This challenge kicks off the tournament, and what a kick-off it is. The Forbidden Forest becomes host to the seventh year students first, as they start the first of five challenges to determine the winner for each year. The team captains must decide on a strategy under the careful supervision of their Head of House, and decide where to hide their flag. Once the battle commences, it is all fair in love and war as friends become foes and fight against one another in a vicious battleground.
One for the brightest of students. Nobody wants to assume that Ravenclaw will win... but it’s likely. A series of clues will be dropped around Hogwarts, although each year will be searching for a different artefact. The treasure hunt may take them anywhere from the castle to hogsmeade, so keep your eye out! Students must think of innovative ways of getting there and back before the opposing teams. More details to be revealed once significant process / threads have taken place for Event 1.
Who can say if size matters? (yes, we can hear the snickers) or even disposition? Some will argue that this battle is to test the strength and fearlessness that resides in the most unlikely of students, and some will say that this event is solely for the purpose of souls battling in a hilarious, soul-bearing way. Either way, students will be expected to showcase a high level of magic to be able to produce a patronus--and better yet, to keep one going long enough to extinguish the other. Once again, more details to follow after Event 2, once significant threads have either taken place or concluded.
Now this should not be Hogwarts sanctioned, but if we all stuck to the rules, we would all be awfully boring. This will be a test of popularity, concealed feelings and outright shamelessness. Unlike the other events, students from seventh year to fifth year will be running their booths together, so there will be three for each house. The best part? Magic will be used to measure the love each kisser receives, with veritaserum and truth enchantments playing a key role to make sure the results are accurate and that kissers cannot lie. And sure, not everyone has to take part and you can’t kiss those in your own house, but the more students from each house kiss students from other houses, the more their own bar increases too...
As expected, more details will only be released when previous events have mostly gotten off to a start, at least. Although we are sure there are some players that can’t quite wait to show their lip locking skills.
Finally, we will have made it to the final test. Team captains must either elect someone or fight themselves in a duel that will take place in one of Hogwarts’ most lavish and hard-earned balls. It will be an evening of entertainment, non-alcoholic drinking (yeah right) and.... duels. Dressed to the nines, students from years that have tied will be expected to duel in order to be victorious and declare the sole Hogwarts champion.
