LOL this question pissed me off so much that I decided to answer properly.
I’ve been in the Sims blogging community since 2022. I got into it completely randomly after finding blogs @pixelglam and @aashwarr and realizing that Sims can actually look beautiful, that there are mods, custom clothes, accessories, and that this can be a huge space for creativity.
For around 10 years before that, I was on a graphics and design forum where we made edits and artworks you guys couldn’t even imagine. I know Photoshop so well that I can create almost anything in it (remember this part).
Then the war in my country started, and I had to leave that forum because it was full of Russians justifying what they started. So I lost my little place for self expression, and I was really happy when I found it again here.
This is what my Sims looked like at first, and this is what they look like now.
The biggest discovery for me was GShade. I literally always say that I use the Pearl and Serenity presets and just tweak them a little for myself, so as you can see, there is no magic here either. Then I discovered SRWE, and I was honestly shocked at how much these two programs changed the picture. Still not AI, by the way. It gave a huge boost to my screenshots. Then I discovered relighting, and finally my screenshots had actual lighting.
Then @pixelplayground made a post about screenshots anatomy, and that’s where I learned about RTGI. Since then, my screenshots have started looking the way they do now (but I wish it look more beautiful…)
Oh, and I also discovered bloom. Those white glowing highlights on my latest screenshots. I really love this effect.
I post very little content because 99% of the time I’m unhappy with what I make. I look at other simmers and feel like what I do is not as good as what they do.
But I do not fucking use AI to make my content. First of all, because AI is always noticeable. Compare this. This is my own editing in game + Photoshop, and this is something my friend made for me with AI.
Yeah, it looks cool, maybe even better than the in game version, but we are STILL talking about creativity here, and honestly I prefer this plastic looking but familiar Sims style 🤍
So to summarize, I use GShade (relight, RTGI, bloom, DOF, and color correction), SRWE, and PHOTOSHOP, which I actually know how to use.
For my build previews, I use Canva templates and tweak them a little for myself. I also make GIF files myself in Photoshop.
And of course graphic settings too: Sunblind, better in game lighting, CAS lighting, and graphic mods.
So fuck off with your accusations and toxicity. Have a nice day, bitch🖕🏻
