Lily tipped her head up into the kiss, one hand coming up to curl over the nape of Hudson’s neck. Kissing him still felt like a treat. A privilege she wasn’t even sure she deserved but one she did not want to give up. She broke the kiss slowly and then smiled up at him. “Hello you.” she whispered before tipping her head forward to rest her cheek on Hudson’s chest. Deep breaths followed as she took in the scent of him, allowing it to comfort her. Hudson had always been her rock, something she hadn’t completely appreciated until she had lost him.
The feeling of Lily’s lips against his still felt as close to perfection as he was sure was humanly possible. It just felt so right. Like he was finally able to express how he felt about he and feel the way she felt too. This was no longer a one sided stint, and there were no words that Hudson could place to the feeling of knowing that she wanted this with him of all people. Once she broke the kiss, Hudson’s hand gently stroked her back, his brow furrowing. “Hey...Lil, you alright? What’s up?”
