I like to think of Tegiri as one of those people who really want to go on anime conventions but don't have enough money for a decent cosplay, so he ends up looking very silly. He hates that he has to buy pirated or used copies of his favorite animes or mangas, saying he only does it because it's what he can afford, due to low caste and all.
He also buys fan-made products such as stickers, figures, posters, etc. to 'support artists'.
His lusus is very close to him. He's like a dog guard, making sure no one attempts to invade his hive, especially during the day.

She, however, felt pity for him, especially how he wasn't even harming anyone. Polypa is a violetblood, but she has never cared for blood color. Anybody can suck, just like how anybody can be good. And Tegiri was just some poor dweeb.
She spared him, but proposed a deal. Despite her very high status, and undeniable strenght, she could still use a companion. If he helped her with her work, she would get him original products.
As time went by and they become closer, pale feelings started to appear, but none of them are ready to confess them yet.
Also, Tegiri's lusus was initially very skeptical of Polypa due to her being a seadweller, always growling and huffing at her, he never attacked because Tegiri always reassured him that she was a friend. And as time went on, Tegiri's lusus grew fond of Polypa, too.
Let's start with Chahut. Pre-extermination, she was a simple woman. She was never bothered by the fact that she'll never adquire a decent futute due to her blood caste. Rather, she just simply accepted it. Crocheting was and still is her favorite thing to do, and she usually donated her pieces to lowbloods in need, especially during colder seasons.
She met Amisia when she was holding an artowrk display. She complimented the goldblood for her incredible talent at such a young age, and how she used her psionics smartly. Amisia says she gets that a lot. Ever since, they were inseperable. Chahut often crocheted winter clothes for her, and even saved her once from a highblood who was jealous of her work.
After the mass murdering began, Chahut fled from her neighbourhood and hid in a cavern for a day. She came back to see everything destroyed, and her lusus dead. With nowhere else to go, she stayed under what once was her home. Amisia got super worried after hearing about the news and not receiving any messages from Chahut for days, so she went to the place she lived to find her in a very poor situation.
Chahut convinced her to move away to the countryside, very far away from the city. They now live in a hive which was left by a freshly turned adult. Amisia never had physical art displays again, and only shows her works through pictures on her social media accounts. The limeblood, after having access to technology once again, could finally understand clearly what was happening and, in one of the articles she was reading, The Grand Mutantblood was mentioned.
She was intrigued. This was the first time she read that name, which would have changed everything for her. He was a troll that lived centuries ago, notorious for his candy red blood, and wishes for a more peaceful world. Chahut began worshipping him and preaching his word, wanting nothing more but peace.
Marvus used to live in a small lowblood village, habitated mostly by limebloods like him. Back then, he was mostly just known for his looks, especially in such a small village like that where pratically everyone knew each other. He was already composing back then, but never dared to publish his songs. When his home village was attacked by drones, he ran away. He hid in the woods, hoping to not be caught.
After surviving the night, just like Chahut, he walked back to what once was his home village, seeing everything destroyed and not a single troll alive. Before the event happened, he heard some people say that the government waa trying to exterminate all limebloods.
So he when he saw the body of one of the only olivebloods who lives there, he stole all of their clothes and started to pretend he was an olive. He walked for a few nights, surviving with the resources he had in hand, until he finally spotted a city. He stole a hive that was once owned by an actual olive, who recently had gone off planet, and claimed he had 'moved in'. He continued his life as a song producer, this time actually publishing them. Many of his neighbors claimed that he had a 'unique style', which made him a bit more known.
He had managed to re-establish his life just fine, even though he was committing the serious crime of faking his blood color, but that was merely just for his survival. Nobody knew about his past, and he was just fine with that.
Until one night. He was alone in the streets, having gone outside for groceries, until he was stopped by a tealblood. The teal claimed that he needed to inspect the man, which Marvus hesitantly allowed. He knew teals were all buddy-buddy with the law, and he was aware that the man had every right to cull him if he hesitated.
After being inspected and with nothing suspicious found, the man asked one more thing. He wanted Marvus to remove his sunglasses. He froze, he knew he was a dead man if he did that, but refusing the order of a teal also made him a dead man, so he complied. He took off his glasses, revealing his eyes, a lighter shade of green.
The man said he knew it, and Marvus knew he was dead, but the teal didn't make a move to cull him.
He introduced himself as Fozzer, a tealblood who is actually against the limeblood extermination. He saw Marvus once when he visited his destroyed village, and saw him disguising himself as an olive. The tealblood came to pick up limeblood bodies so he could bury them, as a form to pay respect for innocent lives.
Fozzer claims Marvus' secret is safe with him, and that he won't ever cull the greenblood. He says that the extermination was a 'low move' from the Empire. The legislacerator is true to his word.
Marvus still pretends to be an olive, with now having a friend who is aware of his secret, but hasn't ever told anyone about it.
Karako's story is likely the saddest. He was only a grub when the limeblood extermination occurred. His hive was just recently built when it got destroyed. If it wasn't by his lusus, he wouldn't have survived. His lusus sacrificed himself just to bring Karako to safety.
The grub's cries were heard by a troll who lived nearby, the shore. Soon enough, he was found by Bronya, who unlike the other fuchsias, had a kind heart, and took the limeblood grub in her arms. She took him to her hive and has been raising him in secret, not letting anybody know about it.
Karako doesn't remember much about his grubhood, all he knows is that he can't go outside, otherwise, they'll get him.
There's not much to talk about the twins, only that the haunted house in this AU is their actual hive, they know that people are usually too scared to bother checking on those. And if someone does, they scare them away. Online, they use gray text color like Karkat, and are generally just your nerd stereotype.

But to answer your question, Nepeta and Equius have known each other since they were very young, when Nepeta was still very sweet and kind. Equius has always been an antisocial and reserved guy, preferring to stay in the background and watch things go by. He is rarely ever phased by anything.
Nepeta tried to make him open up more, even invited him to go hunting with her. And despite his stubbornness and hesitancy, she didn't give up. She wanted to at least make him smile. Equius, secretly, really cared about her.
As time went by and Nepeta succumbed more and more to her highblood status, she stopped trying to cheer up Equius or try to make him socialize more. She became apathetic, cold and indifferent towards lower castes. Equius, however, was unphased by her change of personality and was expecting that to happen eventually. He didn't change though. He's still extremely introverted and reserved. And even with Nepeta's change, he knows that deeply inside, she still cares about him.
Nepeta claims that Equius is 'whatefur', but he is aware that she actually still thinks highly of him. She can't hide her real feelings from him, and maybe she's okay with that. In truth, Equius might just be the only lowblood she truly cares about.
Equius doesn't care that Nepeta is a whole different person now, he still cares a lot about her, and he knows the feeling is mutual. She's the only person he needs, and he's okay with that.

Why did you make the purplebloods into limebloods I am quite curious about them
Cancer and Capricorn are opposite zodiacs. Therefore, the purples became limes. This does not apply for the Makaras since the Vantas are mutants, so the Makaras in this AU would be mutantbloods.
The limeblood extermination did happen, and the trolls I've re-introduced are one of the few survivors left. The limes work pretty much just like how they would have in canon, they got pacification psychic powers which were seen as a threat to the Empire. Chahut worships what would be the Sufferer of this AU, in this case being The Grand Highblood, who is now known as The Grand Mutantblood.

So firstly I'm gonna explain how things work with multiple fuchsias.
Usually, they have to strife for the throne. Just like in canon how the young fuchsias must battle HIC over the Alternian throne. HOWEVER, if a heir/heiress willingly doesn't want to become the ruler, they will get assigned another important role, such as the Empress/Emperor's left hand, baron/baroness, duchess, or any other high role someone of their caste is deserving of. They cannot be anything lower than a knight, so "wanting to abandon their duties and live normal life as a random citizen" is a big no. They won't get culled for that, but they will be kept an eye on to make sure they don't attempt to run away again. Their decision to not become the ruler becomes official when they come of age. After that, they cannot strife for the throne. Too late to change their minds.
Despite all of these rules, any and every single fuchsia is still highly feared, and nothing can really stop them from doing what they want, only other fuchsias can do that.
As for those who want to take the throne, they must strife the other interested fuchsias over it, and whoever wins, shall challenge the Empress.
Now, about Daraya.
Daraya does not want to become an Empress, despite admitting that being able to rule everything is really cool. However, she is aware that it's impossible to defeat the current Empress, so she doesn't even want to risk it. The truth is, she hates that she's spoiled since she crawled out of the caverns, because of her blood color. Something she didn't ask. Everything she wants, she can get easily, and she thinks this is very boring. She's not fond of all that wealth. Even if she doesn't want to rule Alternia, she's still going to be assigned another very important role and be a very important person in society, she has no choice but stay being high ranked. All she really wanted was to be able to choose what she wants to do, to be free, but she can't. Even though she's the highest of highest, she still feels trapped and pressured, how those who are lower than her have implemented these rules and they're just accepted, and she doesn't really think there's anything to do about it. She CAN, because once again, she's the highest of the hemospectrum, but she's not the only one. Another fuchsia would attempt to cull her. Probably Lynera or Lanque.
I've stated that no one but Stelsa knows about Tyzias' rebel thoughts, but I feel like eventually Daraya would find out about them too, and instead of culling the rustblood, she'd just go along with it. They'd meet in secret to debate about their rebel ideas and how Alternia sucks even for fuchsiabloods.
Lynera often makes false claims that Daraya wants to take the throne, which makes her really scared that they'll end up putting her on the strife list, when that's not what she wants at all.
Anyways, yeah, she's still a punk rebel, but fish.
A fuchsiablood living outside the sea, and is secretly raising the limeblood child Karako. She is determined to let the boy live as long as he can,but still fears being found out and ended up getting both of them culled by another fuchsia. She states that if she manages to get the throne, she will change Alternia for the butter, and allow the remaining limes to live normally again.
Wanshi Adyata
The youngest fuchsia in line for the throne. She is influenced by both Bronya and the other fuchsias, who maintain the violent world mindset. Personally, she doesn't mind culling and thinks they're all just playing, but also thinks some culling is unfair. She wishes to be able to take the throne someday, but doesn't mind if she loses, she'll just get assigned another important role. She is capable of causing chaos just because she thinks it's fun.
Lynera Skalbi
A woman with an obsession for her status and future. She claims that she'll stab whoever takes the throne that isn't herself, using her golden trident. She refuses to take any other important role, she wants to rule. She despises Daraya and wants to make sure the punk will never become the Empress. She is still obsessed with Bronya, and if the other fuchsia happens to take the throne, Lynera wants for them both to rule together. Yet, she is unaware that she is raising a lime.
Daraya Jonjet
A fuchsia who's not very enthusiastic about her future role. Despite claiming that being the ruler of everything is very cool, it is also a very boring life. And even if she doesn't become Empress, she'll probably get assigned another boring important role, and won't be able to do whatever she wants to do because Society wants someone as high as she is to do something important and relevant with her life. She feels trapped, and hates Lynera for her accusations that she wants to become Empress and effectively make society even worse. She is indifferent about death and culling, but simultaneously doesn't mind interacting with lowbloods. She knows Tyzias, but is unaware of her rebel thoughts. But if she knew, she wouldn't care.
Lanque Bombyx
Basically a Prince of Life. He aspires to become Emperor and is the one who looks like an average fuchsia the most. He shares the same mindset as of the current Empress and will follow her legacy.
Lowblood, highblood, it still doesn't matter. Everybody suck. She's a ninja who helps rustblood Tegiri Kalbur evade getting himself culled, and easily gets original products for him due to her status. She has pale feelings for him, but never expresses them. She enjoys collecting card games.
Konyyl Okimaw
A woman true to her status. Aggressive, culls mercilessly using her shark gloves, and always gathers precious jewelry after her hunts, except she gives them as gifts to her matesprit. She is faithful to an ancient violetblood woman who marked Alternian history.
Charun Krojib
Sea worms enjoyer. They're like an opposite Dualscar. Instead of orphaning, they re-home lusii. They create art using things they find underwater.
Boldir Lamati
In the public view, she may seem like every other seadweller. Snob, ostentatious, casteist. But in reality, she's secretly leading a group of trolls of much lower castes who have a conspiracy against the Empire and plan to overthrow the fuchsias. Like a troll mafia.
They are a DJ who mainly works at raves, but also gets hired in parties. They stream their own songs on Grubtube and Slaughterify, and they also got their own podcast channel. They also stream themself reacting to videos, too.
Kuprum Maxlol
An insane boy with an absurd amount of physical strength, despite his seemingly looking skinny body. He's still a gorechanner, and his main hobby is violently trolling lowbloods with his moirail. He's extremely dangerous, he's able to smash a brick without much effort, yet he genuinely cares a lot for his palemate. He aspires to become a threshecutioner someday and is obsessed with the fuchsiablood Daraya.
Folykl Darane
Contrary to every other indigoblood out there, she is extremely weak, due to a rare disease called Muscle Leech, in which the troll has all of their muscle mass and strength drained away from them, leaving them weak and defenseless. Her incapability to defend herself almost lead to her death, if it wasn't for her moirail Kuprum and her mediculler Marsti, whom she often has check ups with so she can properly treat her condition. Being a highblood, trolls tend to worry about her and this disease a lot more.
Azdaja Knelax
An engineer with a passion for building and inventing things. If his canon counterpart is supposed to be a parody of Vegeta, then his indigo version is a lot more like Bulma. He often gets fancy gifts from his seadweller quadrantmate.
Zebede Tongva
He has a stable and is the owner of a hoofbeast riding school. He likes all of his horses and takes care of them all with much love. He's big into troll kpop and wishes to someday be able to go to his favorite group's concert.
