Harry Styles To Play Mick Jagger In A Film About The Rolling Stones
Ever since Harry Styles burst onto the scene back in 2010 he has been compared to Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger.
There is a striking resemblance between the pair, and Hollywood are thought to be utilising this similarity by casting the One Direction star as Mick in a new film that will chronicle the Stonesâ 1972 album Exile on Main Street, which was recorded in France with a lot of drugs and alcohol.
Mick was almost 30 when he recorded the record but filmmakers are confident that they can transform 22-year-old Harry into the frontman with no problem at all.
Speaking to the Daily Star, a source explained: âHeâs about 10 years too young but make-up and special effects can sort that out.â
The film would definitely be an interesting watch with The Rolling Stones leaving England in the 1970s after spending all of the money they owed in tax on drugs, alcohol and rock and roll.
Keith Richards ended up renting a villa in the South of France for he and his bandmates, with Keith reportedly having thousands of pounds of heroin flown in.
The heavy drug use of Keith and Mick Taylor caused friction with Mick, Bill Wyman, and Charlie Watts - who were less involved with narcotics, but the album ended up being a huge success and went to number one in both the UK and US.
Speaking in 2003, Mick admitted that he wasnât a big fan of the record, explaining: âExile is not one of my favourite albums, although I think the record does have a particular feeling. Iâm not too sure how great the songs are, but put together itâs a nice piece.
âHowever, when I listen to Exile it has some of the worst mixes Iâve ever heard. Iâd love to remix the record, not just because of the vocals, but because generally I think it sounds lousy. At the time [session drummer] Jimmy Miller was not functioning properly.
âI had to finish the whole record myself, because otherwise there were just these drunks and junkies. Of course Iâm ultimately responsible for it, but itâs really not good and thereâs no concerted effort or intention.â
Harry is currently filming Christopher Nolanâs war epic âDunkirkâ and has not commented on speculation surrounding this role.
