You know that different companies run ads, right? There’s no way they’d get all these companies to agree with participating in a publicly campaign for stranger things, especially not in service of gayer episodes

Yeah I’m just messing. I often don’t come across as sarcastic or vice versa. I know that one show wouldn’t influence all that, it’s just nice to have something to theorize over again, and just throwing things out there is fun. It would’ve been cool if it happened, regardless of the implausibility.

I MIGHT’VE JUST CRACKED #CONFORMITYGATE

We’ve had a MASSIVE clue about it being canon since the beginning.

What we’ve actually been looking at is a play. The finale is a play. The MindFlayer has been forcing them into “conformed” roles (we’ve known this since the beginning of the theory) BUT the poster practically confirms it.

Take a look at the poster (especially the primarily red one)

ITS FRAMED THE SAME WAY AS THE FINAL SHOT.

The staircase AND the door. When Mike closed the door, it wasn’t actually their happy ending, the door is literally in the same position as the MINDFLAYER. He’s trapping himself in a FALSE REALITY.

Eleven walking back down the stairs case is them finally (hopefully) breaking free.

Also this might not be as relevant but the outfits could suggest they’ve been under the influence SINCE wearing those outfits
