Her response wasn’t the one he was hoping for but it probably wasn’t his best line either. That’s the thing though, he didn’t just want to use any old line. There was something about this woman. And he knew that if he wanted something more meaningful, he would need to stop with the cheesy lines. “Not original but true.” he replied, taking a drink. “Mind if I join you?”
Wendy glared at her brothers when they rolled their eyes at her reaction to being flirted with. She used to be a fun girl, but between law school and more importantly… Her parents divorce…. She had become…. Uptight so to speak. She looked up at the stranger again and shrugged. “Why not. No one else seems to be listening to me.” She quipped and gave her brothers side glares to make her point.
He was a little confused, quirking a brow as he followed her eyes. He looked back in her direction, “Well you’ve got my attention and no chance of losing it.” he remarked. Napoleon grabbed a chair that wasn’t being used and sat close to her. He sat his glass down on the table, looking over at her. smiling, “Tell me a little about yourself.”
