The world is ending.

Oh, it’s ending, but wouldn’t you look at it? It’s gorgeous even in its final moments. The flowers—the beautiful flowers—they bloom. Flourish, even. The children, they play contentedly within or outside of their homes—they are blessed to be the oblivious ones, unknowing to what is unfolding around them. And therefore, this makes them happy. Joyous.

The adults sit inside, fearing, glued to their television screens or the cellphones or any other device which shows the news. “FLOWERS ARE BLOOMING IN ANTARCTICA” the headlines read. People used to find that interesting, perhaps even happy about it—what gorgeous flowers, they thought!

But it’s not just about the flowers.

As the flowers blossom after years of slumber whilst trapped within ice, so do…other, less delicate and pretty things. Inside the ice rests a slew of ancient diseases, parasites, and everything horrible one could think of.

And humanity has no resistance to any of it.

“NEW DISEASE,” The headlines read. “IT CHANGES THE ENTIRETY OF SOMEONE’S BODY.”

And it does. A lot of them do. That’s what Life intended, when they made those diseases and parasites and more. Life had a plan—one which no one but the deity themself would understand. Those horrible things which had been locked away in ice for centuries would emerge and eradicate humanity.

The animals, the plants, they would all be alright. And the chosen ones—more commonly known as the Sacrifices—they will be the only remaining “humans”. They will survive and make this world…perfect.

The first and last image were both made using black centered Picrew—the one in the middle was drawn by me last year.

personally, I like Ari’s newest design the best. It just looks a lot better and better portrays her personality, I think.

Some things about Arianna

My girl’s a little traumatized even though she’s very very silly <3

she’s known to have occasional anger outbursts and can get very violent very quickly

very devoted to one of the gods—Maan. Also fun fact: Maan actually helped raise her after her father died (Maan was very close with Ari’s family, Ari’s dad was a brilliant mind and Maan assisted him)

she lovessss Jules. Like loves loves. But they have a girlfriend so she’s not gonna go after them. (Except some things happen at the end of the story 👀)

kinda has a flirty personality. Also super sarcastic and usually laidback/easygoing. Unless, y’know, she gets really upset or smth.

has a pet cat named Loki!

No one has done it before. But everyone knows the gods are corrupt—the gods’ creations are aware and are unhappy.

but everyone already knows that. So how, then, do you kill a god?

It shouldn’t be that difficult. It’s simply that no one has tried.
