“Hey Y\n wanna go to the ball with me?” Fred asked from the gryffindor table “In your dreams Weasley.” y\n called back from the Slytherin table in an annoyed tone.
“Oh I have plenty of those about you love.” he said and winked Y\n rolled her eye’s as all the boys made an ‘Ooohhh’ sound cheering on their friend.
“Oh come on Y\n what’s wrong with me?” he asked “I was thinking about going with George.” she smirked George’s eye’s widen “I-I..” he stuttered, Y\n laughed.
“Oh please we all know you have the hot’s for me.” Fred said ignoring what she said, “again in your dreams.” y\n stood up from her table and started to walk to the doors to leave of course Fred followed.
They hide themselves in a staircase, Fred pushed her against a wall and kissed her passionately only stopping when y\n pushed him away, “Did you really have to pull my brother in to it?” he asked, “Sorry but you were being cocky.” she said.
“Seriously though go to the ball with me.” he said Y\n was still pressed against the wall Fred holding himself up above her.
“We can’t I’ll live in hell if I do.” she said both just above a whisper Fred sighed
“We’ve been going steady all year.” he said Y\n put a hand on his cheek
“I know my love, I promise soon.” y\n said they kissed one more time.
“I have to head to class.” she said Fred stood up and y\n left.
*Later that day in the slytherin common room*
“Is there something going on with you and Weasley?” Draco Malfoy asked walking up to y\n
“What do you mean?” Y\n asked
“At lunch he asked you to the ball.” he said
“He was just being annoying.” she said
“Why? Out of all the people why you?” he asked
“Weasley has always been a bother, there is nothing going on between us.” He gave a raised eyebrow “I’m just showing concern as a cousin, stay away from him, we don’t want our bloodline getting ruined by the likes of that.” he said
Y\n sighed “Yes Draco I know, I have to go.” she said and turned to walk away,
“See you at practice then?” he called, she walked out and made her way to the quidditch field, she was about to walk into the locker rooms when she was pulled from behind she let out a squeal.
“Shh love it’s me.” Fred laughed “Don’t bloody scare me like that.” she said hitting his chest, “I’m sorry, how can I make it up to you?” he asked.
Y\n smiled “welll.” she said leaned up and kissed him, Fred deepened the kiss, Y\n had all she could do to pull herself back, Fred pouted “You know we have to be careful.” she said catching her breath.
“I’m so sick of hiding.” Fred said “I know.”
“Know you don’t Y\n I love you but because I’m a gryffindor and you're apart of the bloody Malfoy family i’m no good.” He ranted
“Excuse me?” she asked “You heard me, you’re so worried what your family would say you always put them before your own feelings.” he continued
“Fred I..” “No Y\n I get it and if taking myself out of the picture helps then so be it.” he said
“Are you breaking up with me?” she asked Fred sighed and kissed her forehead “I’m sorry it’s just easier this way.” and walked away “Fred! Fred!” Y\n called after him she dropped to her knees and began to cry when he wouldn’t turn around.
“What’s the matter with you?” Draco asked walking up from behind her, Y\n stood up giving him an annoyed i’ll kill you look, and huffed away.
She decided to forget about quidditch and just go back to the dorm she stayed there alone not even able to cry from how numb the pain made her feel, she forced herself to go to dinner that night.
She sat by Draco and played with her food, he didn’t bother asking what was wrong knowing he wouldn’t get an answer.
She played with her food, refusing to look up in fear of seeing Fred, when she did look up she caught him looking right at her she placed her fork down and stood up.
She ran out of the great hall, tears finally started to pour out of her eyes she ran to the top of the clock tower and clapsed.
After what seemed like an internity crying she looked out at the dark sky.
"Mom?"
"Mom it's me, listen I can't do this anymore. I know you said to do as Uncle Lucius tells me and I am trying.." y/n paused to breathe
"But I can't anymore I love Fred so much and honestly I think you would like him, since you've been gone he's the only person that can really make me laugh. . . Mom I'm scared I don't wanna lose him but I don't want to lose my family either."
"Please tell me what to do." Y/n finished her rant to the sky and then just sat there in silence until someone put a hand on her sholder.
