“shut the hell up,” he hissed, his eyes didn’t leave the movie screen, but he was leaned towards the person, his eyes narrowed, “do you know what a movie is made for? not for giggling or whatever you’re doing.”
nina’s head snapped towards the person who seem to be irritating ian and she let an awkward chuckle. “i’m sorry- what my friend here meant, was just maybe tone down your laughing just a little bit.” she whispered. “you good?” she asked ian, a small smile on her lips.
Alec couldn’t help but giggle at the girls awkward yet aware gestures. “Spare me?” he cocked his eyebrow up with a smile that could potentially be a smirk. “babe, you know I could steal your food and throw you over my shoulder so you can’t steal it back, right?”
“wow- is that a threat? because then maybe i won’t spare you.” she joked, laughing a little.
She rolled her eyes at the girl’s reaction, but smiled nonetheless. “Yes, really. Now will you calm down? You sound more excited about it than I am. Besides, it was only one date. –Who knows if I’m ever going to see him again.” Which she did want to, but she wasn’t going to mention that just yet. “Do you know a guy named Luca? Tall with nice eyes?”
“you probably are going to see him again. i bet you five bucks, you guys are gonna see each other again.” nina said, raising her eyebrows. “does he live in our apartment building?”
“I think you’re confused. I’m totally cute, not monster-like at all. Although, I can be scary if I want to be,” Shawn laughed, before scrunching up his face in an attempt to prove his point.
“oh yeah, that’s real scary.” nina chuckled. “that’s why you should just dress up as yourself for Halloween.”
“Yeah, see ya!” Kai grinned and waved goodbye at the person in front of him then turned to look at Nina, more than happy to walk away from the conversation he was in. “Thank you for that. I would’ve actually fallen asleep if I had stayed one more minute listening to them.”
“i’m sure they weren’t that bad.” nina chuckled as she walked towards the elevator.”i feel like pizza for dinner, you feel like pizza for dinner.?”
“I… I wouldn’t exactly say there’s a colder heart down there because I ended up going on a date,” she replied, pursing her lips for a moment. Of course Nina was the closest thing she would consider as family who wasn’t blood, so she wanted to tell the girl anything that was going on in her life.
nina’s mouth fell to the floor then a smile formed on her lips. “whaaaat? frankie?! really?!” of course she was serious, nina’s known the woman her whole life- she’s gorgeous and would have no problem getting herself a date well mayb except her cold-ish personality. “who? who? who?” she asked, sounding like an owl.
She shook her head with a smile before shoving her hands into the pockets of her jacket. “Maybe, but you don’t seem to be too terrified of that.”
“of course not- i know deep deep in that cold heart of yours, there’s a colder heart but deep deep deep down, you love me.” nina stated, ending with a laugh.

nina was mixing her mcflurry on the way to her apartment building, when she saw some familiar furniture removal people. she stopped in her tracks and squinted to see if it were really them because if they’re here then it only means one thing- one of her siblings were in town. please be jason, please be jason, she chanted in her head. she dumped the mcflurry in the bin nearby and bolted inside the building. when she saw him, she squealed in happiness, ran up to him and jumped on his back. “i can’t believe you’re here! why didn’t you call me?” nina said, grinning from ear to ear as she jumped off. @jasvns

“i know which door send the carolers to now,” he laughed, biting his tongue as he walked out of the elevator, “eye candy? that’s all i am to you, a piece of meat?” he asked, feigning offended. “i- i really do mean it though, you look good, i’m glad. i can’t really ask your brother about you since, well, he’ll get pissed so i’m- i’m glad you’re doing well.”
“and i’ll make sure the cookie sellers come to your door. actually no- i’ll make sure they won’t. so then i can have all the cookies.” nina chuckled and followed him out of the elevator. “yeah sorry to break it to you” nina chuckled again, this was sort of jackson’s super power on her, making her laugh. “yeah, i understand, he didn’t speak much about you either. me too, i’m glad you’re enjoying your company counting life. you are enjoying your life right?” nina asked.
“I don’t know who that is.” he laughed along. “Turns out I’m helping out at a school play. Are you coming to see my acting debut?”
nina just laughed harder at the statement. “wouldn’t miss it for the world. who are you playing?”

his eyes looked where she’d put her hand down, forcing himself to stay natural, how could she act this casually, well, he bargained that nina was always a little nervous or a little jumpy so maybe he was reading it wrong, he clicked the button for the third floor, “really?” he raised his eyebrows, he’d been a busy body the past few months but, was he really that unaware? “yeah, actually. i’m 104, but i run into this guy more times than anyone else in the damn building, pretty sure he was stalking me at first.” he bit his bottom lip before letting his smile on again, “i guess we’ll be running into each other a lot then.
“yeah 206″ nina said chuckling. wait- did they really just exchange room numbers and why was she trying to memorise it?. she chuckled at jackson’s statement. “well you’re eye candy, what can i say” nina said, giving out another awkward chuckle. “yeah, i hope-guess, i guess so.”
“great, great,” he said, starting to walk inside the building, he pressed the elevator button to go up, waiting, “he’s gone for the weekend and just asked me to stop in once a day, i don’t have to change the litter box or anything which it-” he noticed he was rambling, he sighed, “yeah, it’s not bad. where are you staying? around here?”
nina walked beside him, eyes wide open when they walked in the building. no way. she chuckled at his rambling, it was cute. she always found it cute when he rambled. “it’s nice of you to do it.” nina said while putting a hand on his arm but quickly removing it and looking straight ahead. she stepped into the elevator once it opened. “yeah second floor actually. is, is this your apartment building?”
he only looked at the bush once more before nodding, “that’s a good study, probably should have let you pick what you wanted but it’s a good one none the less.” he laughed, probably not at the joke, maybe at the situation, his hand rubbed the back of his neck, looking at the apartment building steps away from them, “i get it, uh- listen i’m supposed to feed my neighbors cat-” it wasn’t a lie, it sure did sound like one though, “you can come if you want, we can- uh, catch up.”
“yeah it sucks” nina said chuckling lightly. she was glad that her very very bad joke got at least a laugh from him. “oh right yeah, i understand” nina had thought he was saying good bye and she was surprised that she felt a flood of relief when he asked her to join. “yeah i’d love to help you feed your neighbors cat.” nina grinned. she crossed her fingers this wouldn’t me anymore awkward.
