When he set the mug of hot chocolate down, she gave him a soft smile. It looked good, but she sure it was scorching so she wasn’t going to try it just yet. “I must agree with that.” she said. She ran her fingers through her long hair, before looking up at him , “Its really hard when the person you love leaves, isn’t it?”

Kayden buried his hands in his lap for a moment, they were actually pretty cold if he had to admit. But the male leaned back and let his head rest against the cushion and gave her a small, lazy smile. Upon hearing her question, he nodded his head in agreement. “It’s very hard, actually. I’m more worried about this house situation, it’s too much for me to handle on my own, you know?”

Summer did as he offered. She made her way over to the couch, taking a seat, and grabbing a blanket that was at the end of the couch. She wrapped it around her shoulders, and pulled her legs up onto the couch, sitting crisscross, then smiled softly, “Marshmallows would be great.”

Kayden gave her a small smile before turning his attention back to filling the kettle with water and turning it on. The male waited for a mere five minutes before he was pouring water into her mug, mixing in the hot chocolate and topping it off with mini marshmallows. The brunet brought it out to her but sat it on the table to cool before sitting beside her. “You know it kind of feels nice not being alone.”

Roman shrugged his shoulders, rubbing his eyes tiredly. “Chance left,” he said after a moment, voice cracking slightly. “And I haven’t really been sleeping because of my nightmares, I guess.”

“Well I can most definitely feel you on the first part..” He said in a mumble. “Why haven’t you gone to anyone to get help sleeping? Kayden questioned curiously.

“You can;t fix someone, Kay. Sweetheart, they can only fix themselves. You eventually have to let them go so they can pull themselves together and stand on their own feet.” she said softly.”I don’t know, Kayden.. Honestly.. it took me three tries before getting to Toby.”

Kayden just slumped, sucking his lesser lip into his mouth with a frown. “I know, I just always try to aim for the impossible.” He joked lightly. “One day I’ll have that..”
