horde control, he was not able to receive his land holdings.

Three things that your muse likes doing in their free time:

1. Aevar was born to a military commander and as such learned how to fight with the Sword and Bow like no other. He often uses these skills now to teach his adopted son Lucas, but also as a way to keep his own skills in check.

2. Lately Aevar has been spending time preparing for the birth of his an his wife’s unborn child, a daughter no less. So he has been preparing the House to accommodate for the child and reading books on how to care for new born children.

3. When not training with Lucas, or reading about caring for a baby, Aevar likes to go out into the woods with his trusted wolf Odin and hunt. It gives him a release to be in his own element, as well as bring food to the table.

Two things your muse regrets:

1. One of Aevar’s biggest regret is not doing more to save his Mother. While he knew that her death was a result of his fathers own death and her heart was broken, but deep inside he felt he could have tried to do more to help her past the loss of his father.

2. (Don’t really have another Regret for him.)

Two phobias/fears your muse has:

1. Aevar has a fear of loosing his family. He already lost his parents and for a few years was alone, and on his own. Now that he has Cerri, Lucas, and a daughter on the way, his deepest fear is loosing them in any way shape or form.

2. Aevar is plagued with nightmares from time to time of his parents coming back as scourge. His father died at the Wrathgate, and while he knows the land was cleansed by Dragon Fire, the thought cant escape his mind that maybe just maybe his father was resurrected to serve among the Scourge.

Aevar would wake in the morning to find Cerridwyen not next to him in bed as she normally was, but instead curled up sleeping peacefully on the couch in front of the fire in the sitting room.

A small present was wrapped in blue paper, marked with his name on it. Should he open it, he would find a pair of small, hand-knit pink booties. A note would accompany them saying “happy feast of Winter’s Veil, daddy. I’m a girl!”

Aevar sat up in bed noticing the absence of his wife. He looked around but noticed through a crack in the door light coming from downstairs. He crawled out of bed to go check on Cerri. As he made his way downstairs he saw her passed out on the couch infront of the fire, what caught his eye was the wrapped blue gift, expecting such things to be under the tree he picked it up thinking it must have been a last minute gift for Lucas and was about to return it to the tree when he noticed his name on it. Ever curious, he couldn’t resist opening it. In contrast to the blue he noticed the pink booties puzzled a moment until he read the note attached.

His breath caught in his throat a moment causing him to sit down in the chair behind him. He covered his mouth as to not wake Cerri, staring at the booties for a few moments. He whispered to himself “A Girl....we are having a girl.” A single tear would trickle down his cheek before he whiped it way with the booties, not on purpose, but just out of habit. The he realised it and gasped. “Shit...we are having a girl...I have to repaint the room...and...oh god what about boys. Me and Lucas...what about us...There will be two of them in the house now. Will she be like me or her mother...either way...me and Lucas are in ALOT of trouble.” He chuckled standing back up walking over to Cerri planting a kiss on her cheek before pulling a blanket over her. He stood up looking down to her smiling. “We are having a girl...light help us all this kid is going to be so spoiled...most likely by me.”

Circumstantial Decisions

Aevar paced around the apartment running his hands through his hair waiting. He had things moved around, things packed up. He had been a busy man the past few hours, but his reasoning was important. He hadn’t yet told Cerri of his decision but he could think of no other way to get away from what happened.

His mind ran over the events of last night over and over, there was no going back from what was done. He pulled a gun on Lord Haethon, but it was for a good reason. Devoner had pulled a sword on Alex, and he made a promise to Tayllah that just because she had passed, he wasn’t going to break and that was to watch out for Alex. It all happened so fast, his instincts kicked in before he could even think about what he was doing, and by that time it was too late.

He slammed his fist on the barren table “Fuck all of this. What I did was the right thing, Alex didn’t deserve those words that were said to him. And I will stand by what I did till the end...” It was then he realized he wasn’t alone he looked to the doorway seeing Cerri and Lucas standing there. Lucas was looking at all the packed up things wondering what was going on Cerri was just looking to Aevar. “What is going on Aevar. Why are our things packed away?” Aevar shook his head to her with a look of unhappiness and regret “I don’t know if it is safe for us to be around here right now. We are going somewhere I hope is safe, if it isn’t I will make it safe...I didn’t think I would have to return there, but it is the only place I can think of right now that is out of the way where unless someone really wanted to harm me, or you, or Lucas, they would have to make a long Journey to do so. It is just until I, or we, can figure out what to do next I promise.” He looked to her gauging her respones. Lucas had started to peak into the boxes not really paying attention, he went up the stairs for awhile while Cerri and Aevar continued to talk. Cerri still just stood in the doorway, clear that she was upset about what happened last night still “Aevar where are we going, I understand the reasoning, but where can we possibly go that can be safe right now...”

Aevar went into one of the boxes and pulled out a book, he flipped through some pages before he pulled out a folded up picture handing it to her. The photo was of a large Manor house, at least three stories tall, windows at the foundation eluded to a basement. “I am taking you and Lucas to the home I was born and grew up in. We are going to Alterac. I know you have heard of what goes on in those mountains but that time I spent away from you for awhile, those few weeks, I was there, and I eradicated any threat there. If the bandits decided to return, I will do so again if I have to. I didn’t think I would have to take you there but, this is the only option I have. I have to keep you and Lucas safe, especially since I am the one that put you both in possible danger.” He again looked to her gauging her response.

Cerri approached him sighing shaking her head placing a hand on her chest. “I don’t think you are to try and make amends with the Haethons, you are too stubborn and prideful to do that, and we surely can’t stay with my parents, the last thing I want to do is expose him to my mother. So we have no other option but to go this route. I assume since everything is already packed up you arranged for a carriage to haul everything?” Aevar nodded. Cerri looked at him “Then all we can do is wait till they get here. I am going to check on Lucas and explain it to him the best way I can so he will understand.” She would proceed to the steps and stop mid flight looking back to him. “Aevar...” He looked up to her. “I understand you did what you felt you needed to. And I can see that is now hitting you the implications of your actions, but...we will make it through this. Together. We will find a place to belong. Some place safe, where Lucas can be happy to. Just know it won’t be your birth home...so you better start searching and let me know what you come up with...” Aevar hung his head leaning on the table. “I will. I promise.” Cerri continued the rest of the way up stairs to go talk to Lucas.

Aevar meanwhile stayed downstairs looking about the room. He put his fathers journal back into the box with his other personal affects. He pulled out a dark green cloth with a gold embroidery. He unfolded it revealing a banner with tattered edges at the bottom, and frayed side. In the cent sat a Hawk with a Sword in one hand and arrows in the other. He stood there. Looking at it. “The banner of House Stenwulf will fly over the Manor once again. And those in the land will know who has returned. And they will fear who this banner represents.” Aevar spoke to himself. “No one is going to hurt my family...” He folded the cloth back up placing it in the box again. 

He looked about the room then to the stairs then out the open door. “I need to get in contact with Reiko...”
