Surprise!!! - Hojin and Woohyun
hrxhojin:
( . . . ) Hojin didn’t even wait for him to reply as he was already pushing his way out the bar. Guess things were working on his favor he really wasn’t that up to go anyways. The last face he saw was Jaeho… he made a mental note to text him later. Hojin partly felt guilty for his plan but more so excited. Woohyun didn’t have a clue. He held the bottle by it’s neck as he walked down the sidewalk and into an alleyway. Only the brave dared to use because certain activities happen in them at night. He stopped walking then turned to face Woohyun as he opened the bottle with his bare hands, “Let’s drink to our new friendship,” he spoke holding the out for the other to take.
The change in Hojin’s tone and behavior was sudden and rapid — though the reason was unclear, Woohyun liked to think his great charisma was the cause. Sure Hojin must’ve realized how great Woohyun was and that he wanted to be his friend and spend time with him. “Sure! I’d love that!” he answered with a wide smile, oblivious to any secret ill intentions the other man might have had.
Woohyun was already pushed out of the bar, but he didn’t resist anyway. He waved to his teammates, assuring them he’d be back soon and that they didn’t have to worry. Their expressions though confused them, because for some reason they didn’t seem to like what was happening and looked suspicious. They didn’t know Hojin like he did though, the boy was harmless. Right?
“Why are we here?” he asked then, looking around the alleyway. “We should be behind the bar, ordering shots!” He furrowed his eyes but as Hojin offered him liquor, he couldn’t help but smile yet again. “Sure, let’s do that!” he replied and took the offered bottle After lifting it in the air as a quick gesture of a toast, he placed the bottle to his lips and took a long sip out of it.
Someone: you probably dont even care...
My low empathy ass: haha yeah
hryuna:
( . . . )
A smile was on her lips as she considered her next step, and it wasn’t until she felt the warmth of someone who was so close to colliding with her that she snapped out of it. “You don’t sound sorry,” said Yuna, the words tumbling out of her mouth when she heard the other’s apology and instantly her cheeks flushed, embarrassed at her own actions even though she told herself it was well deserved.
She took a peak up from under her umbrella when she heard her name come from the stranger’s lips, a frown on her face as she saw who it was. “Oh, it’s you,” was all that she could manage to say. “What are you doing here?”
he wasn’t sorry as that word usually just didn’t fit in with his character. that was until he saw her face and he became sorry for just too many things to count. “i am sorry! really...” he quickly said, though now he wasn’t sure for what exactly was he apologizing. he had a lot of options. “i’ve just had a bad day;” he added, trying to excuse himself for his offensive tone at the beginning.
though he felt bad immediately after saying that. she could probably see right through him — she always did. “oh, uh, i’m back.. from america.” he was struggling to find the words to answer, knowing what he had done all those years ago. sure breaking over a text wasn’t a big thing to him anymore, but it wasn’t always like that. with her it was different, he was actually in love with her then and after her, he never felt anything like it again.
he felt guilty and for a good reason. “i’m kinda taking a break from nhl;” he further explained, trying to fill the heavy silence. he could only hope she didn’t see the scandal on the news as that would be just too embarrassing to handle. “what about you?”
Surprise!!! - Hojin and Woohyun
hrxhojin:
( . . . ) It was awkward that none of the other players offered Woohyun a sit, though in their defense they didn’t have any more room. Hojin didn’t have anything to say to him, this was the last place he expected to see the other man. In passing he heard Woohyun had went to America and that’s it really. To have him back even at a distance was nauseating. Clearly he didn’t know or care how his teasing affected Hojin. He hated him for that, his self-esteem was already shot but Woohyun’s antics made things worse. “I take it you’ve been back for a while,” Hojin finally spoke, “You might want to get back to your team.”
woohyun usually liked the attention, but the way these guys were now looking at him wasn’t one of those times. he laughed, defensively putting his hands in the air: “oh come on, i was just joking!” to some extent, that was true but he couldn’t hide the fact that he was enjoying the angry expression on hojin’s face. “you can take a joke, right?”
it was obvious that the team wasn’t a dancing one and the fact that they were basketball players didn’t surprise him. he nodded approvingly but a comment escaped his mouth again soon: “well that’s a shame though.. i’d pay to see you in those tights and pointy shoes again!”
he was slightly disappointed that hojin didn’t seem to be happy woohyun was back. “oh, hojin.. come on.. i though we were friends!” he pouted, pressing his right hand to his chest, acting offended and broken-hearted. “i thought you’d be happy to see me again!” eh took another sip of the beverage in his hand and he couldn’t help but smirk.
though it wasn’t a decision made in the moment, woohyun didn’t think about it for more than a month. he then went and adopted a maine coon. he found this cat breed on instagram and after seeing how enormous and cute they were, he just needed one! so meet lucifer, a two years old gigantic maine coon.

❛ you really are. it was a bit difficult to keep my eye on everything earlier, ❜ hyemin replies quickly. gladly recounting her few minutes of silence on the bench. it had brought her much enjoyment to watch in the brief moments. ❛ it’s like you’re flying…but on ice. do you ever race each other? or is that…dangerous. ❜ ☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙
she reminded him of his sister — chaerin must’ve been around the same age as her when he left korea. they were still close at that time, but he threw that away — and for what? was that really the kind of person he is?
“don’t worry, everyone starts somewhere;” he encouraged her. “besides, the basics are easy to learn and that’s all you really need to know to follow a match!” though he was speaking with a constant smile on his lips, he felt bad about the missed moments with his sister. he wondered if he would ever be able to make up for it.
nodding, he forgot about what he was thinking for a second and shifted focus back on the girl in front of him. “we do! but we are geared up from head to toes so we can be a bit reckless;” he chuckled, finding it cute the way she asked if it was dangerous.
for a second he felt as if he was there again, nine years in the past, hanging out with his sister. “hey, i know it sounds crazy but... do you wanna try it?” he asked, knowing they had at least twenty minutes before the zamboni was scheduled. “i could get you skates and a stick!” he tied convincing her. he knew one of the players would gladly lend their stick and he could borrow the skates from the club. “and i’ll teach you some tricks, of course!”
Me, a pathological liar: To be honest…
Surprise!!! - Hojin and Woohyun
hrxhojin:
( . . . )
The joyful took a left turn as another sports team entered the bar. Everyone at their table shot a death glare of varying intensity. For a moment the young man thought his eyes were playing a trick on him, was that really Woohyun? He hadn’t seen him since his school but Hojin’s memories of him weren’t kind. He was one of the main people to bully him and cause him to have issues with his weight and body. Drinking his full glass of beer he slammed it down hard on the table and moved to get up but felt a strong pull sitting him back down.
“Chill, don’t start,” Jaeho spoke in a low voice just for him to hear.
The guys in Hwaryung’s hockey team did their best that week and at the end, it showed — they were exhausted and in a need of some relaxation. It didn’t take long for one of them to propose a ‘team building’, which was just another way of saying ‘drinking’. Not all of them had time, so they decided to reschedule it, but some of the teammates still wanted to go out right now (including Woohyun).
Woohyun and six other teammates ended up going to a sports bar, all of them laughing and cracking jokes. They even showed each other some girls that they slept with in the last month and it turned into a small competition. Surprisingly for Woohyun, he didn’t win.
When they finally walked in the bar, the hockey players crammed around two tables which they pushed together. They started ordering mostly beer, but for their first round, they also ordered some tequila shots. They were loud and most likely annoying for others, but Woohyun was having the time of his life with his bros. That’s when he noticed a familiar face across the bar, giving him a death stare. “No way!” he laughed and said to himself and stood up. “Hey, where you going, man?” his teammate, Minho asked. “Don’t worry, I’ll be right back;” he tapped his shoulder and headed towards the table where his old acquaintance was sitting.
With a drink in his beer and a cocky smile on his lips, he finally came close enough for the other one to hear. “I can’t believe this, man! Hojin, right?” he asked, laughing. “Is this your ballet team?” he joked and looked at the other guys around.
✧・゚: *✧・゚ @hrxnick
It was a violent match, with a few too many fouls. Woohyun even suffered a five-minute penalty that was a result of a fight. One of the opponents was spitting insults at him on and on — on top of that, the judging this game was more than just negligent. It seemed that most of the fouls made by the opposing team were overlooked and that was enough for Woohyun and others to get riled up.
That’s how he ended up in a fight and sitting in the penalty box. He was glad though that he clearly won the fight. And of course, the crowd went wild, they loved a good fight. It was then that he noticed a certain boy, which he remembered from America when he was teaching in an ice hockey camp. Did he move to Korea? he wondered for a second but had to get his head back into the game immediately after that.
After winning and Woohyun being responsible for one of the three goals, the team celebrated in the wardrobe. Though they were making plans already for a celebration in a bar, he excused himself and got ready quickly, claiming to have some other plans.
He found the boy outside at the rink’s cafe. “Hey, man!” he greeted him and gestured at the seat across the table. “May I sit?” He offered him a small smile and placed the big hockey bag on the ground. “You were one of the kids in the hockey camp in America, weren’t you?” Though he didn’t remember his name, he was sure that the face was the same.
✧・゚: *✧・゚ @hryuna
It was a rainy day, the kind that puts people in a bad mood and makes most of them sleepy. And so it wasn’t surpring that Woohyun, who was usually full of energy, was feeling tired, exhausted and quite moody. He was getting coffee, which he had been craving his whole day, and watching the rain outside.
He didn’t even hit on the barista like he usually would but ignored her flirting and just paid for the coffee to go and headed outside. He was walking towards the hockey arena, where he was to meet up with some of his teammates. With an umbrella in his hand, he was thinking about the game last night and what he could improve and change — how could they play differently next time in order to improve and win. Caught in his thought, he barely noticed a figure in front of him — luckily he noticed it soon enough for his reflexes to kick in and not crash into them, knocking them over. “Ugh, sorry;” he said, slightly frustrated by the person.
Furrowing his eyebrows, he looked up, only to be stunned in place. What? He could barely believe his eyes, was it really her? As always, she shined like the sun and even the rain didn’t stop her. What the hell man, that was cheesy, he thought to himself. “Uh, Yuna?” he said but it ended up sounding like a question. He noticed his heart started racing in his chest and he had no idea how to act around her. It was as if she was the only girl he was incapable of talking to. What the hell was happening to him? He wanted to say something, but though he was screaming at himself in his mind, no words came out.
Karaoke ❄
hrjungjin:
( . . . )
They had agreed to meet there. The ride was uneventful and spent mostly staring out of the window. He would have normally carried a book with him to read, but it would have been a bother to have to carry it all evening. So he hadn’t taken one with him. It didn’t take too long for him to get to the place and soon he was waving as he noticed his friend already waiting. “Hey there, have you been waiting long?”
Though he had a lot of clothes, Woohyun usually didn’t spend much time deciding what to wear. If it was hockey related — sweats, if it was formal — a suit and if it was anything else — black ripped jeans and a t-shirt. And the last was what he was wearing today as well, going to the karaoke bar to meet with his longtime friend Jungjin. He loved that guy and was excited to finally see him again. Playing in America made it difficult to see him often, but now that he was back, they had no excuses to not go out.
He got there first and to fill his time until the other male came, he scrolled through his socials. He even slid into a girl’s dm, cocky enough to believe she was going to reply no matter what he texted her.
Soon he heard a familiar voice speak to him and his head shot up in a second, a wide smile spreading over his lips. “Jungjin!” he called out and approached him, pulling him into a hug. “Man, am I glad to see you!” Shaking his head and waving his heads, he assured him: “No, not long, don’t worry.”
Then he checked him out and approvingly nodded his head: “You look great as always, damn. Girls must be throwing themselves at you!” He had told him countless of times that if Woohyun would be a girl, he’d already made a move on him. Laughing out loud, he gestured towards the entrance: “Shall we? It’s been ages since we last sang together. Also, yes, I’m still the best singer in the world!” If the best singer meant singing out of tune and dancing if he were drunk and out of his mind. But that’s what he loved in their friendship: he could act like himself, a dorky guy who just wanted to have fun, without being judged.
hrduckie:
( . . . ) When he was getting ready to head out he caught up to him in hopes of inviting him for a bite to eat. He hoped he didn’t come off as a goofy fan or anything. “Hey, that was a great game last night. You wanna head out for lunch?” he asked. “I’ll buy,” he added quickly, in hopes of staving off a notion he was hoping for a free meal. Not when he was offering.
It was a simple routine to follow, wake up, train, go to the gym and train some more. But it did get exhausting pretty soon and Woohyun wanted to something else for a change. So it was pretty convenient when someone he had seen many times in the gym approached him. “Hey, thanks man;” he scratched the back of his neck, a bit startled at first and not sure how to react.
His first thought was that the guy was his fan but after quickly checking him out, he decided he wasn’t crazy so it couldn’t hurt to go out with him, right? Besides, he needed some company from someone who wasn’t his teammate. “Sure, let's do that!" he smiled and offered him his hand. “Woohyun, by the way.” Though he had seen him multiple times, he had no idea what was the guy’s name. “Also I’m buying - you know, for winning the game last night!”
✧・゚: *✧・゚ @yerinxhr
sure it wasn’t the brightest idea or plan he had ever had, but how could he resist the tempting body and lips of the woman dancing that night in front of him. she asked him if he wanted to continue the dance back at her place, but after finding out where she lived he became skeptical.
though he didn’t need much convincing and soon they were undressing each other in her bedroom. she was amazing but after waking up the next day, like with all the others, he wanted to get out before she woke up. quickly, yet quietly he put on his clothes and left her apartment, rushing towards the exit.
but as luck would have it, he saw a familiar figure coming towards his way. he started cursing, knowing he slept with the girl in front of him just one week before and if she found out he was now messing with another girl in this building, she’d probably kill him. or at least make a scene, big enough for everyone to hear. no, he couldn’t afford that.
he basically ran in the opposite direction, turning at the nearest corner. he couldn’t find a restroom or anywhere else to hide, so he turned to last resort. “fuck it!” he started aggressively knocking, almost banging with his fist, on the nearest apartment room. “is anyone home? please, open!” he was panicking, constantly looking to his left, afraid to see her turn the corner.
but then, the doors in front of him opened and a women’s face peeked out, probably surprised and annoyed with his actions. he didn’t care about her and the nuisance at the moment but only cared about saving his ass at the moment. his manager would otherwise kill him and the media would eat him up.
“sorry;” he murmured and shoved the doors open, quickly entering the apartment, and then shut them closed behind. “fuck;” he breathed out, finally relieved and feeling safe. he also completely forgot about his ‘host’ and was only focused on his rapid breathing, trying to calm himself down.
