Dark Model is a new project by a New York based award winning composer Tatsuya Oe (also known as Captain Funk), which focuses on edgy, progressive, and dramatic hybrid (orchestral electronic) music. Its basic concept is to make “Music Fiction (or Drama)” by incorporating a diverse range of musical ideas and elements which Tatsuya has achieved through out his career. As heard in his past works such as Captain Funk “Songs of the Siren” which was acclaimed by the Billboard magazine and OE’s most experimental “Physical Fiction”, Tatsuya has had strong interests in “building and telling a story through music” in terms of both composition and sound design. What he is attempting in his approach with Dark Model could be could be considered to be in the same vein as those earlier works. However, it is striking that he features more cinematic elements and orchestral arrangements in this new project than he did previously. Since the launch of the project in May 2012, Dark Model’s music has been licensed and featured in numerous media projects, including the first promo reel of 2013 film “Elysium” as well as advertising campaigns of Verizon Droid (US), Lexus (US), Oakley (US), KFC (AU), etc. Dark Model Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/DarkModelMusic SoundCloud: http://soundcloud.com/modelectronic/sets/dark-model-version1-0 Bandcamp (Store): http://darkmodel.bandcamp.com Youtube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ModelElectronic Google+: https://plus.google.com/101107948282243686413/ Myspace: https://myspace.com/darkmodelmusic Keywords for Dark Model: Orchestral, Progressive, Hybrid Electronica, Industrial Rock, Trailer, Story telling, Building, Cinematic, Classical, Dubstep, EDM, Dramatic, Edgy, Aggressive, Epic, Electro, Bold, Hard-hitting, Massive, Minimalism, Melancholic, Breathtaking

Here’s the set we built for Daft Punk’s Grammy performance tonight.
Tino Schaedler and Optimist Design teamed up with Daft Arts to create this amazing mid-century modern design set. Check out the old school audio equipment integrated into the set. Very cool. The recording booth is patterned after the “Mother” space craft control room from the movie Alien. The robots gold mirror mixing console actually worked and was played live.

Awesome.
Haioka: „Harumi“ EP Emerald & Doreen Records feels touched by the drifting of time. After his great artistic and public access of his first release „Blowin` In The Wind Of Love“, Shintaro Haioka offers a sudden retasting of his old japan and new world mixery. With his „Harumi“ EP, this experienced electronic producer circles around various themes of human evolution. Harumi Shibukawa gave name to the EP and the first track, „Harumi“ invented the japanese calendar back in 1685. Time circles procede by „Good Luck“, processing beauty and noise of contemporary Japanese everyday life. The EP goes on with a musical nature poem by the name of „Mizu – Bashou“ and „New Moon Light“, the moon beinge a symbol of the beginning of a new wheel`s spin. „Drift“ and „Standing In The Storm“ end this EP. By „Harumi“, Haioka again combines the japanese classical instruments such as the hyōshigi percussions or the koto zither with contemporary sound processing and effects. The result is even greater than before. Texts by http://emerald-and-doreen.com/ Haioka Official Web - http://haioka.jp
