If anyone recognises these old prompts and is concerned, I’m reposting my own old prompts from the Chamber of Secrets discord server. Primarily Tomarrymort prompts, but Snarry, gen, crossover, and other AUs will slip in there too.

Permission:

For those who stumble their way upon my tumblr, either by accident or design, I just wanted to say that if anyone feels inspired by my prompts or thoughts or funnies, you’re more than welcome to take them and write/draw/create to your heart’s content. I won’t say no to anyone.

Everyone has their own amazing and unique ideas and writing/drawing/creative styles. Even starting with the same prompt will lead to vastly different works of art and literature, and who am I to stand in the way of creativity?

Prompt:

The Avengers bump into a wizard who helps them out in some fight or another. They are so impressed by his power and skillset, that they try to recruit him to the Avengers. While he reluctantly agrees that what they’re doing is important, and that he does want the world defended against all sorts of extraterrestrial and dimensional dangers, but he nervously says he doesn’t have the power or influence to commit.

Then Harry Potter shows up.

A breach of the Statute of Secrecy has been discovered, and the International Confederation of Wizards has decided to send in the very best to investigate and decide on an appropriate course of action.

Prompt:

Harry trips and finds himself in Supernatural (either same world or alternate universe 🤷) in the middle of the apocalypse (season 4-5).

He somehow end up on the Winchesters radar, and they hunt him like every other supernatural baddie they come across. Can’t gank him though, he’s too slippery. Sassy as hell though. He ends up being to them what Gabriel was back when they thought him just a Trickster: they’d kill him if they could, but he’s just a smidgen too powerful, and possibly not as evil as the other evil things they hunt.

Harry though, he knows there’s something going on in this world, something more than just having a different kind of magical/supernatural world hidden just beneath the surface. He becomes a kind of Hunter too. And as he learns about the apocalypse, he learns about the brothers’ role in it.

He starts to help where he can, sneakily, because he doesn’t like being shot at, but they start to realise that maybe he’s on their side, that maybe he’s more akin to Cas than Crowley.

Headcanon/Theory:

If saying ‘Voldemort’ brings down the wards around you and summons Snatchers, then if you are trapped within anti-Apparating wards by Death Eaters, you just need to invoke the Taboo and Apparate as soon as the wards fall to escape. 😈

Prompt:

It’s a secret that only those closest to Harry Potter know, and of those few, only Hermione and Ron know why.

Colin, as Harry’s official photographer, knows the secret.

If anyone tries to take an unauthorised photo of Harry Potter, the photo will come out with someone’s back to the camera, or a hand, or some other sort of obstruction in the image. People assume it’s some kind of spell.

It’s not.

Colin is one of the few who know that every photo of Harry Potter includes one or more of his dead. He has learned how to edit them out of any photos approved for publication, but every other photo must be given directly to Harry. There are no copies. Even the film is destroyed.

The Giant Squid isn’t actually a giant squid.

It’s a kraken.

Prompt:

Peoples magic reaches out for a partner, someone with whom their magic, their soul, resonates with. This causes their magic to whisper out like a sirens call to those around them, like little threads reaching out, like searching for like. Once they find their other person, they can bind themselves together, weaving those threads of magic into one whole to the exclusion of all others.

But relationships are not predestined. Two people might be drawn to one another, but then the second meets a third with whom their magic more closely aligns. The first may continue pining for the second, but they would be able to move on to find another match. (Perhaps a closer match, but perhaps not.)

Harry is terrified to realise in the graveyard that he aligns with Voldemort more than anyone else he’s ever met, and Voldemort has decided to keep Harry and force this bond on him whether he wants it or not. Luckily, Harry is able to escape with the cup portkey and Cedric’s body.

Harry doesn’t understand how he and Voldemort can be so closely aligned. It seems impossible that they could be so compatible.

But then the new year begins and Harry meets his new DADA teacher.

Professor Evans is somehow even more perfect for him than Voldemort! Now Harry has to convince his professor to bond with him before Voldemort captures him again and forces him into it.

(After all, a full soul trumps a few broken shards and fragments.)

Today I present you: AU where Tom didn't get a letter from Hogwarts, because after WW 1 Magic Britain decided to cut ties with muggle Britain. So muggleborns are never contacted.

So Tom grows up thinking his magic is his superspecial unique power. He is not as refined as his canon counterpart, he didn't receive an education on his magic, but he is pure raw power and rage.

During WW 2 Tom gets shipped to war. Yes, he's still underage, but he's an orphan without any parental figure, so who cares?

Well, Tom becomes a war machine. His secret power translates in an incredible gut feeling. Also he is able to discern what he's being lied to. Also his magic protects him as a shield. And his raw power kills people from distance.

He looks like an incredible talented, lucky, brave, ruthless soldier, and he gets promotions and medals.

He also very much enjoys killing enemies and being praised for it. After the war, he decided to stay in the Army, the only place where he feels like his lack of morals and ruthless killing ability is welcomed instead of stunned.

He gets trained in strategy, combat, and so go on. He gets to go to university (he is fascinated by the atomic bomb).

He becomes a young, promising, handsome, intelligent, charismatic, soldier.

He never tells anyone about his superspecial ability. Snakes are his only friends.

And then Magic Britain after 10 years of peace decides to open up again.

So in 1956 Major Tom Riddle (of his grade is not possibile magic did it) discovers that

1- he's not unique

2- the magic world is spoiled and extravagant

3- the old-fashioned elite cares nothing for his success, he gets snubbed just for his birth

4- his raw power is impressive, but he lacks education.

Well. This stupid logic less medieval world which denied him his birthright won't know what hit it. They will kneel before a man like him.

Prompt:

When Harry uses polyjuice, the intrinsic magic connecting them causes Voldemort to transform too!

But if Harry turns into Voldemort, Voldemort turns into Harry. 👀

Prompt:

After the success of creating a living Horcrux, Nagini, Voldemort begins to contemplate creating a human Horcrux, giving him a servant even more useful than his Death Eaters.

The one he considers? Severus Snape.

Snape has already proven himself powerful, resourceful, and clever, as proven by the way he’s managed to straddle both sides of the war so he will always be on the winning side - and self preservation is a desirable attribute to a potential Horcrux. As well as this, having him as his Horcrux will allow him to bypass his mental defenses, giving him unbridled access to the man’s thoughts and motives, just as he enjoys with Nagini.

Yes... Severus would be the perfect subject to become his human Horcrux... 😏

(Does Harry realise he’s Voldemort’s boyfriend? No matter. Doesn’t make it any less true.)

When the Horcrux attached to Harry, Voldemort’s shade followed after him, like a lost duckling. After a few days/weeks, his spirit settled enough that he could think, plan, at least a little.

Harry wasn’t an option, the protections on him were too strong, so instead he possessed the next most vulnerable member of the house...

During the battle in the Department of Mysteries, it is Harry not Sirius who falls through the veil... only to go straight through to the other side as though it was a perfectly normal arch.

Except... for some reason, the first thing he says when he survives the impossible fall is, “Damn it! Not again!”

When Harry died, he didn’t meet Dumbledore in limbo. Instead the Horcruxes were there waiting for him.

In this world of neither life nor death, they could see him for what he was. They could see he was one of them. They could see had had a way back, a way that they could follow.

Now they had him, they weren’t going to let him go.
