three little words

Day 8 of @hphm-rarepair-week, featuring Chester x Felix. 

This…wasn’t supposed to be as angsty as it turned out. 

I’ve been wanting to write Chester x Felix for a while because, although I ship my MC with Felix, I headcanon that Chester was Felix’s first love. But the way I view Felix–which is completely in my head because my MC is a Ravenclaw and has never had a canon interaction with Felix–is that he’s afraid to show vulnerability, which makes him afraid to show that he has emotions, which, you know, makes him bad at relationships. Couple that with my headcanon that Chester is his first but not his last love… It gets kind of emotional, y’all.

Synopsis: Chester tries to say three little words to Felix, who has three little words for him of his own.

It had started out as boredom. Something to do to pass the time between the curses that plagued the school (and that infamous idiot’s sibling losing every house point in the mean time). A way to relieve stress during NEWTs. (”No better way to lower cortisol than kissing in a broom closet–” “Interesting, Davies, will you shut up and kiss me?”) A “mutually beneficial arrangement,” Felix had called it.

In other words? It was nothing.

So I'm posting some Jae/Chiara headcanons for @hphm-rarepair-week.

They first met when he was serving detention in the Hospital Wing cleaning floors and she was there recovering after a full moon.

At first she liked having him there, because he was funny and broke up the monotony. But after several full moons with him there she started to fear that he would figure her secret out and asked Madame Pomphrey to have him assigned elsewhere.

He figures out that she is a werewolf on his own in their third year. Being muggleborn, Jae wasn't raised with the same prejudice as most wizards and really saw no problem with it.

She told him how she transforms in the Shrieking Shack and he pretty quickly asked if he could use it the rest of month to hide contraband merchandise.

He asks her out on their first date in their sixth year, they have a picnic by the lake because he was already banned from the tea shop.

Her friendship is probably the main thing that motivates him to not get expelled or sent to Azkaban.

During the war both of them help out with the Order. She serves as their medic and he gathers Intel on the criminal underworld.

After the war she is finally accepted to become an apprentice healer. He eventually takes over Zonkos when the owner retires.

They adopt several of the kids that Fenrir Greyback bit during the war whos parents didn't want anymore.

Day 7 of @hphm-rarepair-week, featuring Jae x Chiara. I didn’t even ship them before, but I’ve seen the screenshots, and Jam City isn’t playing around.

Inspired by and title taken from this song. Arguably, a little on the angsty side.

Synopsis: Chiara and Jae have a routine.

Every month, one hour before the sun set on the night of the full moon, Chiara met Jae on the seventh floor. It was always the same. He pressed a goblet of Wolfsbane potion into her hands, refused the money that she gave him (which she always managed to slip into his hoodie pocket when he wasn’t paying attention), and walked her to the magical room that seemed to know that she–wolf Chiara–needed somewhere to stay for the night.
