allistar: "Sounds like a plan. Everyone's healthy, it's just a check-up to be safe. No one at your wedding is going to be sick, I'm sure it'll turn out to be the epitome of perfect health. For you, I'll remember to do that."

Melrose watched amusedly from in front of the phone her fiance held up, a smile ghosting on her lips. She leaned into Clarissa a little bit as she watched Melissa order around the people she’d hired. If she was honest, she preferred someone who had the ability to be a little harsh, because she knew she would be way worse had she taken control herself. Raising her eyebrows when the woman addressed them, her expression then quickly returned to what was normal fo r her - blank and unreadable. “Well, we’re all alive and no one’s dramatically refused to come to the wedding yet… So I would say pretty good.” She responded, and peered at the blonde beside her, waiting for her own response.

Clarissa laughed lightly as she watched Melissa do her work. an amused gleam flashing in her eyes. While she was undeniably stressed about the week to come (not only over the deed itself, but the fact that only a small chunk of the people they had invited couldn't attend), she was glad to see that things seemed to be under control at the venue. One hand held up her cell, dark hair and high wooden ceilings dancing through, while her free hand rested lightly above her fiancee's knee, an absentminded gesture. The blonde's lips curled into a small smile and she shrugged. "Alive for now, at least. A lot can happen in two days." Her tone took a teasing lilt. "So far no meltdowns, though, so I'd say Mel is right and we're good here."

"No, sweetheart, that goes on the other side of the room. And what is that? This room is supposed to be classy vintage, not your grandmother's dusty attic vintage!" Melissa returned her attention back to her phone, features shifting into a more apologetic expression when she saw Melrose and Clarissa's faces on the screen. "Sorry about that, we're just running a bit late before lunch -- better! See you on the deck at two!" The brunette dismissed those working with her and hoisted her large purse back onto its rightful place at her shoulder, phone surprisingly steady in her hands as she addressed the women. "And now you two have my undivided attention. How is everything back in the city?"
