We’re pulling apart and coming together again and again
I do now.
So there is no meteor shower? No meteor shower. So you used the entire cosmos to trick me? I like to think big.
You know what Logan gives Rory that no one else does? Autonomy. Logan has always always always respected Rory’s choices. Rory drops out of Yale? Logan doesn’t like it but knows Rory is an adult who can make her own decisions. Rory decides to take an internship with his dad? Warns Rory what Mitchum is like but doesn’t stop her. Before having sex with Rory? Asks for verbal consent- twice. When Rory wants to date him? Tells her upfront that he’s not a boyfriend guy so she has the chance to back off. Logan is literally the only person in Rory’s life that respects Rory can make decisions on her own, regardless of whether he thinks she’s right or wrong.
I was making GIFs earlier and I realised I had something to say about this particular moment… I love this scene because it’s clear how much Logan has thought about her before this moment even happens. Logan was attracted to her, he liked her and yet he didn’t make a move. Sure he flirted with her, but he held back his usual Logan Huntzberger game because he had considered what she wanted and her feelings before he did anything.
He was open and honest about what he wanted and who he was. He didn’t lie to her, or pretend that he could be her boyfriend just to sleep with her. Rory actually made the first move. She was the one who asked him to dance, and later was the one to kiss him first. He even tried several times to talk her out of it whilst they were on the dance floor, persistently telling her that while he might be what she wanted now, that wouldn’t necessarily be the case afterwards.
Sure he liked casual relationships and no strings dating, but he never pretended to be anything different. Rory’s subsequent upset for the few episodes after this is all on her. Logan had told her who he was and she had accepted that, it’s not his fault she then got upset. (Nor am I blaming her of course.)
So many people like to paint him as this entitled asshole of a frat boy, and whilst I’ll be the first to admit that he does have his flaws, he has always cared about Rory.

Tell me not to get on that plane. Tell me to blow off my father, the paper, the whole Huntzberger destiny. Just tell me I can figure something else out.

Looking at your latest Rory x Logan edit makes me sad because it feels like that was Logan's last ever attempt at getting them back together before he has to sell his soul to HPG and his family forever. I feel like right after he leaves Rory he has to marry Odette immediately. It looks like a desperate attempt to save himself and I feel like if there were a second season to the revival Logan would already be married to Odette. It's truly very sad.
Yeah. The whole storyline with him was just so sad and so strange considering where we left off with him in Season 7. But I really do think that entire Life and Death Brigade event with Rory he was waiting for her to say something. And if she would’ve said something, he would’ve left. Which is why in my world, she tells Logan about the kid and he comes back to her and they live happily ever after. if there is a Season 2 that handles things differently, I’m not watching lol.
I felt like the whole LDB thing was a last chance too like Logan saying marrying Odette was the dynastic plan was like him hinting at Rory to ask him not too. But I also feel like she felt like maybe she didn't have that right or something after the whole thing with them after she said no at the end of season seven.
I still hope that they will end up together for good without having anyone else they are with at some point somehow.

“ I think your days of rescuing me are over.” “ Oh, you never really needed rescuing, Ace. You know that. “ “ I do now. “
I totally loved all the Rory/Logan scenes even though they were cheating on the people they were in relationships with.
aka. the moment Rory wants to say something and Logan’s waiting for her to say it and she just doesn’t
“Once in a life time experience!” “Only if you want it to be. “
