“The struggle of my life created empathy - I could relate to pain, being abandoned, having people not love me.”
— Oprah Winfrey
“You will fall in love with your friends. Deep, passionate love. You will create a second family with them, a kind of tribe that makes you feel less vulnerable. Sometimes our families can’t love us all the time. Sometimes we’re born into families who don’t know how to love us properly. They do as much as they can but the rest is up to our friends. They can love you all the time, without judgement. At least the good ones can.”
— Ryan O'Connell
You’re just so confusing. One day, I mean the utter most world to you. The next, I’m as futile as the shells of a hardboiled egg.
Reblog if you have an eating disorder and a BMI above 21
I’ll follow all of you. You don’t need to be underweight to have an eating disorder.
If you think minimalism sucks:
1. It doesn’t
2. Here’s why:
Minimalism doesn’t mean obsessively throw out all you own and live in a barren, empty space. It’s to eliminate things that crowd and clutter your space that bring you no joy and serve you no purpose. Things and stuff are meant to be used and if you can’t use it and doesn’t make your space happier and more comfortable, then you don’t need it. It’s about eliminating excess, not everything. It’s about making room for moments not junk. It’s about living with intent and creating a life that serves you and makes you happier. Clutter creates stress even if we don’t notice it. Constantly having to tidy and clean is stressful and can be difficult to keep up with. So eliminating things that just take up space creates less tidying and less things to clean and more time to be productive or just relax.
It’s about fighting consumerism and taking back the things that matter like the people you love and getting rid of the things you don’t like people who don’t appreciate you.
The best things in life aren’t things and no one gets to the end of their life and wishes they had more stuff.
