hrsjooyoung:
he takes a step closer, tucking his hands into his pockets as he leans forward a seemingly friendly grin tugging at the corners of his lips. he wants to make sure sanha hears this. “So now that we’ve cleared the air on that, I’m going to say this in terms that even a jock like you should understand.”
the smile fades from his lips, “Back off.”
comedy gold. annoyance leaks from every part of jooyoung’s body. his face, his voice, even his gestures. sanha’s barely even started and it seems that the older already has had enough. sadly, it is barely even a challenge anymore. does he really think anything he says or does is going to make an impact? what a fool.
‘she told you i’m a great guy, huh?’ that is really all sanha got from his monologue. who cared if jooyoung hated his guts? as a matter of fact, the elder had merely been fueling his pride, as well as his desire to get him all worked up. ‘i hate to tell you this,’ sanha continues. a lie. he loves to tell jooyoung this, ‘but that is an awful lot better than what she has to say about you.’ he pauses for a moment, looking pensive. an act. he looks back at jooyoung with a worried expression upon his face--or is it pity? ‘i am not sure if i should share this with you.. ah. it’s not really my place to tell, is it?’ sanha carefully studies the other’s face, testing it for any kind of reaction. ‘forget about it. that’s between you two to solve.’
he rests his hand on jooyoung shoulder, shooting him a saccharine smile. ‘hey, thanks for the drinks, bud--’ unexpectedly, another one of his attempts to rile jooyoung up gets interrupted by the man himself. sanha would’ve never thought he’d had it in him; firing back and attempting (although weakly) to threaten him. it takes a second for sanha to process the situation, eyebrows raised as if to question the elder. then he only barely manages to bite back his laughter and releases his hand again.
‘back off? from what? last time i checked, you were the one joining our party. how is it my fault that you feel threatened whenever your girlfriend does so much as look at me?’ he questions, looking oddly satisfied. ‘jealousy doesn’t look good on you, jooyoung. so i am going to say this in terms even a nobody like you would understand.’ the words are repeated in a mocking tone, similar to the way sanha had just been addressed by him. ‘get better or get lost. your girlfriend is the only reason you are here in the first place. so before you start acting all high and mighty,’ sanha says, leaning in a bit further to close the distance between them, ‘please consider this: if i wanted to date mina, i would. you are not dumb enough to think that she would actually choose you over me if given the chance. so again, mind the attitude, or see what happens next.’ far too many words spent on someone that is really not worthy of his time--and yet his lips curl upwards effortlessly after he is done speaking. ‘time to go back now. mina must be wondering what’s been taking me--us, so long.’
